I guess this is your first postume..

Don't worry, you don't need to reprint anything. You didn't tamper with your details, you only tampered with your mobile data..

Those fallback institutions are just schools affiliated to ui, ui will give you admission after completing a certain program in any of those schools

But I don't have any idea if your new choice will be noted..

Be calm and merry
thanks you sir.....pls do u have an idea of when they will start giving out date/time for post utme exam??

From jamb's sensitization meeting today. I seems Jamb score must take a quota from whatever cutoff any university is setting. Maybe the post-utme quota on admission will be 50% or less. This is all I can infer from the proposed C.A.P.S. for now.

JAMB CAPS SENSITIZATION PROG.........
#copied#
*CAPS came to replace the manual process of admitting
student. This would also prevent Under the table
admission.
*The O'Level result submitted will be verified before you
are given admission.
* There should be a market place where institutions can
demand for candidates who either choosed or didn't choosed them in the UTME
examination.
* Candidates can also announce his /her presence in the
market place for interested institutions *Institution can decide weight given to jamb score, the Jamb
score must be 50% consideration in their admission requirement......
* Most of the institutions do not fill their admission quota every
year because they don't know there are candidates they can still admit.
* The CAPS system is secured, we assure you, if you
succeed in breaking it, you either met yourself in EFCC or ICPC box. AbuUbayy ; Candidates can accept or reject an offer of consideration which
is different from offer of admission. AbuUbayy ; Once you have accepted an Admission, that's all. it has
become a permanent marriage.
*Prof Oloyede said; Duration of accepting Admission from
jamb is 3 days, once you accept the admission you can't reject it, Candidates will
also have Access to the CAPS with your JAMB
registration Number.
* Institutions also have criteria they use like States, Gender,
e.t.c.
* All the admission process will be automated, once your
schools sets their criteria on the system, anything out of it will be rejected by
the System "Caps" website for Candidates to Access cap is; Www.jamb.gov.ng

If Postume will be the only yardstick for cutoff determination, you're free to.

But are you doing the change of course before the examination?? That's when it will make sense.
Doing it from Jamb.

UI change of course after postume is for those that didn't make up to the cutoffs for their chosen course, which affords them the chance to be admitted to other departments.
Thanks bro, I was told that it's impossible to change one's course after registration, I don't know how true that is.

Bobola 07:
The school is yet to explicitly answer that.
What we know so far is that we will write postume exam
and that a minimum of 200 in UTME qualifies you to write
the exam.
It's after the exam we'll know the system they are going
to use.
That's like sitting for the exam all over, why write UTME in the first place when it's actually the postUTME that will determine admission? Also, don't you think admission may not be based solely on the post UTME score anymore with the CAPS they just introduced?

From my own observations, I even think O'level grades will also have a percentage in the total admission score.

I don't think so.... If jamb takes at least 50,,So putme and o'level will split 50..I don't think so.... O'level scores was not emphasized as much as utme and putme.

Generally most schools use Utme and putme scores to input aggregates. I think UI is only one of the few exception but might follow suit this year because jamb stated that jamb score must be 50 percent...Nobody knows what will happen though.. But based on my understanding,O level is meant for qualification and not ranking.

Did you register for the post-UTME? If you did, you would by now have seen the sample questions. And the subjects you did in JAMB will be the ones the questions would be based.

Thanks bro. Basically, SSCE qualifies candidates for admission, UTME ranks the students according to their performance, the school sets the admission quota, and candidates are filled in according to their rank in the UTME exam, why write post UTME then? Since SSCE has certified the candidate qualified, and the UTME has ranked the candidate. Of what use is the post UTME then? OK, I understand that schools like UI do it to separate the wheat from the chaff as it seems they don't trust the UTME results, but is it necessary?
