These tips are helpful to those of us searching for a good Laptop.

Speaking of the Laptop search, I've actually been on it for long now, and really, I've not been able to settle with an option. Well, it's not that I'm super choosy when it comes to Laptops but the thing is, I have preferences that are bit unusual (as someone pointed out to me).

Firstly, I'm a student, so my Power needs aren't all that high when it comes to Laptops. I'm a fan of bleeding edge processors but I don't overly need them, I'm a 'productivity' person who loves Using Word processors, Presentation Software, and other productivity softwares everyday, I just need a laptop which can keep up with that (and some more). I also like a bit of style and statement to my tech, so laptops with stylish and fashionable designs are a deal breaker for me.

So, My options are down to a few Laptops; The Microsoft Surface, and Huawei Laptops (I'm not gonna buy a MacBook). The issue here isn't the budget, as I plan according to what I want to buy. I'm really concerned since these Laptop Brands aren't all that popular in my locality,aftersales services might not be readily available. Do you advise that I just go ahead and make the jump?

Microsoft have customers care centres in Nigeria that can maintain their products under warranty i dont know of Huawei tho

Just use the 50k to get a good rifle or pistol and go and steal a core i5, 750gb hdd, 8gb ram laptop at computer village. grin

Actually, your statement might be misleading -one might think it's used to store data we only need for a while.

Ram is used by your processor to store volatile data (temporary data lost at shutdown). It's faster to read from ram than your memory card, etc.

Your ram stores the characters in your game, they tones in your music and the frames for your videos. It is the memory of the processor.
