Hello Great people of NL.. please i need help for my cousin. He as been granted admission and his on the stage of i20. He submitted his Dad's bank statement with reference letter from the bank but the school emailed him yesterday saying they need a CERTIFIED financial documentation from the bank sent directly to the school before they can issue his i20. We are all confuse about these because reference letter from the bank was also attached to the statement.  Please if you have an idea of what that document is all about please kindly help out. Is the SOA you submited stamped? If no, you need a stamped one and if yes, you need to contact the admission office and ask them what they realy want.

No. the dad should just give instructions to his account officer or the customer care attending to him, asking that his account statements be sent to admissions@xxxxx.edu...something like this. The school does not really care about stamps or signatures because it can easily be forged.

Getting the statements from an address like: xxxxx@gtbank.com or xxxxx@accessbank.com inspires a whole lot more confidence than empty stamps.

The dad should either go to his bank and request that an account officer send a mail directly to the school...All they want to see is an email address with the bank's domain. Probably they suspected the bank statement to be fake. He can also send a mail thru the bank's contact centre requesting that they send the mail and having him in the copy. Some banks do that with a duly signed handwritten instruction from the account holder authorizing them to do so.

then work on your reading and diction for the speaking section.
GRE experience wolud help.
Try to choose a quiet center with few people if possible.

Sorry for this denial. There are too many flaws on your responses. No VO would have issued you visa yesterday.

You really have to be truthful next time, otherwise you will be denied visa again. I'm sorry. I don't mean to hurt your feelings but this is obviously true.

..yes but it shouldn't be abused!, you switch when its absolutely necessary and not premeditated as you have advised him.

We should not deliberately encourage people to use one school to get a visa and dumped after getting a visa.

Lets not complain when some schools implement some tougher requirements for Nigerians

I am a novice oo but going through the transcript, I can bring out some loop holes....firstly... You said you own a house but you stay in a rented apartment (I felt you should have just stopped at *yes you own a house*) .... Secondly.. You were asked what you have been doing since you graduated.. You said you moved from one company to another and you were further asked who owns the company..then You said you are a share holder and it's apparently yours ( I felt this actually messed everything up) ... I think those two are enough to earn a denial
