A bag of unprocessed rice here is #11000-#13000. processed rice is measured in bushels which now cost #4200-#5000 depending on the variety. how does this compare with other places up north where grains are a bit cheap. i am looking for connections to link dried pepper merchants too. get back about beans later in the day.

onions around here are more expensive than the core north but i will establish a link within a day and post.

this is the time business men who are speculators should start thinking of buying yams to store if you have the money to invest. the prices will continue decreasing till february when all harvest is done. then it will start to rise as you smile to the bank.

lol, my brother, 1 hundred tubers of yams will fill more than three or four bags. except maybe i dont understand what you mean. but basically thirty thousand will fetch you a good size of hundred tubers transport not included.

200 yams is not the kind of quantity you can charter a vehicle. Best you can do is find out from these public transports like Benue Links, Pleasure Travels and the rest to arrange for a weigh bill. That you can arrange in Lagos except if you want me to take it up here.

remember the harvest season is around the corner. the prices will soon start dropping as yams flood the market. the best time to start is now. speculators can also monitor the trend and step in at the appropriate time.

bin inquiring from other markets around. yams just started dropping in price. heared that some village markets are selling for #20000 to #23000 per hundred pieces. hope things go this way. had no way to be in these markets personally though. call me.

Today I started selling rice which I bought for four thousand naira at the rate of five thousand five hundred, here in Benue state. You can do it too

Did not have time to roam the market as of yesterday but check showed that the price of melon is twenty one thousand naira per bag of 100kg.
