Who knows where NRC usually trains their staff?

I also want to know whether the new intakes will be posted across several states based on their residence or must everyone report to Lagos?

The essence of the recruitment was the recent commissioning of the Abuja to Kaduna Standard Gauge Rail Service by the President. So this can tell you where intakes are likely to be posted.

mheen I got a call yesterday 11.06pm from nrc to come to lagos office to pick my appointment letter on or before 29th december. i had no connections but scaled through all the process. i can say i believe the process of selection not because i was better than anybody here but because the politicians may not have interfered much with agencies like nrc that are not among the lucrative agencies in terms of pay. my concerns are traveling this yuletide to lagos. besides their package has been an issue wish i really need to know to take proper decision. pls someone help. i need your advice cos i have been engaged wit my state for over 6 years growing through the rank and file to a package of 60k but wanted something better if nrc could offer. thanks.

My candid advice 2 u is to take d job bcuz working for d fed govt has more prospects dan state govt. Wateva u saw in d appointment letter is your basic salary. Allowances are usually not stated. Even though right now, nrc might nt b getting any bogus allowances, there is still hope because unlike in d past, it generates revenue and d future is in rail transport. Pls tink twice about your decision

Hello my fellow nairalanders are we to remove hope on this recruitment platform because many have received the appointment letters already and ours not yet been called and we invited for the interview and i know someone outside nairaland who attended interview with me and has OND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION from Zamfara state and have been called in Gusau and collected his appontment letter as assistant technical officer o my question is how can an admin be a technical officer o and he told me that they are following state by state and i belong to Katsina state and never heard of anything else yet pls my fellow nairaland how true it is still there are others appointments in Abuja yet to sign? And are we to still hoping to be call or not? And we attended the same day interview at Zaria with that guy from Zamfara and from then i discover that they have given appointment to the whole zones nationwide but how about second week of January for other appointments or is that all have finished for this recruitment so that we put off our mind here?

Thanks. I don't know where mine was signed or any letters yet to be signed in Abuja. All I know is that mine was ready at that time and the person with my letter was also in town (Abj). But it's possible that some were signed late in Abuja and I was called because I asked about the letter during the first call I received and the fact that I mentioned that I'm in Abj. May be but I'm not sure. I know for sure that the letters were not all prepared at once. Some had theirs in December and others in 1st week of Jan 2018. When I was called to come get the APL, the HR person (different from the initial caller) told me that my offer is based on merit and not because of someone!

So NRC liaison office is now a private compound? Where did you get that from? It doesn't matter when. All that matters is for the letter to get delivered as soon as possible and it's upto them to choose where and when depending on their schedule, location and the number of letters on ground. The person that called me initially mentioned at a point that things are too much on his head and that I should remind him to know how to get the letter. At the end (after 2 days), he said another member of staff would call me and that was what happened.

Amen but induction started today 8th January at Lagos o! Some people only got their letters in the morning.

Congratz o and are we to put off our mind bros as the induction has already started in Lagos? We that attended our oral interview at Zaria i have four people numbers only one person has called and is it because i applied for HIGHER TECHNICAL OFFICER and i read CHEMICAL ENGINEERING because HTO is for those of civil, mechanical and electrical as mentioned in their advert even though during the interview the interviewer said i would be more relevant to their laboratory instead but he asked me how can i do the job of mechanical while iam Chemical Engineering and i told him that if i was trained to do it and i can offer the job so i guess may be iam not qualified for it but have they placed you relevant to your profession bros?
