This was a real struggle win. Vidal and Lewa were my standout guys today, I like how Lewa was moving to the wings with Muller coming in central from time to time. I'd like to see more of that

Now to the elephant in the room. Edakun Jupp Heynckes PLEASE STOP STARTING RIBERY. Shey he get him s€x tape ni? I'm tired of seeing Ribery start games for Bayern. Abeg make the guy just respect himself and legacy and go by the end of season. Enough is enough! He would do the odd pass but play utter crap for 99% of the game. It's becoming unbearable because you know he is only going to get worse as he ages

Dayo will reply with the inaccurate info he has been spoon fed by Fox News about how America has a lower gun violence rate than other Western countries when population has been factored in. Then he will talk about the immense land size of America and about how every man has to have a Sig Sauer or Remington to live in peace in remote areas.

Just like many have said, this has gone beyond calling for "prayers and thoughts" and while I am not optimistic, I am hoping the house of reps would look beyond party lines and the influence of the NRA in outlawing semi-auto rifles in America or betterstill increase the criteria for owning any. You would think after the horror of Las Vegas people would not forget.

People on the right especially extreme right argue that guns don't kill, humans do. So I ask, are we supposed to outlaw humans? This is not a fight to infringe on the 2nd amendment because when the framers wrote the constitution these automatic rifles capable of mass killings in a matter of minutes were not in existence. The is a fight and a just cause to promote the safety of everyone. The constitution should be a living document that should be interpreted according to times.

Am I a proponent of bearing arms? I would say yes, even though I have remained hesitant about getting one but I am definitely not for semi auto's in the hands of civilians especially in our streets and schools. These are weapons the military fight wars with.

No neighborhood is safe, infact you and your family are prone to such killings when you live around great zip codes. We continue to undervalue the influence of mental illness until horrors like these occur. Anyone with a history of mental illness shouldn't be allowed to own a gun, worth more a semi auto rifle. The FBI failed the country and I am not buying the excuse they are making.

Lmaoooooo. That zones dey fear me to play go again oh but to be fair nowhere in the world is safe.

However I have a little 6 year old cousin who is conversant with drills you need to do incase shooters invade your school. Things simply cannot go on like this.

How can a ninja that cannot legally buy beer be able to buy an AR-15 like you are buying Durex condoms off the shelf. It's madness!!

It's so much of a norm someone was arguing with me on my Twitter claiming the school shootings so far are 'just' 8 and not 18 as if 8 is par for the course and there is no cause for alarm

I heard the ninja had Professional School Shooter in his bio. I don't know what other clue they needed to act especially since this dude had a history

I think the gun laws need to be stiffer or outrightly ban civilians from owning automatic weapons.. The harm outweighs the good at a catastrophic rate and even the punishment for these crimes IMO do not remotely serve as a deterrent. The guns are just too much in circulation. Wasn't it last year or two years back that an NFL player was shot and killed over a small fender bender incident. Why? Because both men were strapped and it was simply a case of who could draw their weapon quicker like a Wild West film

This mental illness narrative also needs to go. It is further stigmatizing sufferers of this ailment who do not possess genocidal tendencies and there is a possibility of mentally lazy people lumping all sufferers in the same bracket which is IMO unfair.

A significant portion of the problem is the conflict of interest between politicians and the NRA, particularly those of the Republican party including vice president Pence and President Trump who have received thousands of fundraiser money from the NRA. Consequently, they are inclined to argue against stronger gun control laws. Moreso, the NRA has strong control of the Republican base especially in the South and the country. if you listen carefully to President Trump and Pence's response, they both avoided speaking about guns, control of guns or the NRA. America has a gun problem, however, they are operating at different levels. The inner city is struggling with the proliferation of illegal guns used in gang fights, drug, robbery, and other illegal activities and then, there are gun problems associated with mass killings which we witnessed this week.

While you are right and make a strong case against stigmatism of individuals with mental illness, it is not true for individuals with diagnosed or undiagnosed mood disorder, bipolar, depression or recent PTSD. However, individuals with Schizophrenia are the least violent individuals and this is because they are careful thinkers who don't socialize or interact well, so they avoid people. The problem with America's mental health care is the fact that it is reactive and not proactive. Suggestions to integrate mental health with primary health care has been rebuffed because it is an infringement of privacy right on citizens.

From this week's shooting to the Mandalay Bay to Virginia Tech to the Texas Church, to Sandy Hook to San Bernardino, to Fort Hood Military Base to the Navy Yard shooting, to Aurora Coloroda Cinema, there is a common denominator and that is unaddressed mental health issues. The right to bear arms, known as the 2nd amendment is being exaggerated by the GOP and the NRA. I have always maintained that individuals who choose to own auto or semi-auto weapons must register with the FBI and continue stringent mental illness assessments every year. Mental health issues are real baba, I am speaking from clinical experience with individuals with these issues.

