There's a difference between an obvious typographical error an incorrectly written or worded statement.

That's the point,in the case of a typographical error it is imperative that the writer indicates EXPLICITLY and possibly offer an apology for the error(which you didn't do) that the intended written or worded statement is a typo error and not just assume that reader(s) should know by default what he/she meant. Simple!

No one's a mind reader.
