Next year is great. You can spread the reading and pace yourself. All the best

Giddyperson:
yeah I'd get a different blender. I might even still have another blender from wedding gifts, I'd check when I get home.

I don't think I'd postpone again too. Considering the way I regret postponing while pregnant. Plus my Fp method is whack so I might even get knocked up again while waiting for this one to grow up cheesy @hunniesuzzie. The exam is actually for next year and my baby would be almost a year old then, atleast I'd have weaned her by then so it might not be too hard

U see yasef grin anyways, since it's for nextyear start reading when you have time even if it's 2pages a day so it won't be so jammed up by then. That's what I do sometimes cos mine is very early nextyear. The Lord is our strength!

Lucky you for getting the blender as wedding gift. I got things as if am a caterer (big coolers, very big pots cry so much cups, gas, too many elect kettle etc) e tire me! When will I use all that. I just left dem in my mom's place je je and carried only baby stuffs. No better kitchen utensils. undecided

Please who has ever taken a tough professional exam while having a baby to take care of. How did you do it. I wanted to take it while pregnant cuz I was strong and I felt I could do it but everyone discouraged me cuz of my 'condition' and I regret listening to them. Now that I've had the baby I can't even think of how it would work. I can't stay back in the office and study cuz of the baby, neither can I imagine waking up at night to read cuz I'm not even catching enough sleep as it. It's bad enough that I'd have to sacrifice my weekends for lectures. How do you people do it biko. I don't want to fail. And I don't want to have to wait until baby is older.

Secondly, my baby would be five months by next week, can I start experimenting with all the purees and baby okro you people have been sharing or is that for after 6 months.

Thirdly how do you purée food in a blender when the blender is obviously not sterile abi do you boil it after blending cuz my own blender has some hard to reach parts and can't be dismantled for more thorough washing. It looks clean to the naked eyes but... Abi can I pour boiling water in the blender and cover for a while before use. Won't that affect the blades.

I did and i came out successful. I had my 2nd baby in May and had my part1 prof exam by Nov that yr. I introduced food by 5months dats in oct. By oct ending he was gulping pap and cerelac well. i started reading actively by september.
Things i did.
1. I usually use creche for my children so i use to stay back after work from 2pm to 5pm reading at least 2 to 3 times weekly.
2. The days i didnt read in d office, i sleep early and wake up by 1am and read even while breastfeeding. Usually i didnt like this night reading but i was determined not to fail cos alot of money was involved.
3. On sundays, immediately after church by 10am, i leave my baby with my help and husband, off to one of d lecture theaters in a uni close to me. I usually read for 3hours and come back.
4. Towards the exam period, i did alot of discussion class and it helped.
Dear, it isnt easy but you can pull it off, just be determined ok. Success will be yours in Jesus name.

There's a mama that asked about combing baby's hair. Can't remember your moniker and I was lazy to type that day. I want to share a tip and I hope you get to read this.
Get a spray bottle, add some water and oil (coconut, olive, castor). You can use one or combination of oil. Anytime you need to comb the hair, spray the mixture, detangle with your hand and comb. It's a lot easier that way. However, there are ready made detangler, if you prefer to buy.

Depends on what you want to buy.
If it's babies clothes, download the app
If it's diapers, use the link the other mama gave you

Please oo.
My son just turned one and I stopped breastfeeding when he did. He was already eating table foods before he turned one so it was no trouble weaning him. I started him on Nido Kinder so he can get his milk but I just remembered moms here discussing about how Full Cream Milk is better than Instant Filled Milk.

Trouble is, all the brands noted here (Loya et all) are not sold here. Please does anybody know of any full cream milk I can buy in the US? sad

there's this palm oil and sugar treatment. Experienced mamas will provide more info. I think the baby can, just ensure its not too sweet-a-biscuit

Stores like target and walmart stock a variety of full cream milk like nature's first, kerrygold and even Nido. Even better, you can try Enfamil toddler milk or similac go and grow.

That's why I said it depends on what you want to buy.
Persil in Nigeria is expensive! I got it cheaper on mfa
Diapers are cheap
Wipes are cheap
Some soaps and creams are cheap
Shampoo is cheap
Baby conditioner is cheaper.

Again, it depends on what you want and you have to have an idea of price in your area before you can comfortably shop

If you're shopping on the app for baby clothes, checking out clearance sales is always best as you'll get cheap items there. Also you're sure of quality

Buy the fresh liquid milk, not powdered. It would usually come in full, semi skimmed and skimmed options in the fridge section.

That is your best bet,

Just pour in bottle and pop into a cupof hot water to heat up.

I'm giving him Nido Kinder right now, got it from Costco. I'll try the fresh milk AlphaHandMaiden suggested today and see how it goes. Thanks a lot!

Thanks so much. I'll try that today when I get home.

Yeah clearance sales for clothes but the shipping fare is usually very annoying.