Today, the FBI arrested a teenager who posted an Insta video where he threatened to commit mass killings in his school the next day. They raided his house and discovered that the gun was a fake and the teenager said it was a joke. Well, he is now cooling himself at the Juvenile prison. I wonder why they were lenient about the info they got about the Florida killer.

Why is politics being played with people's lives? It's funny to see a country so eager to waste billions on a useless wall and keep out immigrants being attacked from within. I watched Trump's speech. Na only once e mention gun! For how much longer does everybody want to keep burying their head in the sand? This was part of what Barack tried to fix but they didn't let him.

Must it hit the NRA, Pence or Trump close to home before something is done about this madness? Are they not ashamed that the so-called superpower of the world have high schools that require metal detectors and children in schools are about as safe as their counterparts in Mosul and Fallujah? Karma can have a sick sense of humor.

America is not the only country with mentally sick people. There is no other way to resolve the problem than with the reduction of guns or a steep increase in the degree of difficulty in obtaining one. Any other route is just pissing in the wind. A country with over 250 million guns cannot be talking of mental health care to solve anything. The guns in circulation is too MUCH baba.

You can get a handgun with as little as $200 and an assault rifle for a little over $1000, that's pamper money! How many people FBI wan trail? How many threats can they simultaneously respond to without being overwhelmed? Why won't teenagers keep issuing threats when it's easier to get a gun than to buy beer

The U.S.A has less than 5% of the world's population but about 50% percent of the civilian owned firearms in the world. Imagine that, half of the civilian owned guns in the whole world are in the U.S.A! Then you factor in the fact that the background checks needed to buy firearms there are so cursory they are practically laughable.

What this leads to is the state of affairs in existence today. When you compare their gun deaths statistics to countries of a comparable size and similar culture it becomes clear that the Republican Party in conjunction with the NRA have successfully brainwashed the people.

There are 1.4 deaths per 1 million people in Aus, 5.1 deaths per 1 million people in Canada, but 29.7 deaths per 1 million people in the U.S.A.

In Australia the last major mass shooting was in 1996 when 35 people were killed. The gun laws were changed after that and in the 20yrs since then there have only been about 2 so called mass shootings and in these less than 5 people were killed. This is contrasted with the 20 yr period before the gun laws were changed in which there were about 15 mass shootings.

The laws essentially placed semi-automatic rifles and shotguns beyond the reach of the average civilian. Then even if you want to buy a normal firearm (not semi-automatic) you must apply for a gun licence with the state police and in your application you must demonstrate a "genuine need" for the gun, in most cases submit finger prints, provide medical information, submit 100 points of identity information and also get a recognized referee to co-sign your licence application. Then you must confirm that you have gun storage facilities which satisfy the requirements in the 1996 laws.

After all that then you MIGHT get approved for the gun licence or you might not. I tell you getting a bank loan or buying a house is easier, lol.

Let them keep pushing the mental illness narrative. I wonder whether na only America get people wey no dey mentally well when the main issue is there are simply too many guns in circulation. Americans would do well to stand up against this NRA establishment and support legislators who push for gun control. Obama tried but the GOP frustrated him till he left.

Nigerian gun laws are surprisingly quite strict. My old man is legally strapped, and the legal process to obtain paperwork for his semi-auto shotgun was apparently so strenuous that it had to be...outsourced

And thats not taking the price into consideration. Legal and Origio branded shotties like a Mossberg can easily gulp the better part of a million naira, which compared to average earnings is a loot of money.

so im a bit surprised to discover that the legal barriers to gun ownership in Nigeria appears to be relatively lower than in Australia.

It might not be easier to obtain it legally in Nigeria, it just might be easier to circumvent the legal process.

But there are 2 things that Aussie law enforcement take so serious u will start questioning their sanity; gun ownership and traveling into the country with food. Enough elubo and garri e.t.c of people wey dem don confiscate for airport cheesy

That gun restriction dey work big time. I have seen enough cases of criminal minded people and junkies who had to stab themselves or punch themselves out before being brought to the hospital. Imagine what they would have done if they had the easy access to guns like their U.S counterparts.
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by Roland17(m): 5:03pm On Feb 17, 2018
Last year, after visiting my insurance agent who is an arms carrier (Legal), he shared some experiences with me and convinced me to consider owning a gun. I went home and was battling with my conscience based on my sense of morality and human preservation. I finally decided to apply for a Firearms Owner's Identification Card (FOID). After completing my application online, my background check came out spotless (Record is everything in this country). The next step for me was to register for a conceal carry license. I started getting letters from the NRA, congratulating me and offering special discounts on registration and one of their letters was what changed my mind about going further.

