vaccine schedule differs according to hospital/region.

your hospital/clinic should have given you a card/booklet containing a schedule of the vaccines your child should get at a certain age. once a vaccine is administered, it is usually ticked off on the card/booklet.

that said, at 12 months, my son got the following:
-Pneumococcal PCV vaccine, third dose
-Men B vaccine, third dose
-Hib/Men C vaccine, (single jab containing vaccines against meningitis C which is the first dose) and Hib which is the fourth dose)
-Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine - all given as a single jab

vaccines sure differs .... for 12-15months,we were given the MMR and vit A, was told PCV booster is not needed as she's taken three doses already.

changed to this clinic at 9months but the previous one had vit A, PCV booster and meningococcal conjugate listed for 12months and chicken pox & MMR listed for 15months
This is why I would like to know what attainable here in Nigeria particularly Lagos

I suggest you prep his meals this term and see if it's convenient for you and so on!

You can always Join the meal option at half term anyways and that will have given you enough time to scout and see if thier meals are to your standard and so on!

It's sometimes tricky though because some children will only eat with everyone else around them ie in the class is eating! In which case you may have " no choice" or decide to follow the school's time table for meal when cooking his lunch!

Good luck

Thanks ma'am! Hmm,my ds is the type that eats whenever he sees children eating around him!

I will scout as you've suggested and see how it'll go.
I truly appreciate your input.

Its normal for babies skin to peel few weeks after birth although so babies don't... My los skin peeled completely even her scalp, palm and feet was not left out...I also use shear butter till now

So just wait it out...Your los original skin is coming on.

request to see their food menu list for each day/week and ask what time of the day each meal is served.

also ask if there is an onsite chef and if meals are prepared fresh from scratch at the nursery everyday- (this is very very important as I once visited a nursery whilst I was searching for one for my child and they told me the meals are prepared 2 weeks in advance and kept frozen. . WTF !! angry ). also ask for a brief visit/tour of their kitchen.

if the menu is varied and covers all the key food groups and they are all prepared fresh from scratch everyday onsite by cooks/chefs in a clean/decent kitchen, then maybe you should consider this option - if you can afford the extra cost.

my child attends a nursery where all meals are provided covering breakfast, lunch and supper. there is also a bowl of different fruits just by the exit door and the kids are allowed to pick on their way out whatever fruit they want to munch on. this means that rather than having a child snack on unhealthy food like cake, biscuit or caprisoone, etc on the ride home, the child snacks on fruit which is very healthy.

kids that age would love to eat what their mates/friends are eating so your child might refuse to eat his homemade meals and get upset and insist on eating what his friends are eating.

personally, I actually prefer the option of meals provided by the nursery as its super convenient for me (who has time to make fresh spaghetti Bolognese or chicken mushroom soup at 6am for a toddler's lunch). undecided

I'm really so scared o bcus even when i prep food 4him on Sundays,he wont eat o,rather he'll eat from my sis...

2weeks what?! Haba for kids!? Dats not fair o! Shebi na God dey help des kids!

My son loves freshly prepared & tasty meal(if d food no sweet,he will never eat it,no matter wat u do!)

I'm grateful for your suggestions ma. Thank you ma

According to my dd immunization card

12months Vit A
15m MMR vaccine & penta v booster (they told me is not compulsory but since is in my dd imm card, I requested for it)
18m Measles booster (told me is not compulsory too but come 18m my dd is taking it)

Vit A supplement should be taken every 6months till they're 5years

Lagos state government child health book stopped at 9 months

Also check your child immunization card too

Zinc is half a tablet daily. You can dissolve in water.
ORS is one sachet dissolved in one litre of water and to be given to the baby as much as he or she can consume in a space of 24hrs. This means that the ORS you prepare today should be discarded tomorrow

Same happened with my baby, i didnt use anything and it just cleared on its own. But at that time i was using shea butter to moisturize his body so i cant really tell if that was what made it go, afterwhich my baby's real complexion came out. I guess it's normal.
