Hmmmm...and they expect Kano Pillars not to feel robbed and want to do same to their next visitors.

The refs are very easy to manipulate as the home teams are responsible for taking care of the refs before the game.

Someone will emerge highest goal scorer now from such devious decisions and you want us to take him serious.

the bolded makes me laugh....
the painful thing..is that this players minds have been psychologically screwed to believe that the best away result they can ever get..is a draw...

you need to see how happy and joyful they celebrate whenever they get away draw...

just imagine!

I implore you to read his interview on four four two magazine where he said he's been discussing tactical aspects of the game right from when he was a little boy watching football with his father and the family. You will appreciate this latest interview more

Mujtahida:

Xavi is already coaching in the UAE. If you want to understand the intellectual dimensions of football read four four two magazine. It's a real feast. Their articles are top notch. You will read one on one interviews of great players. I read Xavi's one on one interview and I was amazed. I read four four two's profiling of Pep Gaurdiola and sincerely even though I don't like the man as such I was blown apart.

Thought he was still playing football in UAE, didn't know he's become a coach. Which license does he have?

We seem to see Ndidi at his best in the SE when he's paired with Ogu (a good cover for his dashing moves). Ogu provides the cover he gets from Matty James. With Onazi he plays well too but too many spaces to penetrate and punish.
Well depending on the game and against opposition Rohr might switch between Ogu and Onazi. The only two guarantee in our MF are: Mikel - Ndidi - (subject to opposition).
Ogu is another player that is underrated.
Until that match against Argentina I never really was impressed with Ndidi in the Gwg even though I knew he 's an excellent player but mehn he owned that match against Argentina and I think Ogu was the reason for his brilliance. That's one good thing about that friendly : it must have given the coach confirmation of some things like how best to pair Ndidi and Ogu

But Like you have said pairing him and Onazi in the middle will depend on the opponent.

He had a good cover in Ogu in both games. Him and Onazi run in circles when playing together so no one wants to sit for the other the reason why it seems he doesn't perform well in the GwG.

Isaac Success and Noah Bazee have not been frozen out of the team. They are out due to injury.

Noah is a starter if fit and he has already played this season.

Sone Aluko is in a far better situation than the unfit player he is up against. He has scored two goals and assisted 3 times this season.

Joel Obi can be second choice.
I see you trying to create an excuse for permanently injured players, I'm not an advocate for any player o, but if any of our players need to be dropped you need to mention a worthy replacement. Aluko 2 goals and 3 assist? in the second tier of English football even Ajagun has better stats, and people will not let us hear word because of him. mtcheew

Ur points are also valid but dis is not d fundamental problem of d league!....ur point will obviously provide more money and improve d business side of d league but ultimately not its entertainment value a key to its sustainability and growth. There must be business reasons why MTN and recently GLO gave up sponsorship of the league....it does not add value in d long run to dia business (a sad reality). Even d money dey will provide may end up in d wrong hands (corruption)....Football is a big platform in Nigeria and Companies do not need to be forced to identify with it if the govt does its part.....diz companies will at best fold up if govt policies forces dem to invest in non-profitable businesses and hence d govt is wary of such policies.

The objective of d local content act is to increase value and and most importantly transfer technology. I work in a multinational O&G company and can say d local content does provide jobs but dat it has improved d value is subject of debate as a lot of diz local companies do not av a working template for transfer of technologies through training and development.

The music industry in nigeria today is big and needed such policy but it was only until recently dat a teenager wants to be a musician like David or whizkid...our musicians needed to be heard more but football already has a platform here.....a policy dat commits local stations to air local music is different from a policy dat commits a company to invest huge sums in sports sponsorship without a guarantee of a good ROI.

Lastly,a govt dat wants to enforce such policies must be serious about playing its own role..When a team travels from portharcourt to maiduguri on a bad Road, it will tell in in its performance and fans will not com out to see such crappy teams and d sponsors will lose d customer base dey are trying to get!

