Anambra Guber: Your oppression will soon be over, Nwoye tells Igala in Anambra West

All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in Anambra State, Dr. Tony Nwoye has assured the Igala in the state that the time of their total marginalization from the scheme of things in the state would be over should he win the forthcoming governorship election.

Dr. Nwoye spoke during his campaign visit to coastal areas of Anambra West Local Government Area of the state that is partly occupied by indigenous Igala. He met with them at Uzam. Another meeting with other Igala speaking natives is scheduled to hold at Umueze Anam. That meeting was yet to take off as at press time.

Dr. Nwoye who represents the area in the House of Representatives and won the election despite the stern opposition by the APGA governor, Chief Willie Obiano who is also from Anambra East/West Federal Constituency, was during the occasion also commended by the people for his quality representation.

A statement on the visit issued by campaign spokesman, Barrister Nonso Madu quoted representatives of the people as applauding Dr. Nwoye for being the first serious governorship candidate to visit them and for his past representation of their interests in the House of Representatives.

Dr. Nowye who arrived the coastal area using boat said he would wipe away their tears saying that he decided not take them for granted in the way the state government has ignored them.

“I am part of you, I have been your representative and I know what you are passing through. Your own marginalization under Willie Obiano is special because he does not make any pretence about it. For some other people he could lie that he did this or he did that, but for you, he just acts as if you do not exist.

“But I know you exist and as your representative I have done my little in bringing some projects here but I assure you that as governor with executive power, your tears will be totally wiped away,” Nwoye was quoted as promising in the statement issued by his campaign.

Dr. Nwoye’s assurance was welcomed by the people who took turns to appreciate his representation in the House of Representatives praising him for his inclusive policies noting that he is the first person to extend political appointments to the people.

They also noted that he is the first governorship candidate to visit and solicit for their votes.

This is how they bring their useless divide and rule into Anambra politics, the Igalas have been living there for ages and never had any problem with their Igbo neighbours and this one is trying to create one

Sure they have been living there for ages.

But they have been marginalised for ages.

Just like our Igbo brothers and sisters in Southern Benue that occupy a whooping 4 local governments are so marginalised that most of Benue do not even know that there are indigenous Igbos in Benue.

So yes, our next governor Dr Tony Okechukwu Nwoye, will carry all tribes in Anambra along, whether Igala or Igbo!!

Have the Igalas there at Nzam and other parts of Anambra west LGA complained to you about any marginalization before?

Again while the king of grassroots mobiliser, Dr Nwoye is busy campaigning in all nooks and crannies of all communities in Anambra, his competitors are busy trying to buy chiefs and market leaders.

Elections are won among the real people not on pages of nairaland.

There is over sensationalisation of the news. In the first place, almost the whole riverine areas in that vicinity lacked infrastructure. This is regardless of being Igala, Igbo or whatever. There is NO segregation amongst the two tongues even though the Igala speaking villages are very tiny. The town in question has majority Igbo villages. All are suffering the same fate. Their monarch, Igwe James Okolo has aired their plight on many occasions.

Anambra West is majority Igbo-speaking. And even the minority Igalas there all bear Igbo names. Nobody is being marginalised. Despite Igala speakers making up less than 0.0001% of Anambra population, we are still magnanimous to broadcast news in Igala language on state government radio to make them feel part of the state.

You will come back on the 19th and cry rigging....The young man has been busy traversing the nooks and crannies of Anambra State soliciting for votes while you are here mocking him, thinking Jonathan was still the president where votes would have been allocated to Obiano. Wake up, this is Buhari's and APC era, where all the instruments of power (Police, Military, Civil Defence and INEC) will be with Tony Nwoye on the day of the election.

How Njikoka will vote on November 18. Njikoka is made up of 6 Towns; Abagana, Enugwu-Ukwu, Nimo, Nawfia, Enugwu-Agidi and Abba. ABAGANA: Peter Obi did marvellously well for Abagana people during his tenure. Abagana-Ukpo-Abba junction road, Secretariat-Nimo road and Ezi Icheke-Nimo road were constructed by Peter Obi. PDP will win Abagana but Osita Ezenwa, the former SSG won't allow PDP to win 100%. He will deliver his ward to APC. APGA will fail woefully in Abagana. Gov Obiano has done nothing for Abagana people. ENUGWU-UKWU. Chief Nduka Okoye of APC, Barr Valentine Ayika of PDP and Hon Dozie Nwankwo of APGA will battle it in Enugwu-Ukwu. But APC will have the day because Enugwu-Ukwu people have grudges against Gov Obiano for not fulfilling the promises he made to Enugwu-Ukwu and Peter Obi for abandoning some projects in Enugwu- Ukwu. APC will win three wards in Enugwu-Ukwu but Ward 1, which is Hon. Dozie Nwankwo and Barr Valentine Ayika's ward will be a tough game. NIMO: Nimo will vote outrightly for APC because of Sen. Uche Ekwunife. Sen.Ekwunife, when she was in National Assembly, attracted numerous projects for Nimo which include, Nimo-Agukwu road. Though, PDP will have a good outing but APC will win all the four wards. APGA will win only one polling box where Pete Ibida, the current honourable member representing Njikoka 2 constituency will cast his vote. NAWFIA The battle for Nawfia is between APC and PDP. APGA will fail woefully in Nawfia because of the hatred they had for Hon. Ifediora, whom they are accusing of poor representation. The battle for Nawfia is 50-50 between APC and PDP. ENUGWU-AGIDI. The battle for Enugwu-Agidi is also 50-50 between APC and PDP. Enugwu-Agidi will vote against APGA as a revenge for denying them House of Assembly ticket in 2015. APC will win PDP with low margin in Enugwu-Agidi. ABBA. Abba will vote outrightly for APC. Abba people were not happy for losing House of Assembly ticket of APGA. In all calculation, APC will win Njikoka while PDP will come second followed by APGA.

You are super ignorant, tune to Ogene fm station newly opened, it's owned by Uche Ekwunife, from morning to night they are campaigning for Obiano, oh after APC denied his Oga Andy Ubah, you think she will support Tony, Enugu Ukwu town is where APGA deputy came from, Abagana is having serious land dispute with Arthur Eze, they don't want to see Tony's campaign poster in their town talk more of voting for him, they only allowed APGA posters all over their town, Gov Obiano is constructing several roads in Enugu ukwu and Abagana, Abagana also benefited from streetlights being install by Obiano's administration, gov Obiano is building ultra modern hospital in Enugu ukwu, they also benefited from 40 million being given to all towns in Anambra for projects of their choice, Anambrians hate APC and Tony
