I am writing this with anger. This is my second time of witnessing this bad experience with 'Ezenwata motors'.
This is my story.
Last week Wednesday, I decided to travel down to North with Night bus from Lagos. I bought my ticket, #8500 and the journey kicked off around 5 p.m from Yaba part of Lagos to North. We got to 'owo' part of Ondo around 12 a.m and the car developed a fault. No information from the driver, no apology, nothing to make us feel better and we all slept on the road till 6 a.m before we discovered that the driver was nowhere to be found. Out of anger, all the passengers started calling the 'contacts' on the ticket and they informed us that they will 'soon' send a mechanic from Lagos to fix the Bus. Let me also add that the three Ezenwata motors that left for North that day were all the road with one problem or the other.
It was later we got to know that the mechanic they were planning to 'soon' send will come with the next night bus that will take off by 6 p.m from Lagos that day whereas it was just 8 a.m.

Out of anger, most passengers left with another option to get to their destination with no refund (who will even refund us? The driver we don't know his whereabouts?). I personally had no choice than to find my way to Abuja (the drivers when they noticed that no other option for us, they increased the transportation fare from #2000 to #4000) and from Abuja to my destination because there was something important I needed to do. Before I left, I collected a fellow passenger's contact to know what will happen at the end.

The passengers which don't have cash and other means to get to their destinations had no choice than to wait for the mechanic which came around 11 p m that day, used hours to fix the bus and they later moved on Thursday morning and get to North on Friday. Can you imagine? The journey took 2days, since Wednesday.

One thing I noticed about this luxurious buses is that they don't care, they don't refund and they definitely know passengers will find their ways once the bus breaks down. Imagine paying #8,500 to Ondo state cry undecided. They need to do something about their Buses, and in case a Bus breaks down, there should be another option for their passengers and also their safety.
I can relate bro...Been in such mess before with Ezenwata, Young, Ifeanyichukwu, Gobison. It can be painful shaaaa

I just need to comment because myself and brother have been a victim of these night "luxurious" buses.....these are the list of transport companies to avoid
1. Young shall grow
2. Bonny ways
3. GUO
4. God bless ezenwata
5. anything night luxurious buses operated by our brothers from the east

NB: it is more advisable to take small bus to a nearby state to break your journey
peace out

I've done same adventure from lagos to Abuja and back.

First, the road to Abuja is too bad.

Secondly, non of the luxury buses on these road is good. Don't be deceived. ALL OF THEM ARE FAULTY. maybe chisco will have better buses. The rest are crap. I mean All.

For me, if you want to make sure journey on these roads, use a sharp small bus.

Ezewanta is very worst, I feel your pain bro. I have encountered such on different occasions..... GUO is still better among them. There management is better, cos there was a day I traveled with them, from Kano to Lagos.... And the bus broke down, the driver was very nervous, and called Kano to send another bus, and the bus came.... So GUO is better from my experience.

the issue here is that the luxury buses on the road are all old, and in need of being dumped.

I have traveled with almost all of these night buses, and sincerely, they are very frightening. one thing to be sure of is this: they will break down three hours into the journey, and there will be no refund.

Never travel without extra cash on a night bus, have a nokia torch handy and most of all, be prayerful. It's a bus service primart for businessmen, and a lot of them are willing to wait days for the bus to be fixed because of their heavy bags.

God bless Ezenwata is the worst transport company in Nigeria. Few yrs ago, I wanted to travel from onitsha to Jos, the car broke down right inside their park at upper iweka and they refused to give us another bus. Most of us slept in the bus and I had to go take those mikel shuttle because they said we would have to wait for the car to get fixed! Inside the park in onitsha o!!!!

Bros stop typing what you know nothing about. All terminals have routes they cover and there are good buses that ply each routes. Stop acting like an insider while miss-informing people.

You also said only YSG buy new Irizar bus, please stop it, all these major transport companies purchase their bus brand new be it G7, Irizar or chinco.

Nonsense.

OP sorry you had to go through that. I have seen people say try company A or B, the truth is that they are all the same, you were just unlucky. Let me state a few points here;

1. The major problem with these companies is they are managed by mostly uneducated people and the few educated don't make enough effort to make things work better. I can remember when the son of Young shall grow tried to rebrand and reposition things, he even brought Tuface Idiba as an ambassador, at the end, same story.

2. Every company has a route where they have their customer base and they do better there.

Also in some routes there are dedicated buses for traders, if you are fortunate to join those ones, good for you.

3. The condition of roads in this country is not helping matters at all.

4. Due to the economic situation no company (as far as I know) have purchased new buses (excluding these chinco) in the last one year, so there are buses they ought to remove from their fleet, that are still being managed.

5. The annoying part is that they don't apologize even when you complain online because they don't have any official online presence. You can only get a response from ABC transport, the rest OYO is your case.

Sorry for the long epistle.

never heard of God bless ezenwata bus. they must be new in the business. if its not ifesinachi, okeyson, young shall grow, ekenedilichukwu, God is Good, peace mass transit, then it cant be so trusted. but why will you travel to the north at night? reputable transport companies will hardly disappoint you though. been in ekenedilichukwu luxury bus several times and its only on two occasions that their bus broke down. one of the conductor/driver was a mechanic so they were able to fix the bus without having to wait for one mechanic from far away. the first time their bus broke down was at their park in onitsha and the second time was on an express way around delta, we only waited for 2hours max.
