We seem to see Ndidi at his best in the SE when he's paired with Ogu (a good cover for his dashing moves). Ogu provides the cover he gets from Matty James. With Onazi he plays well too but too many spaces to penetrate and punish.
Well depending on the game and against opposition Rohr might switch between Ogu and Onazi. The only two guarantee in our MF are: Mikel - Ndidi - (subject to opposition).
Ogu is another player that is underrated.

Ndidi was outstanding against Argentina. Every Nigerian player had a poor first half.

Isaac Success and Noah Bazee have not been frozen out of the team. They are out due to injury.

Noah is a starter if fit and he has already played this season.

Sone Aluko is in a far better situation than the unfit player he is up against. He has scored two goals and assisted 3 times this season.

Joel Obi can be second choice.

Ur points are also valid but dis is not d fundamental problem of d league!....ur point will obviously provide more money and improve d business side of d league but ultimately not its entertainment value a key to its sustainability and growth. There must be business reasons why MTN and recently GLO gave up sponsorship of the league....it does not add value in d long run to dia business (a sad reality). The music industry in nigeria today is big and needed such policy but it was only until recently dat a teenager wants to be a musician like David or whizkid...our musicians needed to be heard more but football already has a platform here.....a policy dat commits local stations to air local music is different from a policy dat commits a company to invest huge sums in sports sponsorship without a guarantee of a good ROI.

Lastly,a govt dat wants to enforce such policies must be serious about playing its own role..When a team travels from portharcourt to maiduguri on a bad Road, it will tell in in its performance and fans will not com out to see such crappy teams and d sponsors will lose d customer base dey are trying to get!

they've been cases where the police officials assigned to ensure order at match venues compromised reason because they're the club fans as well....so they find it easy to compromise just to make the home team wins...

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr has told Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa to move away from Leicester City.

The Nigerian forwards have struggled for regular playing time since joining the Foxes from Manchester City and CSKA Moscow respectively.


With less than six months to the World Cup in Russia, the Super Eagles technical adviser has warned that players struggling for form and regular playing time at their various clubs are not likely to make his World Cup squad.

The Franco-German coach told SuperSport, “My plan is to execute the World Cup with the players who are playing regularly with their respective clubs.

“How do you expect a coach to jet out to Russia with average players who lack playing time?


“I do take my time to visit various club sides in Europe to beg the coaches to build my players’ mind towards a great competition like the FIFA World Cup.


“I’m sad the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa lack playing time at Leicester City. I and my scouts took time to pay their coach a visit, but we realised their case are getting worse.


“I hope they keep fighting for shirts to get a playing time or quit the club for a better team willing to give them playing time to showcase their talent,” he concluded.

Ezenwa can be easily replaced by Ajiboye, Aiyenugba or the two youngies. Gbam!

Consider the bold, you want to replace Malaria with Typhoid then add Yellow fever to it.

Onyekuru is injured will need possible ACL reconstruction minimum recovery 6 months. Isaac Success is a waste man, can't even make the bench when he was fully fit and now he is recovering from injury.

My opinion is that the pool of talent that we are seeking talent from is just too small. More players should be considered.

Russia 2018: Super Eagles supporters’ club travelling with 1, 000 members

Samuel Ikpea, the National Chairman, Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), on Thursday said the club would take 1,000 of its members to cheer the Super Eagles at Russia 2018 World Cup.

Mr. Ikpea made the disclosure to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos while reviewing the club’s preparations for the World Cup holding from June.

He said the club had set machinery in motion toward ensuring that the supporters club was adequately represented in the quadrennial football fiesta in Russia.

“We are already mobilising our members for the World Cup in Russia. We have sent messages to the 20 registered member states and Abuja to send 50 of their members for the competition.

“We have been in the business of doing that for a very long time now, we also have members outside the country and we are ensuring that wherever they are, they are going to Russia.

“Our Marketing Unit is already saddled with sourcing of funds and the sponsors of our trip to Russia because we are a non-governmental organisation (NGO), so we need to source for the funds.

“I want to assure Nigerians that we have been doing that for the past 62 years when the club was formed and we will not fail this time around,’’ he told NAN.

Mr. Ikpea said that the club had received little support from the Nigeria Football Federation and the Federal Ministry of Sports, adding that this would not derail its programme in Russia.

“We have not have not been able to receive any good support from NFF or the Sports Ministry, since the inception of the new government as against the last administration when we received N50 million.