Whenever you use your firearm, even in self-defense, you must immediately contact the police, never leave the area especially if you shoot someone (If you leave the area, make sure you are heading to the police department). When the police arrive, they would request for your gun before taking you in for questioning. The police department would start investigating how you used the gun and the circumstances before you fired your weapon. If it is not clear enough, the police, the victim or the family of the victim would involve the court. If the victim hires a very good lawyer, there is a possibility the lawyer may turn the case against you and before you know it, you are facing homicidal charges and if convicted may spend more than a decade (depending) in jail. Brothers, the stress, and risks were not worth it for me, so I dropped the idea.

The problem with guns in the United States is the interpretation of the 2nd amendment rights and that is where the NRA is brainwashing Americans to believe that gun control, especially on auto and semi-auto's, is an infringement of their rights. The NRA is a very powerful establishment in the United States and its influence on politics is unimaginable.

Errm. . . errm. Am i on the right thread?

It was good to see Thiago back in action. How i have missed those moves. I'm in full support of Jupp's rotation policy. Keeping the boys fresh would do us a world of good come April and May. Even Lewy is getting used to sitting out games. The team hasn't been fantastic but not bad either. I guess the guys are just waiting to hit peak form when it matters the most.

Ehen, Ribery must not get that extension o, dude has been shitty. Even Robben is starting to show signs of declining with those inconsistent performances. Good today, average tomorrow. But we still fit manage am for one more season. But Ribery must go sha.
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by A40(m): 8:58pm On Feb 17, 2018
Ribery playing today can only mean he is not starting on Tuesday. Ope ni fun oluwa

No point reading too much meaning into this result. We were quite bleh but I'd take the W

Robben still can't score penalties and Ribery at this point is as useful as a candle in the sun

Rudy is starting to look like Rode 2.0. Starting well but his actual level beginning to show

Against Besiktas.

---------Javi--------Vidal--------

Mueller------Hames-------Coman----

This should be the guys behind Lewy

Lol that was much easier than I anticipated.

Walahi if I were Senol Gunes I would fine Vida two weeks wages. Completely destroyed any small hope they would have had to compete.

Was a dominant performance from start to finish. MOTM is a toss up between Mueller and Lewandowski. I salute Jupp for doing the needful and benching Ribery. He fit even start am for 2nd leg I no mind so long as he returns to the bench in the quarters.

Another thing I like was the small understanding Kimmich and Robben seemed to have and it showed for the 3rd goal

I was open for Robben staying an extra year earlier but with each passing game its looking like a very bad idea. After such a good win I wouldn't expect an experienced player like Robben to be putting bad vibes in the air like that. Of course we all know they are divas but if Heynckes retires they would be problem on the neck of the new coach. This is why I'm in support of a clean break

Baba, take a closer look at attached picture which is a note Trump's advisers wrote for him before he met with children and some families of the Florida shooting. Take a closer look at the last one (number 5) "I hear you". Now, if your advisers need to use a note to remind you to listen as the president of the greatest country in the world, then what is the assurance that you even care about my plight as a student?

Arming teachers is the worst idea in the world because children especially in the inner cities are already traumatized by the sight and sounds of gun shots in their neighborhood. The school is a safe haven for many of these kids and their teachers provide some sense of calm in their lives. Who is going to fund this program? Are you arming a teacher with a semi-auto rifle or a pistol? Technically, you can not shoot anyone until they shoot at you and that is a grey area in the judiciary that may send teachers to jail for opening fire at anyone.

Are our teachers in school to teach or to worry about the whereabouts of a pistol in their class? Test scores have plunged in schools across the country, rather than find solutions to these drops, a president is promoting a conversation about arming our teacher!!! From a psychological stand point, would the consciousness of a pistol in the classroom not raise the level of anxiety?

Baba, be rest assured that this is not Trump's idea, this is the NRA's solution and they have been trying to sell this idea for years even during Obama's era and they failed but they have their puppet there now and they are pushing for it. The schools should remain safe and a no weapon zone.

I thought they said he was anti-establishment and would not be a puppet to anyone like Obama was. What is his idea?

I've been listening to some of my pro-Trump friends reasons and they make no sense at all. I really worry about these people who are usually intelligent but somehow their love for Trump makes them support even the daftest behavior from him

How would more guns in the schools make them safer? So if a teacher opens fire on students do we arm the students too? Do these people not think at all?

What happens to the larger society as well? The Vegas incident for example. Do all concert goers go out with AR-15s and Uzis as well?

It's a poor and unsustainable approach to this issue but this is Trump and the Republican mentality so I'm not remotely surprised. Solve the gun problem with more GUNS
