No they are not arguments. It's simply supplying information, with no exaggeration. Unlike you that says:

"DENEL Mokopa has 93% chance of missing very easy target in broad day light"

That is a direct quote from you. Made up rubb1sh with no proof, to satisfy your lifelong lack of attention. Anyways, I've entertained you enough & let me stop derailment. Cheers

Stop.

There is no point, he isnt a normal person - as soon as you win an argument he will shift and pivot to create a new one.

There was. grin grin grin Thales convinced people the ER was a better a option.
If they had more funds for the stealth Ingwe we'd probably by now seeing certain of it's features in the company's munitions such as air to ground. I hear those skills are now lost.

No one teaches that.

I can't find any source for a man portable Mokopa. Point me in the right direction? A clue and I'll find it tomorrow when I'm at the office and I'll come back here and eat humble pie.

Stealth Ingwe and tangentially FSIM, were projects developed through the Denel Internship programme. Like so many of those, the IP still resides with Denel, and and as you rightly say, await funding.

Me, I think Denel should dust off the archives and sell IP on projects that can't be manufactured in SA, for whatever reasons. Nigeria and others bought the CS/VP3 Bigfoot and we earned royalties; Egypt is about to buy Umbani/al-Tariq from the UAE -its effectiveness demonstrated in Yemen - and we're getting 49%.
Why? Because we don't have the funding mechanisms to sell those products so cheaply as to compete with low-wage China or resource-rich UAE.

Yes it's a Sit-Rep. This time is a strategic agreement signed btw the Nigerian Army represented by the COAS Lt. Gen Buratai and the Chairman himself of Innoson Manufacturing Innocent Chukwuma to build and supply the NA with AFVs and other vehicles including mechanical & engineering logistical support. In the words of the Army Chief the earlier samples of Infantry Support/Combat Vehicles supplied by Innoson for trials early last year proved very effective in the north-east theatre leading the Army to order more the rest of the 2017 Calender year. This time they ordered for another 100. For the AFVs the Army will partner with Innoson for its design to suit it's needs while Innoson will partner with the NA Vehicle logistics plant in Kaduna for attrition repairs, engine, equipment/technical replacements & refurbishments. Following the Army's request for other models to add to it's inventory new models were given today by Innoson for trials: The IVM G80 Bigger Jeep, IVM G40 Smaller Jeep and the IVM Granite Pick-Up.

The Army wanting to transform across the board for 21st century warfare whilst replacing personal firearm Kalashnikov-family rifles with modern firearms for each soldier (A good thing) should also replace most technicals with these vehicles and save foreign exchange.

This is it! I'm so elated at such pace of industrialization. This is how America started. Before long competition in the industrial base will lead to things in the Air both commercial and military. These sort of human and material resources is what wins wars and Nigeria is not lacking it. Innocent Chukwuma and INNOSON is now a national asset. The EFCC surely knows that. Clearly the 1 billion dollars is already being put to good use. Looking forward to hear orders for the equally versatile PROFORCE ARA MRAP undergoing trials.

Happy New Years Y'all!

Apparently the Army is rooting for local production of Armoured Fighting Vehicles and they see that possibility in partnership with Innoson having proven their vehicles in the harsh-lands of Borno. It doesn't necessarily have to be your posh and expensive imported brand that doesn't meet expectations but something in the profile of what has been proven only this time tailored to unique NA specifications for the sort of AFV it requires for the combat theatre in question. That appears to be the thinking and I'm all for patronizing our own especially for items like this.

Normally such deal appears to be the forte of PROFORCE but perhaps there's a division of labour here with the MRAPS expected to come from the factory in the SW or just smart lobbying from Innoson or more than meets the eye for National Security. The fact is that Chukwuma guy is our own Howard Hughes and he can do just about anything on budget and on time. He's a genius and should be protected by State Security. The Army Chief understands the rudiments and instruments of national power and I think his judgement along with his top brass must be well informed.

Like I have always said, innoson seems good at marketing and getting that attraction than proforce. I don't know if money is the issue with proforce but they're just taking things slowly.

Innoson keeps attracting the military even more than proforce. This is nice, let see how fast innoson can make some units of MRAPS. Apart from the APC from proforce, the ARA is another huge project but seems really too slow for me. They need to have rolled out more tactical vehicles.

Innoson has partnership with different Chinese companies and won't have issues developing a well tactical vehicle way faster than proforce. I have suggested Proforce works with companies such as Denel and integrate some sensors and nice fire power configurations on the ARA to boost her business.

Indeed you see that attraction with the military all over like the one with the Air Force which is long term. Profits is the driving force here being a private company but now with sensitive National Security & Defence investments which of course will make the Federal Government put an eye on things like military grade equipments for export. But same will go for PROFORCE if they up their lobbying game.

Both companies actually also have their sights and targets for foreign exports as Nigerian Vehicles from both companies are already seen in Mali and Libya and other African countries.

But to be fair to PROFORCE, beyond just tactical vehicles they have acquired certain expertise in ballistics to a greater degree than any other indigenous company I think which is reason perhaps the MRAP deal goes to them and Combat Assets of that range and capability which sophistication requires time to produce. Innoson it appears is faster and on budget when it comes to light transport vehicles for combat which the Army needs swiftly.

PROFORCE doesn't have the size yet nor financing to roll out such huge stocks as anticipated which makes a partnership of sorts as you suggested sensible. The problem is Denel is foreign owned and and it's technology not exactly solely South African comes with strings attached which is anathema to Nigeria's military industrial complex.

Innoson makes smart partnerships that works in the Nigerian environment. Why not PROFORCE partner with INNOSON? One builds the other does the Armouring or let the competition drive further innovation and industrialization.

PROFORCE will do well to follow suit and patronage from the Military won't be a problem rather the challenge would be how do you slow down or whittle down the influence of a Nations Military Industrial Complex when it takes off as vested interests in the sector, the government (both the executive and legislature) and the Military will see to it that the funds never stop coming including looking for wars to fight. The upside is it leads to National Industrialization across major sectors of the economy.

This is a very good development for the rebirth of the Military industrial complex.I am certain now that "Vehicle A" and Vehicle "B" as the Army alluded to will have some Nigerian input.