You seem to have in depth knowledge but on your first paragraph, I have to disagree with you. What value does Man Utd add to the the chivita brand ? Or UBA to Arsenal? Since their market is not in England. Do you see Marks and Spencer or Tesco advertising on Nigerian television?
Glo is regarded as the national Telekom carrier with demise of NITEL, they currently have a subscriber base only 2nd to Mtn (who had a 5 years head start).
You cannot say with certainty that Glo didn't benefit from their investment in Nigeria/ African sports when the facts is right there in our faces.
Recall, Glo pulled all stop to ensure Mtn never took the league sponsorship off their hands. The matter even went up to the presidency. If the league wasn't viable, Glo wouldn't have gone out of their way to stop Mtn from taking over (recall Mtn tabled a better offer)

I like looking at the larger picture when analyzing things. For what it's worth money is the name of the game. If money was pumped into the sports sector, things will pick up. The Npfl already have foreign partners starting from the days of Chief Obaseki, when they partnered the Epl and currently with their partnership with La liga. These guys are willing to offer technical support if the money was available.
The Chinese league picked up considerably when they invested Billions into the project, money is everything in sports.

If there was money in the system no team will travel by bus from Port Harcourt to Maiduguri in the first place, so the question of bad roads is totally eliminated. You will find clubs booking chartered plane to honour away games. The Algerian team that Rangers played last season in the champions league flew to Enugu with their supporters on a chartered plane! Until recently, our national teams don't even travel on chartered plane. A friend interviewed their team manager and discovered the team was sponsored by an oil company.
Don't we have oil companies in Nigeria? Without a policy to force their hands to commit to their social responsibility, then we are kidding ourselves to think they will find anything worthy of investment in the country.

thanks bro...I have said this before....
they've been cases where the police officials assigned to ensure order at match venues compromised reason because they're the club fans as well....so they find it easy to compromise just to make the home team wins...

the military will hardly play such...I think the arm called the "military police" should be dispatched for this duty....
The military has gradually taking over some roles of the police, its a good suggestion but I don't see it happening.

2018 World Cup: Why Musa, Iheanacho may not make my squad – Rohr

John Owen Nwachukwu

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr has told Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa to move away from Leicester City.

The Nigerian forwards have struggled for regular playing time since joining the Foxes from Manchester City and CSKA Moscow respectively.

With less than six months to the World Cup in Russia, the Super Eagles technical adviser has warned that players struggling for form and regular playing time at their various clubs are not likely to make his World Cup squad.

The Franco-German coach told SuperSport, “My plan is to execute the World Cup with the players who are playing regularly with their respective clubs.

How do you expect a coach to jet out to Russia with average players who lack playing time?

“I do take my time to visit various club sides in Europe to beg the coaches to build my players’ mind towards a great competition like the FIFA World Cup.

“I’m sad the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa lack playing time at Leicester City. I and my scouts took time to pay their coach a visit, but we realised their case are getting worse.

“I hope they keep fighting for shirts to get a playing time or quit the club for a better team willing to give them playing time to showcase their talent,” he concluded.

http://dailypost.ng/2018/01/09/2018-world-cup-musa-iheanacho-may-not-make-squad-rohr/amp/

Rohr said his plan is to execute the WC with players who are playing regularly in their clubs and we should not expect him to go to the WC with AVERAGE players lacking playing time. shocked shocked

Did Rohr really say that? shocked

Who are those players?

Ahmed Musa
Kelechi Iheanacho
Elderson Echiejile
Ezenwa

Who can replace these players then?

What role do they play?

Ahmed Musa can be replaced by Onyekuru or Isaac Success (if fit)

Kelechi Iheanacho can be replaced comfortably by Noah Bazee or Sone Aluko. They can both play the SS role.

Elderson Echiejile can be replaced perfectly by Bryan Idowu or Joel Obi ( as a LWB)

Ezenwa can be easily replaced by Ajiboye, Aiyenugba or the two youngies. Gbam!

What do you think.

Consider the bold, you want to replace Malaria with Typhoid then add Yellow fever to it.

