Nigeria is a giant not because of its oil or resources but because of its large population, uniqueness among other countries, experience, Diverse culture, strong spirit of Leadership without relenting,able men and women,ability to undergo series of challenges and hard times.The issues of Nigeria and politics of Nigeria cannot be understood by a non citizen, many countries plus even America cannot undermine Nigeria just like that.Someone should think of it,despite all the challenges we are facing, there are still many positive things going on in the country.
Its the Nigerian spirit, no African country or any country can beat that God given spirit. Kenyans and other countries reading this should think of this very well.

All of these is what makes Nigeria the giant?

*uniqueness? - like that's something exclusive to Nigeria,there are 50 plus countries in Africa and the last time I checked each and every country has a unique and distint cultures.

*Population? - were you taught about food pyramid in school? If you were you will know that population is actually a curse and it should be curbed so that people don't compete for scarce food and resources.why else do you think China introduced "One Child Per House" policy? It's called being economical.

Leadership? - I don't know what to say here so i'll skip.

Politics? - It has never been easy for a foreigner to understand politics of another country,everyone is battling their own demons to even bother trying to understand politics of another man's country.

Ability to undergo Challenges? - Some countries in Africa have faced some of the bloodiest civil wars much worse than what Nigeria has faced but today they are some of the economical stable countries on the continent.



Let me ask this question; If America decide to undermine you what will you do? What retributions will there be? .the truth of the matter is that America sees Africa as a small fish in the pond,they only dilly dally with the world's big dogs and Nigeria is nowhere near their radar

Greetings old man, here is abit of History for you. I know you might like this.
The Chinese came to SA as slaves and worked alongside blacks to build tunnels, harbours, and railways.

The Cape imported few slaves from west africa in the 1650s and they died out and some were transhipped to the Sychelles and Mauritius.
The Cape decided to imported slaves from the East African coast and Asia since their first batch of west africans couldn't adapt to the cold weather of SA.
