Hello all,

I just want to warn you about these pitfalls associated with applying for visa. Please apart from the very basic documents required by the embassy for student visa (like DOV, legalized academic documents, etc) do not be too enthusiastic to submit any other documents that you are not sure can be verified (even if you think it is genuine). You may meet all criteria for the visa, but only one document may discredit your visa application.

Another hilarious heresy I see some ppl postulating in this forum is that account statement may be verified but not duly verified. What I meant by duly verified is that everything about your account is visible to the person verifying your account and only God knows what they will relay to the embassy. Before you doubt me let me explain further that my sister is an external auditor that auditors and help get tax clearance papers for companies... at inland revenue...which is tax office... the govt ppl check any account presented to them (maybe via CBN) using your BVN. The outcome is that all accounts associated with that BVN comes under scrutiny... all money that passes through those accounts till date... calculating tax is a precise mathematics that give no room for doubts from tax defaulters not to know what they are owing.

So depending on which source the embassy is using... a single account statement potentially opens all other accounts associated with that BVN for probe no matter the bank used. So just be careful when applying for Sheghen visa, especially since you know that your account statement will be verified. Do not take for granted what can be verified about the account, provided you are sure it will not discredit your chances to get the visa.

Ok Thanks... Now it's clear why some require health insurance from home and some can decided to do it in Italy.. If you know that u must write a test before you're admitted it is advised to have a health insurance from home

I have over 10 people currently in Siena, I have over 4 people rejected this year (though they reapplied and waiting for visa) I have another 6 people granted visa to Siena This month. U can't tell me anything about Siena. Even the scholarship format sample circulating among the student (both old and prospective students) was done by my kid bro in sienna

The people ur talking about what documents did dey submit? who were their sponsors? Wat document did dey present to backup their statement?

I think you'll do alot of us here a great service by answering those questions u mentioned above. Am aware the sponsor has to be a mother/father. But what documents do u need to back up a statement like you said? Thank u in advance.

Documents such as letter of sponsorship, signed and if possible stamped on a letter headed, valid international passport data page attached, and if you want to take it to the extreme...court affidavit of sponsorship. Pls don't quote me o.

Lol. A signed letter of sponsorship is enough tp back a bank statement from your parents. Also I got my visa today; Private School, Postgraduate, No medical insurance

The ones I saw on the net were expensive.

I think it would be better when I get there.

In life never give up ooo.. After the refusal on 21-08-2017. We reapplied and after 8working days we were granted ooo
We collected the visa today oooo.. UniSiena.. Undergraduate, but we included medical/travel insurance. Please anyone with an idea of a cheap flight and accommodation please help
Two questions please...when did you apply? And is health insurance the only thing you added extra when you reapply, or you also tinker with some things to make the application better and what could that be?
