I signed up for a gym today, I discovered that I have gained 5kg in the past month because I stopped being consistent with my exercise routine and diet. This I attribute to the stress of trying 2 move from Naija and eating a lot of junk food in my first few days here. I hope to keep an exercise routine so I don't end up wasting my money. These excess burger and sandwich weight must be burnt off!

I know this may be coming late but it might be of help to your weight loss goal: please get apple cider vinegar (ACV) with the mother culture. It helps with weight loss. It's cheaper at your end though.

Please keep the updates with pictures coming; I'm loving them.

This is how a sane society looks like. Everything works! You feel safe moving at night (something I can't even do by certain hours to avoid harassment by the dreaded police and vigilantes). Even tho where I'm in Nigeria seem 'safe').

OP, I can't envy you, rather I'm inspired by you. Sooner or later, I'll do same (tho not the UK). Let my future child(ren) not come and lay curses on daddy for not using opportunities when he had them.

The bolded got me laughing but you do have a point.

One profitable one i can advise you as a worker in a financial institute here in Nigeria, since its investment by proxy is to find a good bank that gives good interest on fixed deposit and you invest in FDs. Place your funds in the ones that are not tax deductible and all you need to do is to go and sleep while your capital grow on a rollover basis.

One of my brothers practically lives on FD. I manage his account, he started with certain amount few years ago but as at now his investment is closed to N100m all this he generated on interest at rollover. What i did was constant monitoring of his FD, as soon as I noticed that interest for certain amount for a particular tenor has been increased, sharply i made him do a termination request and add some money to the existing one then rebook at the new interest rate. Today he gets close to N2m as interest alone monthly from his FD. His money is working for him without any stress or running after debtor or clients/customers no dey or no gree pay, govt policies, or dollar don high/don drop etc. The only risk is if the bank is on the run but off course that cannot happen again for nig as CBN has put a strong regulatory buffer for that aspect.

FD is sweet when the capital is huge. If you are interested, you can place your funds in FD with my bank, we give the best rate in the market, ours is the most competitive currently on the banking sector.

What I'm about to type may be incorrect as I'm not versed in financial matters but based on what I've gathered, treasury bills (TB) are better to invest in than FD. For me, FD is just giving the bank one's money to play with.

I feel FD should be done using "spare" money.

Like I said, I'm a novice in this area.

Modified: already saw your replies. Thanks

Where do they normally sell it?

Do you mean here in Nigeria or overseas?

If in Nigeria, check Shoprite or other shopping marts around. You can also check online too: Jiji, Konga, Jumia. The last one I got, I got it from Jiji.

If overseas, you'll get it from shopping mart or grocery stores. It's a readily available food product.

Thanks

Funny you posted the bottle. It was discussed on one of my whatsapp groups a fortnight ago.

Some have bought it, would ask for feedback from them....

Ignore these letters, never ever respond to them. You don't need a license to own a TV, you only need one if you watch live programmes as they are being broadcast. These TV license letters have been following me like 'monitoring spirits' since the days when I was a student, these are standard letters they send to every house in the UK. It's a totally pointless form of tax used to fund the paedophiles and boring programmes in the BBC.

Hahahaha grin grin grin...

It's simple: add 1 tablespoon to warm or room temperature water and drink morning and evening before bed. Depending on your body metabolism, you'll start seeing changes in a few days.

PS: always shake the bottle before use to saturate the mother that usually settles at the bottom.

Going to Owambe party a couple of days after your arrival in the UK, accepting an offer of credit card from HSBC, as well as the thought of buying a car (which I assume is the reason why you are trying to get a new driving licence) are classic examples of how not to start a new life in the West. But does that mean there are universal rules to be followed by all and sundry? Of course, not!

Paying your bills regularly through your bank account, and having your name on the electoral register would help to boost your credit rating. This is the best time to concentrate on saving as much as possible!

These vending machines can dispense sandwiches, hot coffee, tea etc and can also microwave dispensed snacks. Usually we're stuck with this on weekends when the restaurants in the premises are closed.

I really embarrassed myself the first time I tried to use it... Don't blame me, I'm not posh at all!
I thought there were plans to do away with these vending machines due to the health implications (unhealthy snacks).
