Good morning NL family. Please my Ottawa and Gatineau, what implication can living in Gatineau and working in Ottawa have on future Citizenship application, traffic, taxes? Is it advisable for new immigrants? Please any info will be appreciated. Rent is really cheap in Gatineau, though all adverts are in french.

Good morning.
Thanks to @Maternal suggestion (to check Gatineau for housing), my friends and I found a fully furnished 3 BR House with basement at Gatineau for CAD1599/month (15 mins to Ottawa by bus). But it all depends on how far you willing to compromise(i.e distance to price).

I hope this is helpful.
Hello Maziude, I sent you a PM. Pls kindly reply. Thank you

I think this thread is about life as a canadian immigrant? But now it has been derailed to how to get FRSC letter,, WES evaluation and other unrelated discussions.
No Building pix, no winter situation pix and rest of things that can make prospective immigrants eager to migrate

We'll I don't totally share your view, life as an immigrant requires that you fully function, being able to drive around is part of it, we're all just trying to make settling down in Canada as easy as possible. On people with WES, the discussion relates mostly to upgrading evaluation and it's prospects not the pre ITA evaluation.

Hmmmmm, I hope we have not come again with what or what not to discuss on this thread? I think living in Canada entails a lot and it may be hard to streamline topics that perfectly fit the purpose of this thread. I personally do not see anything wrong with all the discussions so far on the thread....

@aklas87, I think your preferences is what may make you think FRSC discussions are unrelated to the thread.

Please lets continue to rub minds, I'm learning a lot here.

The how to get FRSC documentation is very important. How do you know if you can drive in Canada straight away if you get there, or how to prepare for driving almost immediately you get there if these things are not discussed?

I think the discussions should go on. If you want to see snow pics, go to previous pages where things hjave been shared already. some two weeks ago, we got lots of pics and people reporting -5deg/cold weather and places to buy meat, pepper etc.

Keep following, you will get what you want. Better still ask questions you need answers to and those that have gone before us will answer.
