Gospel on True Love

True love is not always displayed by favour (Proverbs 31:30) or by kind gestures like appealing smiles and a nice hug; but one of the good ways we can show true care and love for one another is by correcting the wrong doings and attitudes among one another (Proverbs 13:24; Proverbs 22:15; Proverbs 23:13).

This can be done through right counseling (Proverbs 11:14) , but for the ungodly counsel from the ungodly, please avoid (Psalm 1:1).

All in all and above all, the greatest true love we can show is not to man but to God; and for this reason, Jesus Christ our Lord said if you love Him, keep His commandments (John 14:15). For this is the greatest commandment of all and the greatest way we can show true love to God and indirectly to man also (Matthew 22:36-39).

Verdict: We are all called to serve and not to be served (Matthew 20:28).

What Did Jesus Christ Mean When He Said Believers Are the Salt of the Earth?

As it is written in Matthew 5:13, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men."

Jesus Christ used the everyday table salt we use in cooking and seasoning to describe and make comparison with believers and His followers in the quoted key verse above.

So many ideas has sprang up from this topic of discuss and I will also like to know you own thought too, but before then, this is what I believe Jesus Christ actually meant when He described His people as the salt of the world.

A critical look on the verse of Matthew 5:13, Jesus Christ was not only making comparison between His believers and normal everyday salt, but was also referring to two different types of salt: "the salt of the earth" that cannot lost it savour if it continues to remain a salt (John 10:28, 29); and the salt that has already lost its savour, flavour or taste
(Matthew 5:13).

Now you may ask which is the salt that cannot lost it savour and the salt of earth that has already lost it savour?

There are two types salt: the true salt that cannot lost its savour, even if thrown away, it will still remain a salt with the flavour intact because of it genuine source of extraction and mode of production; and there is another type of salt that is collected from the Dead Sea by evaporation. The substance resemble pure salt but is not effective for preserving and seasoning.

The salt that cannot lost it flavour
Jesus Christ is referring to are His true believers which He categorically stated in the scriptures that no man shall be able to plug them out of His hands or make them lost their flavour (John 10:28) but can only attempt to make them to do so (John 15:19) but will always fail ( Psalm 91:7).

On the other hand, the salt which has already lost it flavour is referring to the scribes and Pharisees who have always been known for persecuting the followers of Jesus in an hypocritical way putting on false appearance of the "true salt" ( 1 Thessalonians 5:22) and continually trying to corrupt the true salt by their persecution and self-righteousness ( Luke 18:10-12).

Check carefully the preceding verses of Matthew 5:13 in Chapter 5:10-12 when Jesus our Lord was urging His believers to rejoice in persecution for their reward will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 5:12). They should rejoice when men revile them and say all manner of false things against them for His sake (Matthew 5:11).

Persecution can come in various forms and may not always mean bully or killing of the individual. Persecution can occur in the school, workplace and even within the family (Matthew 10:34-36; Mark 6:4 ).

The scribes and Pharisees where known to always trouble Jesus Ministry and His followers. They acted they have knew it all and not willing to know even better; they put on false righteous garment of holiness and love the praise of men when they call them Master, Rabi, Teacher etc.; hypocrisy is their lifestyle as they love to do things like giving alms and praying in the sight of men get the praise of men (Matthew 6:1-8 ).

The hypocrites and persecutors like the scribe and Pharisees are the salt Jesus was referring to have lost their savour and flavour. They were described as good for nothing who are already under the foot of men without them knowing it (Matthew 5:13).

Although, Jesus asked a
question of hope for the persecutors and hypocrites when he said " but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?" That is, if a salt is without a flavour how can it gain flavour and be fit for seasoning?

This was answered in Mark 9:50: "
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another. "

Persecutors and hypocrites of the gospel can only regain flavour and savour when He or she stop the act of hypocrisy and persecution and embrace peace and for this reason it is written in the scripture that we should all follow peace with all men (Hebrews 12:14).

Anyone who dies a persecutor ( Hebrews 9:27) of the children of God will not see God but will be thrown in outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Luke 13:27,28).

A Gospel Truth on Health

It is a complete truth that the noble doctors work hard diligently to treat human lives (Romans 12:11), but it's of greater truth that God does not only heal human lives but saves and rescue our lives through the redeeming blood of His Son—Jesus, He shed on the cross of Calvary for you and I (1 Peter 2:24). For this reason, in His last words on the cross, He said, it (i.e. all our sicknesses) is finished (John 19:30).

The doctor’s prescription is for the body alone, but the Gospel of Christ prescription is not only for the body, but for the Spirit also that gives life (John 6:63) so that man will not only live by drugs alone (Matthew 4:4).

The things of God that already has God's approval does not always require man's approval (Acts 5:29), and neither does it regard any man's disproval nor reproval (Romans 8:31).

The steps of every man ought to be ordered by the Lord and not to be wandered by the world (Psalm 37:23; Proverbs 5:21).

Dear Lord, you word which is true and faithful (Revelation 21:5) has said it that the ways, steps and moves of man are before your eyes (Proverbs 5:21).

Your word also has made us to understand that your ways and thought are different and higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). Help us Oh God to know and understand your ways more, that our steps might be acceptable in thy sight (Psalm 19:14).

