Hello, I applied for a visit visa in Lagos and was denied. Can I change my story and apply for a critical skills in Abuja without them detecting? Can I also tell them that I have never been denied without them noticing?

You are not very smart, you make many Nigerians look silly and dump.

@justwise and other guru in the house.

Finally I submitted on last week and I got an SMS to pick my passport this wee.

On getting back there I discovered that I was not issued the visa based on..... "Transaction attached on bank statement lack credibility"

The account in question is my personal account but thinking back i remembered that about 500k was transferred to me by a customer on Friday to make my balance 900k plus. I printed my statement on Monday after I bought goods worth 470k but the lady that attended to me in the bank said that the statement will stop as at Friday.

VFS said I can re-apply within the next 10days.

Kindly advice.

You can print a new bank statement and reapply as advised by VFS. Explain the issue of 500k that was transferred before you made the application.

Hello guys,

Thank you so much for your advice and counsel. I finally got my visa to visit my fiancee... I did this all by myself using tips from this wonderful thread. I believe there shouldn't be a problem getting a visa when you have the right information and genuine documents... and of course with God's help..

Thanks again.

Add a cover letter stating you use the account for business. A sudden deposit of 500k into a personal account doesn't look credible. Abi you be Dasuki.

You can request a letter of introduction from your cooperative society. It will serve as an investment to you in your home country. Unfortunately the 500k cannot be available for your trip. And your 300k balance might not be regarded as sufficient fund for your trip, but you can try.

I applied for study visa on the 9th of October but I have been denied when I picked up my passport today. Reasons being: 1. Insufficient funds 2. Transactions on attached bank statement lack credibility.

According to them, I can reapply within 10 days. I had less than N1m but I have a N1m that was credited yesterday. I used my salary account, almost all the transactions are from my office except for two or so transactions.

I want to reapply. What should I do to increase my chances of being given a visa?

I paid about R58,000 to the school. I want to get a statement or letter from the school indicating this. I don't know if it will help.

First, you should attached the school payment receipt with your new application. You mean you paid that amount to the school and you never got any receipt of payment?

In your introductory letter state why you were denied and that you already made payment to the school attaching the receipt or any proof of payment you have. Also on your new bank statement explains why the huge 1m deposit, they may see it fishy.

Thanks for your response. The acknowledged the payment through an email . I have asked them to send me receipt. The huge N1m came from a cooperative society.

Hello to the gurus here. This will be my very first time of applying for an SA visa. To avert the risk of "documents-choking", I'd like to clarify if South Africa refuses visit visa based on "home ties" like western countries do. If I have my funds and my hotel booking and flight reservation and every other document to clarify my purpose of visit, do I need to attach my property documents? I've read several pages from this thread and it seems they don't refuse based on home ties...It seems that unless you have questionable funds or documents, the visa applications do scale through. But, make I no shoot myself in the leg, I wish to clarify that. Biko, answer.

I just got my visa and I didn't attach any property related documents. Just make sure your introduction letter is convincing and affirm in it that you will be back to Naija before the expiration of the visa. Wish you the best

I applied in Lagos and it came out after 14 days... They didn't call my bank.... I included a bank reference letter though; maybe that's why they didn't

Good afternoon house, I'll be travelling to South Africa soon. I want to know the documents that would be needed at the port of entry. Do I need my cousins rental agreement after having his copy of utility bill and invitation letter? What other documents do I need to tender?.
