Good Afternoon Friends cool

Been thinking after reading interesting stuff on Sarassin's latest thread; LoJ's post specifically.

When I conceived, I had this moment during meditation that the one I was carrying is a "light bearer."
In that instance, I decided to search for a nameable name that means "light bearer"

I went to consult google, and I saw "Lucifer"
I shrugged so hard. "There's no way I'm naming him that!"

But then, I heard this voice in my head telling me that the name "Lucifer" is a fine name and is what it is said to mean.

However, what I have not gotten an answer to is whether or not this Lucifer is same as Devil that was cast out from heaven?

My sole basis for this conclusion is the Christian Bible. However, I wish to glean from other schools of thought on the matter.
Especially from my friends who practice esoteric arts.

I have consulted Wikipedia, but apparently, there's no consensus on there.

What's the difference between Lucifer and Satan?
If Lucifer is same as Satan, would there be a direct consequence if a child is named Lucifer (hoping it means Light-bearer), based on the circumstances surrounding its birth?

Do you have a basis for this thought?
Or like me, is the Bible your basis for thinking so?

lucifer is a title, satan is a person.

Lucifer in latin means "bringer of light' "morning sun" and so on

Hello Mizmycoli. Give me some time, I will give a sequential progressive analysis, from an esoteric christian perspective (since I know you fall more or less in that category). It will surely take a number of posts, and last a number of days. Now I'm a bit busy. I will start probably later today.

Greetings

Surely, someone bore that title, no?
If yes, is that person same as Satan?

Was the title transferred to another high spiritual entity when he was cast down?

Yes someone else did, Jesus did. he is called The morning Sun.

If yes, is that person same as Satan?

no ma'am, not everyone who bears the title of queen is Queen Elizabeth

Was the title transferred to another high spiritual entity when he was cast down?

I cannot pretend to know the politics of heaven.

My bible knowledge is rusty though, but, If Paul was correct, he alluded that Christ fills all things with himself, all in all.
That statement means that Christ is expressed in everything. Both evil and good, and that ultimately, his side, being the good side, the side of love will win.

I think of Christ as a higher entity than Lucifer.

Or maybe there are more than one Lucifer's.

In short, let me just keep mum and not confuse myself furthergrin

Hi wonderful day to you and your seed wink

Well a lot of people here already told you all there is to say about the name Lucifer. However for sake of human perception in the future or even present why not look for a name that is as close to the reason you have in mind as possible.

Names like Lucious or even Luke . Both mean "light".

May he bring light in abundance to you and yours.

Hello MzMycoli, I am sure LoJ will oblige you with more detailed information, in the interim here are my thoughts. The two entities are completely different one is an Angel and the other is a deity in his own right. We learn from the Books of Enoch that Satan is brethren to Michael, Uriel, Gabriel and Raphael, we are told that he rejected the dominion of God, declined to serve, formented rebellion and for this, was thrown into the great empyrean.

However, the Book of Job clarifies things a bit more, Satan is presented in his full status, he alone of all the angels does not defer to God, he parleys with God, he is cast as the executor of God’s will. However, the Rabbis rejected Enochian literary works in their scriptures and made every attempt to root them out rejecting any belief in rebel or fallen angels. They did not wish mythology to become a part of doctrine, therefore Satan was never eminent in the OT.

The Hellenized NT writers did not share the same view of their Jewish counterparts. Therefore the NT concept of Satan is completely different and very heavily influenced by the apocalyptic visions in the book of Daniel, as well as the equally nightmarish Book of Revelations both books reflect the aforementioned Enochian visions of Satan or, if you prefer, the devil.

In effect the reference work for the NT concept of Satan is now considered apocryphal by Christianity, but the imagery persists.

Lucifer is of course a deity most closely aligned with the interplanetary aspect of Venus, you already know all the appellations, Lucifer is invoked under the proper names and under the proper circumstances for that which he teaches, he is primarily a teacher as his name reflects. I would not advise naming a child Lucifer because of social connotations therefore for once I agree with Butterflylion.

I hope this helps.

