Togolese forces are sweeping numerous parts of Lome, the capital, after reports emerged that IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was found hiding in an unmarked building allegedly used by women of loose morals. The ongoing search for the fleeing IPOB leader is expected to continue until he is found and arrested, according to Togolese authorities, who have re-assured Abuja that everything is being done to fish out the rebel leader from wherever he may be hiding. Several Togolese prostitutes have allegedly been arrested in connection with the search, and are currently facing interrogation with regard to the whereabouts of the man known to his semi-literate followers as the 'Dilector'.

There are also conflicting reports that Kanu may have dressed up as a 'lady of the night' to evade the Togolese authorities prior to their arrival in the said building. A pair of broken high heels was found near the unmarked building according to police.
