How I Was Deceived At Winners Chapel And Had A Heart Attack by Boomark(m): 6:40am On Feb 23, 2018
I decided to join winner chapel around June 2017 after staying away from church for so long. And in the month of july I resigned from work due to some issues I had there. There was a day I attended a crusade in my area, and a woman called me aside and asked me what I do for a living. I told her I don't have any job. She said ok, that she got a message that am to become an evangelist. One of the female ministers from the crusade also told me the same thing that night, that I have a call. I began to wonder why God have not reveal anything to me if it is true. Some years ago, someone from the catholic church told me that am to become a reverend father and I rejected that. I believe that all Christians are 'called' by God.

I went to winners chapel Osisioma, the Aba headquarter and met the then assistant resident pastor for him to guide me on what to do concerning the message I received during the crusade. I told him everything and some of my personal life experience. He encouraged to join WOFBI(word of faith bible institute), a 2 week bible study program and to also speak to the resident pastor. I met the resident pastor and told him my story. He urged me to join WOFBI first. I told him I have little money with me since am no longer working and that I will need welfare to support myself if I should join the program. He asked when I joined the church and I told him. So he said I should go on and join the program, and also meet my homecell leader concerning the welfare.

The heart attack
At the end of the program, I went to the resident pastor and told him that I have not received any divine direction. He told me to continue praying and also meet the homecell leader again concerning the welfare. I met the cell leader and he assured he is working on it. Days amount to weeks and I became frustrated. He kept on telling me that he will do something about it. My neighbours were the ones helping me sometimes with food. I could not believe what happened to me. I sent message to the then resident pastor(he was transferred to another church at the end of the program in August 2017) whom I first met and narrated what am passing through and my poor health condition, he never replied me nor called me. A pastor told me later that I must be paying my tithe and have been a member for upto 6 months to benefit from the welfare program. If they had told me this in the beginning I wouldn't have joined the WOFBI program. I would have known how to manage myself with the little I had then. So while I was still wondering what happened to me I had a heart attack. I prayed that God should not let the heart problem to kill me. Since then till now I still feel pressure in my heart area and have not been able to go to hospital because I don't have the money.

I was hoping that one day I will get money to treat myself. I never wanted to bring this here but I notice some sharp pain in my heart that woke me up early this morning while lying on my stomach. Out of fear I had to write this here. My brothers and sisters please I need help to treat myself.

I pray you get help, but first look unto God to heal you and not on money to treat yourself. God knows how best you will be healed, it may be you have to go to the hospital or not. I also believe the church will help you if you go back to them concerning your case. Meet your pastor again.
Now your attitude seems to be wrong. You said they deceived you. You don't abuse your helpers. The spirit will not allow the help to get to you. Go back and ask for their forgiveness and ask for help. Explain to them your condition. I am sure you will get help this time around.

Bro I tried to reach them but was ignored, maybe because I don't have money. The cell leader has never called me since then to at least know how am doing since he knew my condition. We are just very few for him to forget me. This is more than 5 months since then and am not expecting anything from them.

I have stopped going to church and this is the second time after Assemblies of God. I told God in my prayers that I will not go. I don't want to be thinking of any pastor this way during sermon..."this man can deceive or can be heartless when someone is in need." I gave them enough time to be sure am not making a mistake and that it was actually a deceit.

That was my plan...to search for something to do when I get the welfare. It never came and I have exhausted the little I have attending the church program.

Use to go out and search but coming back without anything is usually frustrating considering the little I have and the high transport fare.

Bro, always remember to look to only Jesus Christ, the LORD that provides.

I always tell those around me that I am not your helper, the Lord Jesus is. Though he might use me or anyone else to help and provide for you.

That still did not make me your helper.

I feel sorry for all your troubles but it's not right to join a church just for what you will get. Even if you have a call from God, do you actually need someone else to tell you? He will tell you personally.

Moreover you went seeking for man instead of God. I wonder how they deceived you by asking you to attend WOFBI.

Of course bro. God has been using man to help man.

Bro Check the dates in my post. I was working when I joined them in june. I don't desire anything from any church that's why I stayed away for years in peace only for this to happen soon after joining.

How I was deceived is still in my post based on the agreement I had with pastor before I joined WOFBI.

How? Please explain from what I wrote.

I will only say that I deceived myself going back to church but I won't conclude yet until after this period. I have been at peace with myself and God all the years I have not been going to church.

But if you cannot explain how I deceived myself truthfully, don't worry. For now am only seeking help for my heart condition.

He only advised you to attend WOFBI first knowing well that your life would be transformed through that platform. I didnt see any promise from what you typed there. The best thing is to seek God. Pray and ask him for your healing

My Dear OP. From your write up, you were looking up to men for help and guess what, you got what you deserved. Second, God does not call a jobless man. Be not deceived. No where in the scripture you would find a jobless man called by God. The solution is for you to re-direct your steps and trust only In God and not men or their ministries.

I don't understand, did living faith suppose to take care of your living and health?
Yes, they can do it but not their responsibility.
The fact that they absorbed you and asked you to join WOFBI does not been they are responsible for your living.
I'm exactly in your shoe and met a lot of folks that are in the same issue - we are told we have calls but we are not UNDERSTANDING it. Most of us left our job for the training and hoping to get a better job or receive divine direction to God's will during or after the program but we never expected living faith to be responsible for our living.

The pastor did not deceive you, his expectations on getting welfare for may not go as expected thats why he could help. Yourself say that he had being transferred to another church. Amd this might make it difficult for him to assist.

His action not to contact you maybe as a result of feeling guilty of not being able to help.

Am sorry to hear condition, God will help you out

First of all, God calls us to repentance leading to salvation. After we have answered that call, He calls us to discipleship. He then calls us into the ministry. It is not another person that will tell you that you are called. It is the Caller Himself. Have you answered the first call to escape from the wrath to come?

Bro go and read my post well. Jehovah's witnesses reject blood transfusion. They pray to God to heal them but you will castigate them for sticking with prayer.

Tell me you don't go to hospital or buy drugs.

Yes I really got what I deserve for going to seek advice from a winners chapel pastor and going to church. Now I know nothing good can come out of them. God is the defender of those being defrauded.
