There was report of relief and joy in Biafra when their forces surrendered to the Federal troops. They accepted to go to war. There was said to be a chant at Nsukka then when people were shouting "Ojukwu give us guns". Two years later, many of them were dead, sick or living in fear of raids. Now, exactly the same thing is happening all over again. A reprisal happening in Kano just like in 1966. The reprisal was so terrible that it got to a stage that Gowon could not stop it.
