Hello guys!
The section in the military screening that even your godfather no fit help you is the Medical section.
I advice u guys be watchful of what u take into your body. And for those of u who take drugs to sleep with women. Do-away with anything stimulant.
Make vegetables and fruits ur best friends.
And if u are selected for screening.
The day of medical pls drink a lot of water and try to avoid the sun for that moment.

Boss, I intend going for a course at NCAT(Flight Dispatch) with the aim of going into the aviation corp of the army, the ultimate goal is to be some day sponsored by the army to be a pilot. I know this is too dreamy considering the fact I am yet to join the military but I like planning and strategyzing well ahead of time. So what will be ur advice

Go for Airforce were u can become, Transport-pilot, Fighter-pilot or Emergency/Helicopter pilot. Army at the moment only have Helicopter pilots and Nigerian Amry doesn't have planes yet. one thing about the military is this, before u qualify to fly any of their planes u will go through several tests.
I know a guy who graduated from NCAT Zaria as officer class 1. Yet when he joined the airforce, he was not air worthy. And also I know a guy who major in International relations from University of Uyo, he is currently a fighter pilot in the NAF. So it's not about going to NCAT. Military pilots are very different from comercial pilots. And their tests are different.
Ur eye sight should be 20/10 or at least 20/20.
90% of those Airforce cadets at NDA end up not becoming pilots.
NAF has a lot of planes but few pilots reason is, most of its cadets are not always qualified to fly. Their aviation test is very different. As at 2011, NAF has more than 200 aircrafts with only 66pilots and most of these pilots were approaching retirements.
Becoming a Military pilots no be garri. If not, all the Airforce cadets for want fly planes..
Best luck.
Just pray

if u are qualified. Pls apply.
40% of cadets in the Academy left universities to join. I know a guy who left his 500L at OAU to start 100L in NDA. He is currently a termer 3 cadet..

According to that my guy @CdtSanusi. He says most of Those that left University at any level to join NDA always outshine their mates in the Academy academically..
am also at a crossroad here too, am a 3-times 'REGULAR' candidate and an afsb tested too after applying thrice tho am already a 400L student but am still aiming to apply for 70RC

i've always thought of finishing up so i can apply for ssc/dssc but i dnt like them cos of its slow ascents in terms of ranks and also weighing my chances its very miniut when compared to RC (will like explain to you privately)

what do u suggest bro
please give me an advice/counsel i dnt wanna regret not making the right decision at the right time

your point is, you don't like SSC and DSS you like RC. Good!
If you are still qualified for RC, apply.

All the three branches of service are on the same salary scale. Their salary is been reviewed by the Ministry of Defence Counsil and the Presidency.

Wow, I never knew Airforce train DSSC for pilots . I did my internship @ International helicopter flying school Enugu (301 flying school) the air force cadet pilots where all regular and one of the flight instructors told me air force only trains RC guys because they own the airforce(though heartbreaking), but b4 I left some guys (dssc) from ICT dept where about to be sent for training to bcom drone pilots.
I believe acute shortage of pilots will force them to look the way of dssc.

Correct.. her name is blessing I've met her once at airforce base Enugu .
But she holds a Commercial pilot license(cpl) from NCAT . Air force sent her for JOC(Jet orientation course)
I'm gingered walahi Air force I've always being my 1st choice while army is back up plan. last year I was shortlisted in air force but I was still serving , because of NYSC cert I was eased out. Painful, but I'm not giving up

The present Chief Of Air Staff is not a RC guy. Yet He is a transport pilot. I won't say the instructor lied to you. I will assumed he doesn't know. Remeber I said some personnel don't know much about the system.

Allah na true you talk, not all officers know everything abt the force, because in my dept two ICT guys where going for drone pilot course . But to get airforce hard pass army. . .
One thing I love about airforce is the rate at which they send their officers for courses abroad, any small thing you don go jand for course with huge estacodes.
