You grad from university and someone now advise you to go back to polythenic and get practical knowledge. Ask yourself does it make sense ?

It's either IELTS or TOEFL; there really is no preference. IELTS/TOEFL do not you points in the admissions decision. It just simply tells the adcom that you are proficient in the language.

One other thing I forgot to mention earlier is to not include your IT (SIWES Industrial training) in your GPA calculation. Due to its heavy units (as high as 10 units in some universities), WES does not include it in their GPA calculation. So if you did, take it out and recalculate again.

PS: to others evaluating their transcripts themselves, please exclude your IT/SIWES from your GPA calculation. WES does not include it in their official evaluation, so that you get an accurate GPA after calculation.

Thank you @bigfrancis IT was'nt included but final yr project was included

Your idea makes more sense than the "advice" you got. This is like having a high school certificate and going back to elementary school to gain more practical knowledge of the abacus.

I think you should do some more research. I have gone through the admission requirements in some schools and have seen it clearly stated that they don't accept IELTS. I can't remember their names at the moment.

Babe no worries...you jst have to decide on what you want..if you want schools without Gre or Gmat...it's you decision. You can still get funding when you do well at school..if you don't have enof now but still want to study abroad..then go for schools without these exams GRE GMAT IELTS. it's economical that way..then save up or study hard in your first year to get a high GPA to qualify for funding...Am sure if one could get a high gpa in Nigeria the person can do even bettet abroad. with or without these exams you can get visa and admission.

PM me if you are still interested

chaiks:
please whats the name of your school.I I'll be writing ielts shortly and have a higher GPA close to first class.I want to see if GRE can be waived for me for funding consideration.

We'll not only explore the situation but also would sue the entity called "immigration" to teach others some lessons and in return make a staggering amount of money. cheesy cheesy

There are cameras at the airport. I would also snap you unknowingly. cheesy cheesy

hummmmmm anyone can give advice or write anything here but how true is that statement. .....

Experience or proper research should be your guide . others who are have been or are currently studying have adviced that taking the GRE is needed if you need funding. it not how far but how well. There no short cut to proper success

But they waived the English test for nigerians, so the test is of no need. Almost all US waive the toefl test for nigerians
