Same happened with my baby, i didnt use anything and it just cleared on its own. But at that time i was using shea butter to moisturize his body so i cant really tell if that was what made it go, afterwhich my baby's real complexion came out. I guess it's normal.
Tnx ma

RANT!!

So it's been one hell of a week and the last incident this morning just makes me want to sit down and have a good cry. So last week Tuesday, I got a mail to come to Benin for a bid presentation for a contract I applied for in April. The mail came in two days before so I really did not have time to make any arrangements for my baby. My mom and sister travelled to the village for something so nowhere to drop my baby. Had to take her along. The presentation was on Friday, got there on Thursday. You know how it is when you have a 2months old baby with you. I couldn't study my materials as well as I would have loved. I did not even have anyone to hold her for me when I went in to do my presentations. Had to beg one woman who came with her husband to please hold her for me. One Saturday after we were done with courses, the lady called and said my baby has stooped 3times in 5hours. I could not imagine what could be the cause of it. By midnight, it has increased to 6. On Sunday I got ORS and zinc tablets for her but by Sunday night, I knew there was no way I could manage this. Monday morning I asked the management if they could let me off for the remaining days (it was supposed to last for one week) and that i would continue my bid/presentation with the next batch. They said Ok and I left with my baby to Lagos on Monday. Imagine my surprise when i got a mail from the company on Tuesday saying I had been disqualified from the bid process because they did not think I had the focus or determination required. It pained me to be honest because I had expended a lot of money doing samples of the product they wanted. I had also spent a lot on research, not to talk about the time I had spent on everything. I was so hopeful I would at least win one of the bids. They said i lacked focus, I don't know if they wanted me to focus on them and ignore my sick baby. I sha cried and everyone told me something better would come along.
Yesterday, a 15yr old girl was sent to me from my MIL to help out with chores and baby as I would soon be resuming work. Decided to take her for routine tests, turns out she is pregnant. I ordered for A scan. She is 9weeks pregnant. I just became weak.
Opened my mail this morning and I got a mail to come in for a chat tomorrow Friday in a firm I applied to in July. The girl that was brought is supposed to go back tomorrow with the person that brought her so now I cannot even say let her watch baby for my for one day. If I decide to email the firm and ask them to reschedule, would they not think I'm unserious? Can i take my baby to the interview and hopefully I will find someone that will hold her for me while I go in for my interview? What if the interview takes longer than I anticipated and then my baby starts to disturb, what will I Do? I'm so confused and annoyed right now cry cry cry

Its well with u dear. Pls don't cry anymore.just see ur babies health challenge on that day as a big deliverance from something horrible that would have happened if u took up that contract. seeing the good in every seemly bad situation will make u happy.

Pls put ur baby in a creche and go for ur interview. Don't worry all will be well.

Please who has ever taken a tough professional exam while having a baby to take care of. How did you do it. I wanted to take it while pregnant cuz I was strong and I felt I could do it but everyone discouraged me cuz of my 'condition' and I regret listening to them. Now that I've had the baby I can't even think of how it would work. I can't stay back in the office and study cuz of the baby, neither can I imagine waking up at night to read cuz I'm not even catching enough sleep as it. It's bad enough that I'd have to sacrifice my weekends for lectures. How do you people do it biko. I don't want to fail. And I don't want to have to wait until baby is older.

Secondly, my baby would be five months by next week, can I start experimenting with all the purees and baby okro you people have been sharing or is that for after 6 months.

Thirdly how do you purée food in a blender when the blender is obviously not sterile abi do you boil it after blending cuz my own blender has some hard to reach parts and can't be dismantled for more thorough washing. It looks clean to the naked eyes but... Abi can I pour boiling water in the blender and cover for a while before use. Won't that affect the blades.

My dear pre- pregnancy and pregnancy( if u are strong enough) days are the easiest to do any major thing.
But with determination u can write it and pass with fly colours.

I think you can start giving purees like banana, apple from 4months.

I usually pour boiling water and add liitle salt then allow it sit for 10mins before I use it. But now I have a special blender for it now.

I have a professional exam to write too, postponed it last year cos i got pregnant. Now it's tougher thinking about it...I've made up my mind to write it next year.

U can start trying fruit purees. Leave okro soup and major meals till when she is 6 months proper.

I had to buy a new blender so that all d atarodo from the old blender will not contaminate her food. the new blender is strictly for baby food. I wash and dry properly after use, and the rinse with hot water and salt for like 5 mins b4 I use it.

1. See just postpone. I postponed my MBA cos of belle, I've postponed it again cos I can't imagine doing it with the one I'm doing now. My boss told me a woman loses 2 years of her career for every child and no be lie. This is why I was so serious about FP. I must finish my MBA before the next one
2. Well, I gave cerelac from 5.5 months and single fruit/veggie purees. Wait till 6 months before you do okro
3. Bought another blender for baby that I also use for my smoothies. Mostly cos of pepper like Enque said

Writing professional courses when you are single It's not easy not to talk of with children. I am trying despite I doze off anytime I open the book sad I regretted stopping the class while preggy. I told myself I will do it after I give birth. Now it's so stressful am not even attending class na my room bi my class now. I won't postpone it again. You've to be determined! You can do it. Have seen lots of women with even more than one kid doing it and get good result.
You need a more matured help(someone you know, a relation maybe) that can take care of baby while you read at home and also go along with you to class.

Why not get a blender for blending her food instead of using the general one in the house.

@spiceamiee, don't give your baby to stranger to hold even for a second.
You either put your baby in a creche and pay for a day or you tell one of your relation to go with you for the interview so she can hold the baby during the int. Am sure it wont take hours.

yeah I'd get a different blender. I might even still have another blender from wedding gifts, I'd check when I get home.

I don't think I'd postpone again too. Considering the way I regret postponing while pregnant. Plus my Fp method is whack so I might even get knocked up again while waiting for this one to grow up cheesy @hunniesuzzie. The exam is actually for next year and my baby would be almost a year old then, atleast I'd have weaned her by then so it might not be too hard
