I have asked very simple questions which a supposedly educated folk still can't answer.
Is this compulsion exclusively for Yoruba students or will it be an elective for non yorubas?
Will the rights of other migrants be protected/respected?

A very exciting future awaits when I think what will happen in fifty years . In Arts science mathematic and technology ALL IN YORUBA. I look forward to Engineering in Yoruba one day .
Many of the world classic books can be translated to Yoruba language. I look forward to Achebe's Things Fall Apart in Yoruba. So for me I am excited about the opportunities

We do not envision a future in English. We see the death of English in Lagos and hopefully other Nigerian languages as second languages.

I'm a linguist and can tell you the many implications of doing so. That also supports the idea that the members of the house have little knowledge of what they are doing on that platform.

First of all, French is not Lagos a wholly diverse area in Nigeria.
French is a language of an European country with colonies scattered around Africa and most of the countries surrounding Nigeria are Francophone countries therefore it is imperative that people pick conversational french to facilitate communication in West Africa.
French is one of the official language of Ecowas and a top language in Africa.
How can you compare French an international language with Yoruba a language that is not spoken by all Nigerians.
There is a reason why French and English are official languages because they serve as a formal lingua franca to people with different mother tongues. So why do you think Nigeria didn't make yoruba,hausa or igbo compulsory for all this while?
