Your issue is percular. Try flashing back previous build that might help. Anybody how has updated to this new update with build number 20170815 should indicate please.

Then maybe ur mtn sim is a very old sim, I think maybe 32kbytes sim

The mtn 4G works well on m8 pro

But if u are sure u have used ur sim on another phone n it showed 4G then its an area problem

Have u done a factory reset?

U guys should try clearing cache first sef

Switch ur phone off, when d phone is off, let ur hand be on volume + or up button then while holding that button, press the power button, immediately the screen lights up, leave the power button but let ur hand still b on the volume up button, then what will appear on ur screen are 3 options, scroll to recovery using volume + then use vol - to select, u will get something like a robot that has fallen down and a pop up showing "no command", then hold the power button an tap the volume button two or three times till u get to recovery.

At recovery, scroll down to "clear cache" and click on it and scroll to "yes", then once that is done, reboot ur phone, when ur phone comes on n u see no difference, try to do a factory reset, if symptoms persists, Na flashing sure pass

Good morning good people just to say a big thanks to all contributors on this forum who came to my aid with encouraging words and helpful links. I have been able to get around the frp lock somehow. Amazingly I'm still on the 20170815 build but now all the bugs have been fixed.

It's always advisable to drop the procedure used in solving a problem. Just in case a similar scenario plays out.

i just did now mine flashed back to 20171508 (requires pc + data cos the build is a file of 1.03gb)
it's worth is anyway i have my leagoo back now and not that useless updated version.

nice advice bro, but clearing dalvik cache didn't work, even flashing will still not revert to the previous build (20170508) the only way out is to download the previous build from this link(https://www.needrom.com/download/leagoo-m8-pro/). I DOWNLOADED THE ONE OF V3.06 on the site about 1.03gb of space then flashed using sp flash tool
Chikena! i got my leagoo back without losing any userdata(note: do not select user data on sp flash tool so as to retain ur apps)

U can hook me up on whatsapp (zero eight one four eight three two two three five three) for any other question.

Wow, congratulations.

I had to do a factory reset after doing a hard reset to clear the DMC but luckily I had backed up my apps and most of my data is on my Google account so I didn't lose much of my user data. My phone is working well now.

Just to encourage us to read. I got my solution from browsing the net and watching many YouTube solutions (both good and bad) in order to figure it out. I have absolutely zero tech background so if I could figure it out so can anyone else. Don't lose hope!

If you had checked the group you'd have seen reasons not to update. I feel like someone needs to create a Thread telling others not to Update their Leagoo M8 pro

Not his fault I myself almost updated mine but had to. wait seeing nobody has said anything about it and later forgot to mention it.

obi58 kindly drop the procedure just in case someone else runs into the same problem.

You should have cleared data before update...the updare Version is an entirely different rom...its not freeme is even though you myt see freeme there

You are not on the latest version...the latest is 5.8.4
This versions security is low..its got lots of hidden virus nd highly susceptible to virus too...

Check ur internet settings. U might need to configure it manually.. Or call ur network customer care to send u the settings.

I just bought the device two days ago and I have discovered something; although I Have not subscribed Fully; i do night browsing;but I end Up not being able to download anything on playstore and even Uc mini; it Just keeps retrying and doesn't download till I run out of data-Please help with a solution
