I spoke to few solicitors, they said I can't adopt her. Yes, her name is on the application when I applied for my wife spouse visa in Nigeria.

How did you originally get to the UK?

Your immigration history to the UK looks complicated, and a straight forward approach would not necessarily suffice.....

You seemed to bombard them with all sorts of application process, which they deemed frivolous.....

What was your original route to the uk, in your spousal visa application, did you declare all, or economical with the truth?

True not necessary like oga lexus said i wanted to change my maiden name to my hubby name when they told me the long process it might take up to almost 3months and I have to go to abuja to do biometric I just left it you wrote you want to apply month end its fine .

In ur application just write that when you get to the uk you will do a change of passport since the process is long in nigeria that will take time that was what I wrote
Best of luck all new applicants follow all instructions here .

not necessary, i (husband) applied with my wife still using her maiden name, wife still uses maiden name on all official documents. dont worry yourself about name change. As long as names are correct on marriage certificates etc. who name change 'epp?

I think your best route is to contact a good immigration lawyer. Might be difficult to fight this without proper legal representation.......

Appeal takes a long time......trust me I'm still in it and yes I got the mp involved. But if you're still in the country then you have a leverage cos you can still be able to work. Good luck

You might meet the financial requirements, but the issue is your chequered immigration history in the UK.

They would eventually issue the visa, but you need to put in some leg work.

They decided right to family life cannot be denied, so they need to look inwards.......

With my experience with some barristers, they are just after their own pocket. Not all will be objective in their assessment of the situation. It is sad that they refused you after all the effort you put in. Reading through your refusal notice carefully, you will realise that is a combination of different factors that led to your refusal. Even though your wife met the financial requirement, not adhering to the 28day rule the eco will presume that your wife may not still be in that employment as at when the application was made. The goes for the bank statement, they will just assume that the bank statement did not reflect your current situation.
Also your immigration history didn't help matter as well. It would have been nice if you explained in the additional info box how you got to the UK at age 13, given that you were young and did not really know which visa your father used. In my experience in visa application I have found out that the HO is looking for reason not to give visa. So often, more is better than less.
In all one thing stands out, if you are genuinely married to your wife they cannot deny you been with her. Article 8 guarantee that. As someone already mentioned, is not going to be easy but it is possible to get the visa. Just looking for a good lawyer that will be objective not one that will tell you what you need to hear. Either you make fresh application or appeal, try to address all the concerns stated in the refusal notice. And please which ever way you decide to move forward, don't use that barrister that to,do you what they wrote was nonsense. In my humble opinion I don't think he is a good barrister.

How did i mess up alot of things. It's not like i did intentionally. Am mainly trying to sort things out for a better future. As a kid my step mum took no step to help me. I had to start doing it when I realise how things should be. I leave all to God

I don't think it would play any part, in terms of time sensitivity.......
But you might see baby on the 1st or 2nd birthday (depending on how quickly things begin to click).

In essence, don't give yourself HBP. Chill, relax and enjoy our Nigerian hospitality...........

Your wife being pregnant will not speed up the appeal neither will it affect the decision. The only thing that will help u is when she put to bed then, your right of family will come into place.

Your best way to achieve this is to pick a recent applicant, send them a PM and seek samples......

Alternatively, read through thread. I am sure a sample would have been posted.....

Do yourself a personal favour and read through thread..........
