I would advise you compare prices on those platforms (wakanow & travelstart) with the airline direct (via there website) sometimes, you get it cheaper buy from the website

you can't go beyond the airport premises or the designated area provided by the airport authority because you don't have a visa . Assuming it's a schenghen country, it would have been better.

So, just stay around so you don't miss your connecting flight

Yes, you will need a Canadian visa for transit.

If you're flying with a Nigerian passport you will need a Canadian visa to transits through Canadian airport unless you have a U.S passport,European passport and few countries in Asia.

IF YOU ARE A NIGERIAN, AND YOUR FLIGHT WILL STOP AT CANADA BEFORE GOING TO YOUR FINAL DESTINATION, YOU WILL NEED A TRANSIT VISA, WHICH IS FREE BUT YOU GO THROUGH THE SAME PROCESS AS A TRV.

if you decide to go for another program for November?.. I don't really understand that line..

Do you mean postponing your trip?.
Donaltus

if yes, No problem but make sure your reasons for postponing the initial plan is reasonably genuine. You may state the reason at the point of entry undecided

This mostly likely a lie. You were not going for the program and you only wanted to boost your chances of getting a US Visa. Now, how do you tackle this mindset a CBP officer might have, of you? do you have documented evidence for not going for that program, for example an official letter. If you don't, you might find yourself back on the next flight to Nigeria. Be safe.

Part 2 of the things, I have observed on this forum:

1. Most Nigerian applicants don't know lying is a sin, in all situations. (the god of Nigeria is a flexible god)
2. Everybody initially planned to go for a conference, but now they wish to go for a vacation.
3. Nigerian agents point guns at the head of Nigerian applicants and force them to lie on their forms (sarcastic remark, abi is it Irony?)
4. Most Nigerian applicants don't do research, they are entitled to your answers and if they don't like them, their fangs come out unless you are the VO, then they become humble.
5. You ask us for your chances, we say you don't have a chance, then you say we are not God, so why ask us in the first place?
6. NO DOCUMENTS WILL BE CHECKED OUTSIDE OF YOUR PASSPORT, RECEIPT AND CONFIRMATION PAGE. Someone will still ask if documents will be checked, who will like to bet?
7. Most Nigerian applicants still don't know a VISA is a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT. Its like toasting a babe, take her to Transcorp hilton, she might not give you visa but if I take her to Mama Put, I might get the visa (its an analogy biko), you maybe the poster-boy for 'strong ties' but finally its the VO's decision.
8. If you know what you are doing is wrong, it is wrong. If you don't feel comfortable with it, then don't do it. Coming to us for validation of your wrong deed, won't make it any better.
9. The first step to restoring credibility, is coming clean without expecting to be issued a visa.
10. Nigeria is a great country, if only we make it so. A lot of African countries have little or no stress in being issued Visas, because their people don't abuse the system. A crocodile in Nigeria, does not become an alligator in the US.

You spoke my mind, when he asked the question, I didn't want to say anything, so it won't be like arm biased, you got the visa and then changed the intention, that's bad.. .if your enemy is turned back now at POE, you will say "your village people are after you abi "

Hello my fellow nairalanders, is it advisable to still visit orlando florida for vacation cos of the natural disaster going on? We will be going there by november or should we just have change of plan to visit other tourist states in the US, hope there won't be an issue at the POE?

Hello peep,
How una dey? I really find reading your comments here interesting, please ooo, I just want to ask something. All is set for I and my wife to travel to US for the second time this year, but this time we are going to Chicago, so I want to ask if we will have any issues @ the POE since it's not our first time in US, cos I heard Chicago POE are strict?

Depending on where you want to visit... Call the tourist site and hotel to confirm if it's possible for you to visit in November.
