Hello Pristine....Can see you are doing a nice job here....
Please I want to oven bake my camry 07 (red colour) with very minimal body work. I will like to change my front bumper though. How much will it cost me.

Really sorry for the late response, it will cost 65k to oven bake it. I reckon the front bumper will cost between 20 to 25k for a Tokunbo one depending on how clean it is.

Are you capable of stripping the entire paint off a vehicle with no damages and start off your prep work from that phase even at an extra cost? I have discovered upon close observation that the prep work done in most Nigerian body shops are pretty much shoddy but yours seem worthy of a trial.

Do you intend to change the colour of the car? As it's not normally necessary to strip the entire paint off when prepping a car for respraying.

MrPristine, I'm planning to get a tokunbo vehicle but I want to change the colour. I believe this will involve stripping the existing colour. What will it cost? Car is a 1st generation xterra.

PastorKun:
@siena
Sounds like you strip down the car completely like the car pictured below, yes we could do that but it's a lot more labour intensive, takes a lot more time, costs much more and worse still most people can't tell the difference. However if a customer insists that is what he wants and is ready to pay the bill, we are more than willing to do it.

@PastorKun/@MrPristine I assume your quote of 80k is for the generic outside painting. If I want the stripdown treatment for my Xterra, what would the cost be, and how long will it take? I am the kind of person who would appreciate the difference.

i normally don't do this. but this is just to prevent others from making the horrible mistake i made taking my tokunbo SUV to pristine autos. i regret ever stepping foot there. there is nothing professional about them. my vehicle stayed there for 7 days as against 4 days despite the fact it didn't have dents. the work was very rough. they ended up giving the car dents and rough body with their filler. paint started peeling from their workshop. i paid for oven bake, but i think its not functional. the owner was never around to supervise the work done by his boys. i'm in pains. he messed up my car. advise to whoever intends to go there is to desist from such till they get their acts together.

yes it was. Very bad that for the first time I was shouting on top of my voice at my elder. I couldn't believe my eyes. The car had door dings I wanted him to smoothen out and some scratches. Now it looks like what a road side painter did. Of course I'm taking the vehicle to another place to redo the work. I'm not talking of the headlamp whose plastic hooke that holds the screw, his panel beater broke. The chrome under the headlamp, he broke the hook too. Just ask the price of infiniti Qx4 headlamp, u will understand my pain. The only dent was close to the fuel tank cover. There was no evidence of the inside trunk panel removed to hit out the dent. Instead he used filler to fill it up as if he was plastering a house with cement. Of course that area is visibly swollen. The other vehicles parked there did not get any different treatment from mine. So, be guided.

For reasons best known to him, he is exaggerating the whole issue and misrepresenting the facts. Yes there were a couple of minor blemishes on his vehicle by the time we finished it which is not unusual. What happens in this circumstance is that those errors are corrected and redone but in a circumstances were you have a customer that is in a hurry to collect his car, you are not given the time to correct the errors as was the case in this matter. He misrepresented the facts when he claimed his car spent seven days with us instead of four. The fact is that I told him that it will take five days to get it done, he said he wanted it in four days and my response was that we will try. He dropped off his car on a Monday and we were supposed to deliver the following Friday however it rained a couple of times during the week which slowed down our work. I even called to let him know of the problem with the rain and told him that the car won't be ready till Saturday. On Saturday morning before my boys were able to do the finishing touches on the car he got to my work shop and started criticizing an unfinished work. I explained to him that we still needed to do the finishing and make some corrections and he agreed to come back later in the evening to pick up his vehicle. I later called him after we had done the finishing to come and pick his vehicle and he responded by telling me he couldn't make it till Sunday morning which I obliged to deliver it to him on Sunday morning despite the fact that we don't work on Sundays and I was supposed to be in Church.

I will admit that at the point of delivery there was a couple of very minor blemishes that you will really need to scrutinize the car well before you observe it. The choice I had was to either correct the minor issues which will delay delivery by another two days and upset his travel plans or deliver his car and let him decide if he wanted it like that or the travelling was more pertinent.

The point to note is that no one not even car manufacturers can guarantee a perfect job directly out of the Oven. Blemishes are a normal part of the paint process, what we do as professionals is to reduce the occurrence of blemishes by mitigating against it and to correct them if and when they occur. But in an instance when a customer puts you under tremendous pressure to deliver within a certain date, you may not have the time and the liberty to correct these blemishes and that is what happened in this case.

At Pristine automobiles, customer service excellence is my watch word and I take pride in satisfying my customers but in the event I am not given the opportunity to make amends, there is not much I can do. Thanks for taking time to call me out.

all lies. You call them minor blemishes. My car was with you from Monday to Sunday, yet you still had corrections to make. God knows I exaggerated nothing here. I pointed out all your huge errors and you turn out now to call them minor blemishes. Why didn't you call them minor blemishes when I showed you all the nonsense you did. You kept quiet cos you know you did a horrible job. As at Saturday I came and screamed, what was your response over the phone. That u had not seen the finished job. Now u said I complained over an unfinished job. U promised to rectified the issues and actually called in the evening that everything was rectified. When I came to pick up on Sunday, what did I see. I showed u all the obvious errors even a roadside painter wouldn't do. U couldn't talk. Truth is that u are not who or what you claim you are. You don't know the job and lack supervision over your boys. You are deceitful. I pity your next victim.
