The Great Water meeting.

The men of the kingdom gathered under the great Iroko tree. They pondered how to make that which they needed to exist. Ponder they did, so critically and so deeply that they forgot they existed.

grin grin grin yeye

So you cannot create what doesn't exist? And you're still an atheist? I shake my head

I like the way you've structured it grin
You have no choice, I'm a smart man. Got a generous IQ upgrade when I laid the cross of Jesus at his feet and ran away. grin

bennyann:

It would be easier if anyone can tell of any element we never evolved with but we needed it as time goes on and with science we were able to create that particular element. Now, is there anything like that so far, no matter how minute or unimportant?
Can 1 exist without 0?

bennyann:

Maybe we should just skip to a direct question like how can water be created in large quantity for continuous use to satisfy an unlimited need of a particular specie in a waterless world?
How do you need something which doesn't exist? Can our eyes desire colors that do not exist? Me don dey confuse sef.

I'm sure the op knows what he's talking about and where he's driving at though.
It seems he's driven off the cliif of Reason, and crashed in the valley of Calamity.

Sorry but please do not derail this thread.

Nobody here has said anything remotely linked to thinking outside the box.

I have given my scenario and environment and if you really want to say something proper or seemingly so, you would go back to the OP and look at my other responses, look at my choice of words and their implications and then imagine yourself on this my planet Mars and then think up an answer which may be probable or not even possible. At least you would have tried.

Ok..my attempt albeit a weak one.

I think there is a false equivalence here. In the first scenario, water is more than just an idea.. It's not abstract. Existence in this case is more of keeping the body alive and healthy.

God is an abstract idea. Existence is more about our core, why we are here, how we came to be etc.

It is clear that we are incapable of deciphering your conundrum.
This is the part where you solve the riddle.

Not really! I will let it simmer for a while longer. The fact is that a lot of us here say we are critical thinkers so I want to see how critical this critical thought is.

Can a thought be deemed critical when it is still confined?

Thought is all we have as people. Thought before action. So I will let this simmer for a while.

Are we to reason this from front to back or from back to front before we can see the answer? Or are we to limit reasoning to parameters we are "restricted" to?

Attempts from anyone please!

If you think so. However man is capable of extraordinary things if they set their heart to it. "Man" in this case isn't limited to me. So we are all capable of extraordinary things when we set our "hearts" to it.
