The military is battling two groups
One in the madara sambisa axis
Other in Northen Borno lake Chad axis

The groups do not move or engage the military like they did before but target vulnerable convoys and patrol teams .

In the lake Chad area the islands , some of which are Chadian served as hideouts so also the huge mountainous terrain linking Nigeria n CMR ,.
It will take years of both regional military ops and socioeconomic development to degrade the threat

not only air interdiction involving bombing but deploying heliborne assault force to conduct raids behind enemy lines hideout and stopping civilians convoys to conduct search of weapons,enemy combatant,bomb making materials e.t.c this is basically what the americans did in Afghanistan when the taliban hindered the american's movement by planting IED's