The right way of life according to your word is narrow (Matthew 7:14) and broad is the way that lead to destruction (Matthew 7:13). Order our steps Oh God narrowly through the narrow way till the very end (John 10:27; John 2:5) and any attempts by man to wander your people away from the right narrow way shall not prevail in the name of your Son and our Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:28,29), Amen!

The Gospel Only on My Mind

Even if working hard diligently (Romans 12:11), I would rather fail the world than to fail the Lord; because I owe the world nothing, the Lord owe me nothing also, while I owe the Lord everything who only is the giver of anything (John 3:27).

It’s Jesus Christ first and everything else is last (Matthew 6:33) because there is no bigger success in the world than knowing the Lord and having the Lord as the Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16).

Now, release and restore all that aren’t yours and that are in your custody to the rightful owners (Matthew 18:11; Matthew 16:25).

I'm referring to Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16).

As it’s written in Ephesians 5:23 KJV : “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.”

In other words, the husband is the head and husband of the wife and Jesus is the head and husband of the church or wives (Ephesians 5:22) which consist of all truly born-again Christians and followers of Jesus whether male or female; married or single (Matthew 16:18; Galatians 3:28).

Paul, the author of Ephesians later on disclosed this as a mystery and that he was referring to Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:32; Matthew 16:18) but this literally is taken as just any earthly marriage between man and wife (Genesis 2:24).

Not everyone needs to believe in you when you believe in Jesus, because even the unbelieving needs to believe in Jesus first before they can actually believe in themselves (John 15:5; Titus 1:15 ).

Illustrating the Divine Trinity with the Human Head

The idea of the divine Trinity or God existing in three forms: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19), has been one of the most controversial topic of discuss in modern day Christianity. Some argue that the idea means three gods; while some say it means one God in three persons.

It’s brain cracking. I personally found it extremely confusing at the early stages of my conversion before this very idea sprang up in my mind. Even at that, I’m still finding more answers to many unanswered questions concerning the topic. In the mean time, let me give out what I have and know for now as no man can have or know it all in a single day just as Rome wasn’t built in a day.

The word “trinity” was not spelled out verbatim in bible; just as the word bible was not spelled out verbatim in the bible also, but the idea of the trinity is found in the bible (Colossians 2:9). The word that signifies the concept of trinity in the scriptures is “Godhead”. Godhead is the synonymous word for “trinity” in the bible just as bible is not found in the word of God but the word “scripture” is found and it’s the synonymous word for “bible” in the word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

In Romans 1:20 KJV: “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”
In other words, the invincible thing of God are clearly seen even from the creation of the world and by the things that are made in it both eternal power and Godhead (I.e. trinity) itself (Romans 1:20). This means that the Godhead can be understood with the thing that are made in the world but in this case I will be using the human head which we all have and see everybody with everyone on daily bases.

The trinity from my own observation of the head of the beautiful child from the photo uploaded is one God in distinct forms performing different functions using the eye, nose and mouth as the model with eye representing the Father, nose representing the son and the mouth representing the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 43:10; 1 Corinthians 8:4).

The eye represent the all seeing part of God who is omnipresent with eyes going to and fro the earth seeing all the doings and goings of man (2 Chronicles 16:9; Proverbs 5:21).

The nose represent the breath and life giving part of God and this is through Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth and the life and no man can come to the Father unless through the Son, Jesus (John 14:6; John 6:63; John 6:53).

The mouth represent the Holy Spirit which is the speaking part of God teaching man all things concerning the Father and Son (John 14:26).

God, unlike man, who is the creator of the universe can choose to exist and appear in any form that pleases Him and does not mean He is not the same one God (Exodus 6:3). I believe God chooses to appear in different forms because the sinful nature of man cannot withstand the righteous form of God since light and darkness have nothing to do with each other (Romans 1:18; Psalm 71:19).

The Holy Spirit, who is God, descended in the form of a dove during the baptism of Jesus does not mean the Holy Spirit is dove but that God Himself signifying His presence in the form of a dove (Matthew 3:16-17). The Holy Spirit taking the form of fire at the Pentecost does not mean the Holy Spirit is fire but took the form of fire signifying the presence of God (Acts 2:1-4).

In like manner also , God took the form man in Jesus to die for the sins of man (Philippians 2:6) does not mean that God is man or man is God, but God in man (John 1:14).

The ear represent the man who cannot see God but God can see man and everything through anything (2 Chronicles 16:9). Man cannot see the invincible Father, Son and Holy Spirit but is expected to pay attention to the invincible speaking part of God– the Holy Spirit, but the Devil and minions represented by the temporal hair and as numerous as grasses grow so tall to cover the ear (man) to prevent man from hearing voice of the Holy Spirit but in the end their labour will be in vain as they will be cut off and thrown and burnt into an eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20:10; Revelation 20:15; Psalm 37:38).

That I believe was Jesus's prophesy promising to go to the heart (middle) of the earth first before His resurrection and ascension (Ephesians 4:9).

To do what? To set all captive saints free since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden (Ephesians 4:8; Genesis 3:24), who could not ascend to heaven unless the price is paid for the complete remission of their sins and made justified by the blood of the Lamb that was shed on the cross of Calvary for you and I (Romans 3:23; Revelation 12:11).

Could this mean that hell is located at the core of the earth?

Well, I don’t know, and cannot conclude without full biblical proof.

The good works of Jesus didn’t end on the cross because He is still doing greater works even up till now (Matthew 28:20).

When He said it was finished (John 19:30), He didn’t mean He was through with His good works.
