In SS 2- because I grew up on the Airforce Base where everything is documented as per military na - my colleagues in class happened on a document containing the list of people who had gotten born again in Primary four and behold yours truly's name was on it. My friends taunted me with it for days knowing I was very much a rascal like the rest of them. Chai, christianity with born again and backsliding and rededication merry go round.

A long time later as an adult I became born again for the umpteenth time. Went to church and put all my money in the offering basket believing God will miraculously provide a means of transportation home and strengthen my faith. Omo, I trekked home ooo and quite some distance it was. Not up to five years ago I did the same thing as my mumu never do. Had to go beg for lift after dropping my all by faith for Church building project.

My Holy Spirit baptism during my University days was something else. Was rolling on the ground laughing uncontrollably like the possessed maniac of Gedera. Went to church Sunday of that week and just started crying one kind dry cry(I am an unemotional person) and repeating this: He has called me, he has called me, he has called me. I was taken by the Elders to the church annex and prayed for as a rising spiritual star. I used to believe I was the Paul of this generation.

Was very active in Living Faith then. Went to church and the pastor preached on faith and said we should try to practice what was preached so much so that on Monday next I got up, went to Park and Shop in Abuja, believing I will come back with a lap top. While there, I saw some Lebanese and began to move closer to them believing they will come through for my faith. Last, last I had to beg for tp home and immediately I got home I started laughing at my own folly. I later got a laptop three years after while in law school through the bursary paid by my State Government.

I still believe in God but basically that God- like the insightful Athenians posit - is Unknown. I live my life free of the demands of religion. The Christian god of the Bible is a fraud, an impostor, an idol and a sick caricature of God.

I was also once am athiest but I have evolved to the point that I see that there is a far deeper phenomenon that we are unaware of and that the properties of God are unknown so you can call me a de facto agnostic thiest. God doesn't even have to be a sentiment being. The idea of Gpd waltzing around in the cosmos watching our every move and punishing people that didn't give a shit about him is just daft and idiotic

When I look back at that event, I count myself lucky. So atheists over to you. Even if you were not a christian but a muslim, you can contribute.

I don't qualify, least not technically. I was baptised as a baby - got a certificate to show I was, and I did go to church a lot at some stage; had to to understand what people meant. But it was never catching, so I can't say I was ever a Christian, having not been filled with the stuff apart from baptism and voluntarily to get understanding about what is meant when people say 'God'.

I've always had faith I'd eat a meal a day though. And there's been times it seemed I might not. But that day hasn't come about yet. And I have faith it never will.

Christianity is all about love. Demonstrated by the creator Himself. It is a life of loving God and your fellow people. As a Christian, you need patience, endurance, faith, humility, hope etc to succeed. If you say you don't value such a kind of lifestyle, I don't see how I can help you.

one can value such a lifestyle without joining your delusions, a lot of us are doing much better job of it than the average Christian

just like Dawkins said, if morality is what you value in Christianity, why not cut the middle man rather than carrying other baggage the middleman brought with the morality?