@ d topic, Lucifer, according to the DOCTUFOS OF truth is Allah aka Lar.gas while Satan is Yahweh, aka Nymphidis. When Yahweh and Allah were fighting over power on a great mountain at Eden, they fought and pushed themselves over and they fell into the BOTTOMLESS Pit they earlier dug for the anakims and nephilims. Here is the Doctufos passage:

DOCTUFOS: Nimshi 5:25- 42

25. And it displeased Yahweh/Satan so much that many sons of God like himself had come to take possession of the earth which he once dominated by violence.
26. And Yahweh/Satan and Allah/Lar.gas blamed one another for all the things which had happened. Then did a great argument ensue between the two of them.
27. And Yahweh said, am I not greater than you? Now shall I show how great I am. And Allah said, who made you greater than me?
28. Now I shall take up that seat which you boast of. And I shall throw you into the bottomless pit which we have made.
29. And Yahweh said, if indeed you have the power to throw me there, now let us fight and see which of us is more powerful. Now shall I throw you into the pit and you shall not be able to come out of it forever. And they both agreed to pull out their wings.
30. And the pit which they had dug before was just a furlong away from the base of the great mountain on whose top were the twenty-four thrones surrounding the throne of Yahweh.
31. Then some of the winged homos fought in favour of Yahweh while the rest of them fought in favour of Allah.
32. And Yahweh and Allah strove for days and weeks and no one prevailed.
33. And around that time did Esias, one of the messengers of Yahweh which he always sent to the centre of the continent, come to the mountain of Yahweh in Eden.
34. And at that time did Allah hang on to the cloth of Yahweh because he was almost losing his strength, having fought for half a year. Then Yahweh pushed Allah with a great force towards the bottomless pit, but Allah held tight to the cloth of Yahweh such that the force sent them both in motion.
35. And they held on to the mouth of the large pit, but Yahweh lost balance suddenly, because he had a little experience of heights, but Allah had it more than him, because it was himself who made many birds.
36. Then Yahweh stretched out his long arm and held Allah by the hem of his cloth. But Allah kept his head out of the pit.
37. Then the pulling force of Yahweh became stronger.
38. And they both fell and landed into the great pit they had made themselves. And the saying of God Almighty was fulfilled.
39. And Esias saw Allah/Lucifer as he fell down into the pit, but he did not see Yahweh because his whole body was already in it. Then he saw Allah as he sank into the pit with a noise.
40. Then did he go to the continent to tell the people of the fall of Allah/ into the bottomless pit. But he did not know that Yahweh also fell with him.
41. And the winged homos of both Allah/Lucifer and Yahweh/Satan kept on fighting among themselves. For Michael and Gabriel had turned against each other. And Michael had decided to go with Allah/Lucifer while Gabriel had chosen Yahweh/Satan. And they fought themselves.
42. And for a thousand years after was relative peace upon the earth, because those who altered the peace had fallen into the pit they dug themselves.

Yes it does.
I could use more explanations nonetheless.
But it's clear now that Satan is a fallen angel while Lucifer is a deity.

Besides, I was so sure she was a He.
Lol.
Now that she is born and grown, when I see her act, I can't help but think sometimes that her gender changed in the womb.

satan and lucifer are both appellations, they are not specific individuals.

Lucifer means Light bearer. A Lucifer is a person whom God has granted special privileges/abilities above common people. He may be a great leader, a great soldier, a great musician, a scientist or inventor, or a great thinker, a pioneer and a pathfinder, presidents and prime ministers, kings and queens are all lucifers, lucifers are the leaders in their fields and everyone looks up to them.

satan however means adversary, resister of everything good. resister of God.

When God gives any man the capacity to become a lucifer, that person becomes great. His duty is to share light, knowledge and goodness. However, when that person becomes pompous, and begins to use the powers that God has given him for evil and for unedifying activities,he becomes satan. He becomes someone who resists God because in his rebellion against God he will be using his God given 'luciferic' abilities against God.

Mr President1 has answered your questions..............................They are both titles or adjectives used to describe certain individuals!!!

Lucifer is latin and has nothing to do with a hebrew demon that fell out of the sky(like pigeon dung)!!! It simply means "LIGHTBEARER"!!!

Satan on the other hand means "adversary" and it can be used to describe a variety of people!!! To religious people, the satan is the philosopher who is always asking for evidence of the 'talking snake'!!!
