I'm so sorry I am unable to write too many details as of now but I summarise what I know and did into 21 steps. I am also providing two links to break down the application and nomination process fully.

1. Create a new EOI - you MUST select only NSW
2. Wait for Invitation to apply for Nomination
3. Apply for Nomination (AUD300) with all your critical details - basically, the same documents used for assessment plus CV
(No proof of funds required)
4. Receive Successful Application Outcome and DIBP ITA (at the Same Time)
5. Log in to immi.gov.au and create your Visa application profile (Do not submit...yet)
6. Click on "My Health Declarations", fill in all details TRUTHFULLY
7. Click on "My Applications" and fill in you and family health details to generate HAP IDs for all applicants
8. Go to IOM or any other approved Health assessment center. Book your medicals
9. Get Medicals done, wait 3 days to be sure your medical results have been uploaded on e-Medical portal
10. Cross check all details in your visa application.
11. Pay the Visa Fees and front load ALL documents
12. Pray well and daily
13. Check emails daily. Do not be nervous (You will be anxious)
14. Receive your direct grant(s)
15. Go immediately to IOM to book concession tickets (up to 40% discount)
16. With money (assumed) already saved, pay for your airfare
17. Sell EVERYTHING and change 99% to USD
20. Resign and say goodbye to Naija. Shed no tears. (It will be a while before you see this wonderful land again)
21. Welcome to Sydney. Your new life starts

@phlunter01,

Ozy is right. I didn't use a birth certificate when I applied. I only uploaded the data page of my passport as evidence of age.

@Rooneyboy,

You can appeal by addressing whatever they raised in the negative outcome and if you have any, provide additional documents. Yes, you can rewrite the job descriptions.

Thank you very much Bro

Good afternoon everyone. Awesome thread and people on this thread.

I bumped into this thread about three weeks ago while searching for Australian immigration and have read over 80%. May God bless @belong for this thread and all those that have been selflessly supporting applicants.

Planning to send assessment to EA by the end of the month (my husband actually) hes the proncipal applicant. but I just want us to do it right as we have had a negative assessment beginning of this year due to a lot of ignorance.

My husband is a graduate of civil engineering with a masters in construction project management from a uk university. He practiced for a few years in the uk doing core civil engineering.

He's been working in naija since 2011 but in marketing and sales. So the first assessment was ignorantly sent. And a negative result because work experience and uni certificates didn't match.

From reading this thread religiously, I was able to tell where we made the initial mistake. Now here's our situation now and I would humbly like reviews and suggestions on how to do it right.

We both have ielts which was written last year for canadian immigration. Both got 8 across band and have the full 20 marks. My husband is the principal applicant. I'm a graduate of estate management but I practiced only for a few years before I went into personal assistant for about 5 years. But I'm now a fashion designer with a registered company.

My husband is writing his cdr and is almost through. All the grants and ITA making me nervous and excited at the same time. He has over 10 years experience but the last 6 was not in civil engineering. But he has a personal company that does core engineering (registered and paying tax accordingly) so he's writing his CDR with his uk experience and his personal company projects so as to bag the maximum experience of at least 10 years.

We're not so young (covers face) husband is 43 and i'm 38 so not much in points for the age band.

Can you people please take time from your busy schedules to help give advice on how to make this assessment positive.

I'm very sorry about my long write up. It's just the wish and excitement of hoping I'd one day give my own testimony about our grants.

Thank you

Good day fellaz, have a quick one for the engineers that have positively assessed by writing one or 2 episodes based on work experience. Now if I write an episode based on work experience I understand that I need to show proof of employment even though I'm not assessing my experience. So my question, will evidence docs be less demanding or its still gonna be de whole package required for employment assessment? I have got just employment/resignation letters, 10months bank statement, but full pension statement at hand. (No payslip or tax card. Left before the company filed for tax clearance for the staff members)

NB. Employment was for 1yr 11months and I was paid with coys check leaves throughout my first year due to circumstances beyond my control.

Thanks your Royal Highness for pulling this out...

@Bellong: Could you please add this to the first few pages of the thread for easy reference?
I must confess, reading through 15 pages lately hasn't been fun, but the thirst for information motivates one to go through every bit so as not to miss any vital information. But I think we can start identifying 5STAR helpful posts and taking them to the FRONT page for easy reference.

He nominated project management. Assessed with VETASSES. But because he didn't have any project management experience in the last 5 years it came back negative.

Thank you! Thankfully, I still have a whole year to be 38.

Thank God for the scores. Though we're still wondering if it's cost effective or advise able for me to assess to either with my degree or my diverted profession.

I pmed you.

I studied estate management too, assessed as a valuer and got a positive assessment. Since you are younger than Oga, I would advise you become the principal.

What I am not sure of is if the change of job role will affect your chances of getting a positive assessment. The Gurus will advise you better on that.