Onyekuru is injured will need possible ACL reconstruction minimum recovery 6 months. Isaac Success is a waste man, can't even make the bench when he was fully fit and now he is recovering from injury.

My opinion is that the pool of talent that we are seeking talent from is just too small. More players should be considered.

You are right on the Ogu-Ndidi pairing. I just named what would look like Rohr's default first choice midfield at the world cup.

Depending on the opposition like you rightly pointed out, we could see Onazi or Ogu.

I am really certain of our WC midfield having Mikel, Ndidi, Onazi, and Ogu... I wonder who the other one or two midfielders will be. Even Etebo is not yet sure of a place at the mundial... This is how really fierce the competition is, in our midfield dept, quality wise, compared to the attack dept of our team.

Russia 2018: Super Eagles supporters’ club travelling with 1, 000 members

Samuel Ikpea, the National Chairman, Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), on Thursday said the club would take 1,000 of its members to cheer the Super Eagles at Russia 2018 World Cup.

Mr. Ikpea made the disclosure to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos while reviewing the club’s preparations for the World Cup holding from June.

He said the club had set machinery in motion toward ensuring that the supporters club was adequately represented in the quadrennial football fiesta in Russia.

“We are already mobilising our members for the World Cup in Russia. We have sent messages to the 20 registered member states and Abuja to send 50 of their members for the competition.

“We have been in the business of doing that for a very long time now, we also have members outside the country and we are ensuring that wherever they are, they are going to Russia.

“Our Marketing Unit is already saddled with sourcing of funds and the sponsors of our trip to Russia because we are a non-governmental organisation (NGO), so we need to source for the funds.

“I want to assure Nigerians that we have been doing that for the past 62 years when the club was formed and we will not fail this time around,’’ he told NAN.

Mr. Ikpea said that the club had received little support from the Nigeria Football Federation and the Federal Ministry of Sports, adding that this would not derail its programme in Russia.

“We have not have not been able to receive any good support from NFF or the Sports Ministry, since the inception of the new government as against the last administration when we received N50 million.

Everton's Henry Onyekuru
targeting March return ahead
of World Cup in Russia after
Nigerian discovers he does not
require knee surgery

By Joe Bernstein for MailOnline

Jan 2018

Everton striker Henry Onyekuru hopes to return
from a knee injury by the end of March to boost
his chances of playing in the World Cup with
Nigeria.
Onyekuru, who was carried off for loan club
Anderlecht in December, is now back in England
and having his rehab overseen by top London -
based knee specialist Andy Williams who is
noted for his work with leading football and
rugby clubs.
Original forecasts predicted 20-year-old
Onyekuru would miss six months but it has been
subsequently discovered he wouldn't require
surgery.

He is expected to return to Anderlecht for the
remainder of the season once he is passed fit to
play.
Onyekuru was signed by Everton from KAS
Eupen for £7million last summer when Ronald
Koeman was manager. The forward was
immediately sent on a season-long loan to
Anderlecht where he scored nine goals in 25
games before his injury.
He could now be available for Nigeria's pre-
World Cup warm-up game against England at
Wembley on June 2.

The 20-year-old Nigerian scored nine goals in
25 games for Anderlecht before his injury.

Alhassan Scores As Austria Wien Claim Big Win In Friendly

Former Akwa United forward Ibrahim Alhassan was on target for Austria Wien in their 6-2 friendly win against Austrian second division club Wiener Neustadt on Saturday.

The game was part of Austria Wien’s preparation towards the restart of the Austrian top flight, which is on recess.

Nigerian star Alhassan scored in the 77th minute to make it 4-2 for Austria Wien.
Other scorers for Austria Wien are Patrizio Stronati (16th minute) Dominik Prokop (35th minute) Toni Vastic (51st minute) Christoph Monschein (79th minute) and Manprit Sarkaria (87th minute).

Wiener Neustadt’s two goals were scored by Christoph Kobald (12th minute) and Nikola Zivotic (21st minute).
