Charge it, Factory reset, let the battery drain completely, leave it switched off and charge fully. If still no improvements, then it's battery. Remember to backup before reseting.

What rom are you on and when was your last update?

Some persons also complained about this rom. Have you drained the battery and charged it while switched off? Why not update to Nougat and do a factory reset?

Hello House, I have Xiaomi Redmi phone bought a few monrhs ago and have been enjpying it for a while now. I must say this is a great phone for the price I got it for and it thus goodbye to my signature brands

Recently I noticed that it refused to charge and I dedided to do some research here on Nairaland and read where someone said that the phone shoukd be switched off before charging. I did that nd it worked even though I noticed the charging rate is quite slower than what it used to be. It appears from my research that water could be he culprit here and I must say that the closest water may have come to the phone is so Saturday when I walked through a light drizzle of rain.

Can someone please advise on how I can I correct this anomaly?

Try another cable or charging source. Is it note 4?

I was on that ROM for weeks and my battery performance was either at par with the previous or a lil better. Different people with different experience aha.

Fact are, the baseus is made for bass heads, the plextone too has bass in abundance bt more balanced than the baseus...
The metal cover on the y split and plug doesn't make the baseus more durable than d plextone, more of a look than quality... It would had been better if the volume rocker is made of metals. That being said, the plextone even has magnetic adsorption to keep ur earphone tangle free...
Baseus is 6.41 usd while plextone is 6.49 usd.
In practicality the plextone wins bt in look baseus it is... U can not go wrong with either of the 2
Perhaps you skipped the part where i complained about stumbling on a leaked out cord. It never happened when i was using the Basues, never, and yeah the metal builds make it more rugged.

And who says the metallic absorption makes the PLEXTONE tangle-free? The packaging can't even be compared to the Basues, talk about wire tangling, you'd be frustrated for the first few days when it starts tangling like Rapunzel & her kingdom.

The wires of the Baseus has a smooth and robust feel so it doesn't entertain tangling (straight outta the box), but PLEXTONE on the other hand isn't smooth so you must be patient with it.

It looks and feels cheap in the first instance (PLEXTONE) as against the other.

You might be right about the sound quality though.

Here are their prices.

Rain dey always touch my own, it's not water. Before I say your cord is bad which is likely, ensure you insert the cord properly into the charger and also into the phone, have had this experience before. If it doesn't work get a good cord not just any cord. I can remember someone complaining of how slow the Redmi 4x charges. It happened to me some days back, but after changing the power source, was surprised how fast it charges, almost faster than the Redmi note 4x shocked.

How do you mean "change the power source"? Do you mean using another charger?

My RN4X is charging very fast.. I'm using the follow come cord and the new age charger I bought 2.1A output.. but the only problem is that I don'tlike the performance of the battery.... Overnight just only my data on and I even set my phone to power saver. But when I woke up.. I still found the battery dropped up to 6%

And I also noticed my background apps dont stay active.. like ucweb chrome.. if the two is on background and I open what'sapp and some few apps.. if I want to return to the either app.. the ucweb will pop that last section was crashed.. restore.. while chrome will just refresh page instantly

In my experience with nipost and post office, postal code dont really matter at allll, all that matters is your correct phone number, and your full address which should be correct as well, its your address that would determine which post office your item would land.so you are right on track.

I don't think the battery performance is bad if what you mean is a 6% drop and not dropping from 100% to 6%

You said you left your mobile data on (probably on 3G) overnight which should be nothing less than 6hrs.

I think a 6% drop in this situation is not bad. No be car battery dey inside the phone.. cheesy

Very good performance if you experience just 6% drop overnight with data on, I always switch off my data before sleeping with battery saver, and wake up meeting the battery intact.
