oga thank you.

This Nairaland doesn't have objective souls and that is why it is going down.

See people here whining the winners and attacking people for saying the truth, as if we don't all know how this will go down.

I have proffered solutions multiple times and nothing has been done. They will just click on my profile, sight my picture and go for that. Their brains are too tiny to even read through the solutions

I've been on NL for 8 years, there is no kind of insult I haven't gotten from biased people, I no dey kuku read their trash again. At least I have my picture up, 98% of people who come at me don't even have the balls to put up their picture

I just have to quote you.

You could have the best solution, you could have the best advice, you could even have the best idea. But my dear, when your solution, opinions and ideas are laced with so so much spite, abusive and hurtful words, those that matter would rather make the same mistake than listen to you.

If you advice them and they refuse, you leave.

Sometimes I do think if you're naturally sad, hateful and spiteful. I follow you mehn and I see all these things.

Remember, you're a woman.

I agreed with you till I read the bolded, then I chuckled. Seriously, _Onila? grin.
forget that she acts like her head is an asylum, oni-la is someone who has an eye for beauty. Her threads on beauty of African women was one of the most popular back then and it still has one of the majority pages on Romance Section

On-ila knows her onions in beauty, even so, there will be seven judges for a reason

I am a human being first, so save the gender BS for someone who cares. Guys say worse things to ladies on NL and nobody quotes them to say "remember, you are a man"

And yes, I am spiteful, hateful and sad if that is what you can infer. You kuku don't know me, but have your pick of the lot

You never quote me whenever I joke around or say something funny, you wait for me to say something bad, then you make your presence known. Is that why you follow me? Because I'm following you and I don't even bother to monitor you, talk less call you out on anything.

Nna biko leave me alone. At least my spiteful words have gotten the attention and there will be change. Better than being all nice and frilly and achieving nothing. We cannot all be observers

Hopefully, I never have to repeat myself as far as this contest goes henceforth. Mission accomplished grin

Ichigo? His bankai is lame. Nothing to it. It's suppose to be about speed, but he still get his assed whooped every time.

Ulquirra's resurrection has two stage. He's the only espada to attain that stage. Yet he's ranked No. 4.

Knowing he is the actor and cannot die is enough for me plus he is a good role model, You know?

It was really interesting watching Ulquiorra shîi-stomp Ilchigo though. grin

How goes it?

l proferrd solutions last time to dygeasy, but in true dictatotial nature, he shot me down and failed to apply it and is bringing the same nonsense again

On that thread I said the contestants should be presented to five-seven neautral Judges (non mods, but popular NLers) from 5-7 different sections once the Top 10 have been decided via votes from other NLers

These judges will be the ones to seive out the contestants based on beauty, interviews (oral & written etc) until we have a winner.

They don't even have a proper Q&A session for NLers...questions like "name five popular NLers in five sections", when did NL reach a million members? Name 5 NL mods....I don't see these in the Q&A, so, how is it really an NL beauty contest? undecided

The fact that organisers can't even reason like this and I have to waste my time suggesting this EVERY year is aggravating.

Pray tell, is that not how pageants are run? This one, they can't even get judges, they just leave everything to NLers as if it is election.

A beauty contest is not an election, it is a selection. The sooner the organisers of this farce learn that, the sooner non-Romancelanders will take it seriously

This is the last time I will proffer this solution, since most people are blind every time I did it. A former Mr NL contestant even mentioned the irregularities and nothing was done. The last time there was any sort of change was four years ago, but such a contest ought to be reviewed yearly

If people repeatedly complain and organisers never change the model, does it not make them dictators?

Bring in judges, I will even name Onila head judge if necessary, I will find seven judges and we will have a FAIR contest, anything else is a farce

[b]Yes! The introduction of judges is a good development but have you for once thought of the down side of it?

Would you be here to defend the judges when aggrieved parties whom their contestant may have lost the contest begin to cast aspersions and accuse the judges of bias?

When the judges of a contest are attacked for bias the credibility of the whole contest is flawed.

Now tell me, which do you think is better to deal with. That contestants are accused of being too popular to contest or that the judges are accused of being biased?

You're and old member here and you know how shït gets uncontrollable here on NL when it hits the fan.

So if you think they have not considered that option reason again. And I'm sure you were ignored by Dygeasy probably because you never put your opinions the right way. Why should you be taken seriously when you come openly and attack in the name of stating opinions.

You don't call people out just because you feel you can state what you feel without considering their own thought process and how they'll take your opinions.

It's not all about throwing criticisms left right and center and think because you said something then you're definitely right.

You could be wrong too!

Just always learn to have a positive and optimistic view towards things.

The people you're criticizing are actually doing their best to see that it doesn't fall short of standard and instead of encouragements and suggestions what we are seeing is tongue lashing and throwing of rocks.

we have sorted it out. Ranting works sometimes smiley

No, I doubt they had considered that option. People will never be fully satisfied, that's human nature, but my model is exactly how pageants are run, so complainants will not have a solid leg to stand on. After all, NLers will still be involved
