It's not just UBA, GTBank and Fidelity does the same cos I bank with them

UBA is worst because I use GTB just that GTB's sms charges is out of this world.

same with me, in one day, they also debit for may,and debit for card maintenance two times, then the next day another debit for card maintenance without even any transaction that day even

It is the CBN that allow the fleecing of Nigerians by the banks ,how do we explain it after paying #1000 for the card what maintenance are they making every month ,thanks to the consumer protection that help us stop the stamp duty palaver

All I want to ask U, is did U lost Ur ATM Card before And reaply for new one, and the old one that lost never expire? I too also received twice December CARd MAINT, and I give them my problem and they told me that I will close one I av lost.

This banks are taking advantage of us. Can't we stand against it?

Same thing happened to me during October. The funny thing is when I went to the bank i was asked to fill a form. Come November i was charged double card maintenance i thought maybe it was a mistake. I waited til December and the same thing happened. I decided to email there customer fulfillment center, they told me that the other card had not been deactivate and called to apologize to me for the conduct of their bank branch. I just wonder how this people run their bank?

UBA is a great bank. I am sure there must have been a technical glitch which resulted in the backlog of card maintenance charges

i requested for my statement of account and it was clearly stated for each month i was debited as well as the amount

So i think we should be understanding and not crucify them

I got debited twice. Thanks for reminding me. I will send off the complaint tomorrow via e-mail

But this card maintenance thing is an instruction from CBN nah. We should stop crucifying the bank. They are just doing what CBN directed them do. UBA has been a good bank for me.

I was praising them against other bank, but i'm very wrong. In the last one week i got five alert for card maintenance. Do i call this, stealing? I just said they should continue when they empty my balance they will stop.

Pls I suffered the same fate.. Seriously UBA charges are just too much.

They deducted me like 4 times for atm maintenance on the 29th December and meanwhile i have an unresolved issue with them, on the 8th December I went to use UBA atm at a fidelity bank close to my house, the atm machine went off, my atm was swallowed and i was debited. Went to UBA my branch to complain, I fill a form up till now they haven't reverse my money, I went their on the 22nd to complain again they said the report they got was that it was a successful transaction, I went their today again to shout and i wrote a letter to their manager still same story... We will try to work on it over again

They couldn't send Christmas text but were busy deducting my money.

Same here I now find out and discover the real meaning of UBA useless bank of africa

The chargers for card maintenance is genuine inline with CBN charges circular .The bank is expected to charge it on monthly basis not arrears as this issue on handle. If you lost your card, damages report it to the bank so that it will block before getting new card and to avoid multiple charge of card maintenance.
The problems is charging in arrears for previous months, l know such will not occur again. I feel your pain .if you are not satisfy go to any nearby branch of the bank.

WITHIN 5 DAYs, THEY HAVE DEBITED ME CLOSE TO 1K FOR THEIR FVCKING CARD MAINTAINANCE CHARGES

I THINK I'M GETTING CHARGED 3 TIMES FOR A MONTH. MY EMAIL AND PHONE INBOX IS FILLED WITH THEIR DEBIT ALERT. I'VE BEEN RECEIVING THIS ALMOST EVERYDAY FOR THE PAST 1 WEEK NOW, AND I DON'T THINK IT'S GOING TO STOP.

I went to make complaint today that they have repeatedly debited my account recently and they said it's because of my old card that were not terminated.

Old card that has been there since the beginning of this year that you people did not touch.
