If I have problem with my car, I first google it out before taking it to a mechanic, to be sure he knows what to do. This strategy helps me a lot in cutting cost. Because I know what to expect. You can not charge me for HIV treatment when I know my ailment supposed to be malaria.

Naxo smart way bro

But hope you dont give your mechanic headache sha.. like what are you loosing there, han han, why are you hitting it like that, it will break o grin

I leave your kind with my big yanshed secretary tongue .

If you have been patronizing Mechs that you dont trust enough with you car, it is time to change em

Madam, you are about to knock the engine before your hubby return.

@Op, i think at times too, in Manual transmissions, if u dnt balance ur Clutch with the trottle , it can also be jerking as u are accelerating. Pop Man complains a lot abt it when i am behind wheels and it gets me seriously angry.. E be like say na hin Car get ishh!! lol
I think we now av more things to Check now dan d "u no sabi drive of a tin". D tin dey vex me

I dont get the bolded. Does this happen when he drives too? the jerking part. Does the car jerk when he is on wheels too?

Find your car's technical service manual and check that you bought the correct part numbers, this is very crucial.
You must not throw part anyhow at the car without scanning the DTC error codes. If your MIL is flashing then don't drive the car otherwise you can knock your engine.

Thanks but I didn't check 5he part number I'll try and do that.

You are in line to not have ordered yet.

I do not know what you meant by heat box fluid(You mean the transmission fluid?

And the second bolded, u meant the brain box?

One thing is sure, your car will be fine smiley, it is a promise.

But in order to help out, i would need some infos and history about the car.

1) You said it is a toyota camry, big daddy. What year

2) Before you changed the plugs and the bad ignition coils, what was the problem. Was it that the engine is not stable when it idles(when not in motion)

3) You said this problem started two days after the plug and ignition change (It is pointless asking if you got your old plugs and bad ignition coils back,. the info will help though)

4) How does this car really behaves, when you idle it (on the ignition and let it just steam) is it stable?

5) The 3rd gear part you talked about, does it hit, like the engine wants to leave its compartment when trying to change gear?

6) In the process of trying to fix this problem, have you changed mechanics(Kazeems), Was it the same guy that changed your plugs that's still on on fixing the car?

PS... I know how it feels to just have that ride that's without hassles just turn evil over night. Relax and get a bottle of Odeku if you drink one. Your car will be fine. Na one small thing dey do am (hopefully your mechanic has not messed things up)

Sorry my bro it's typo

1. It's big daddy 02

2. The engine was very noisy and the exhaust was shooting.

3. I didn't get them back sadly...

4. Yes it is stable when I idle it after I changed the coils and plugs.

5.no it doesn't hit... what it does is that while in motion and about to enter th3 3rd gear it will seize as if the break was matched but no it wasn't I'm actually still accelerating

6. I have changed mechanics the 2nd mechanic said it was the fuel pump or carburetor but it wasn't after thorough checking.

I don tire my brother. Driving the car is annoying now. See ehn the first mechanic tried a diff brain box and the seizing stopped just that that particular brain box was faulty as the way the car was driving wasn't as smooth as my own brain box and that was the only one that worked I was now told to order either from lagos or onitcha but I haven't

with him, nt always.. bt wen i am driving, it does. Bt later if i balance my foot on d pedals like lowering d clutch a bit or mentaining d clutch in dt jerking position den adding more gas it eventually stops. Bt with d post i think dia is more to it.

Pls dont start the car again

The first light is showing that you have low oil pressure. shocked Hope you didnt drive the vehicle home like that.

It is either there's a leakage or the oil sensor is broken. The former will most likely be the case

1. Check the oil level using your oil dipstick.

2. Check under the hood for any leakage, and note where it is leaking

3. You need a mechanic mbok cool , and i hope you've not knocked your engine sad

The second light could be anything, it comes up when there is an engine malfuction. You need to get a scanner to know why it is up.. It is most likely associated to low oil pressure. You cant be too sure until you scan it

Call your most trusted mechanic to help you check. Na small ish do your car. Let me get feedbacks on 1&2

thanks for your response ,the first red light came up before my hubby left for his trip ,he said something about changing the oil pressure or so ,I thought he was just telling me that to stop me from driving the car ,,the second yellow sign was after ran into a big pothole .
called the first mechanic he said I need to change the fuel pump ,tried asking another mechanic maybe he might have the same view as the first but he said it's wiring work ,that he has to rewire the car so I got confuse and decided to leave the car like that until I find a perfect solution , ve checked under the car no leakage at all , checked the bonnet no opening or cut anywhere .. it's a Chrisler car ,most mechanics don't really know how to work on it and my husband doesn't have any mechanic around , he takes the car to ladipo for any repairs or servicing

Good morning bro.

1) You need go to a standard autoshop around you. Sometimes, customers are of the opinion that they charge more, truth is they dont. And you dont need pay for anything, just tell them to check your car. And tell them the history, to the last detail.

2). The problem you described has nothing to do with brain box. More like a low fuel pump pressure. The car drags, like a delay before it enters the 3rd gear. And there is sometimes a pa sound from the exhaust( this is as a result of a cut in fuel supply)

I would want to check fuel pump pressure, clean the filter. and service the nozzles.

Most importantly, if there's a check engine light on, you should do a diagnostic scan. It will point you in the right direction.

Your Chrysler is what year.

You've not told me your oil level after checking the dipstick.

Does the light (ever go off in motion). Dont drive and test o. Just wanted to know if it is always on. Either in motion or idling.

For the check engine light, you need to scan it. If you bumped any sensor under the hood, u will know from the error codes.

You actually did right by seeking a second opinion.

What exactly does the other mechanic want to rewire. Told you?

You should take that wagon to a mechanic.

When did you start noticing this, has this been happening for a while or just lately.

When you drive other manual transmission. Do you experience this same scenario. if you do, then your driving is culprit, if not, It is time to visit your mechanic.

When you idle, is the engine stable or it vibrates?

Thanks. my mechanic have checked the pressure of the pump and said it's ok. I think I just need a standard mechanic workshop to check the car properly but the thing is I don't know of any here in benin.

Did you change the engine oil u use in servicing your car.

If you didnt, change the rocker arm pressure switch. And use the recommended oil for your accord. The problem should stop

You are changing just this o. not the whole section

Buy a new one, remove the old one to serve as sample, most part dealers don't know which is which embarassed

And dont do over sabi customer tongue , tell your mechanic to source a new one for you , You should trust him enough to do the right thing (he seem like a good guy that is careful not to help you spend your money undecided )

He will get it from stores that deal in Honda Parts

Gracias bro

Good to know boss

Enjoy your ride and change oil often. Every 3000 miles preferably.

When TESLA reach naija, with enough charging stations you can say good byes to IC engines.

Be good boss
