Real Concentrate jungle city!! Never really like the architecture of NY

@Op is every single inch of the city built up, please when you have some down time, would like to see pictures of Parks, Garden//softer side of the city

Really?...I had very little interest in architecture. ..but in this city...especially Manhattan...you have to be awed by the architecture...fully functional buildings from the 1800's to modern cutting edge buildings app in the mix. Then while we have a culture of destroying the old there is a culture here of preservation. More on that later via pix.
On open spaces....Manhattan seems that way..no open spaces!...but....by law...there are to be open spaces ...public spaces. Parks and playgrounds are in every section of the city. The biggest park is Central Park in Manhattan...hmmmm...guess can fit at least .....100 football fields!
This is just a tiny glimpse of Prospect Park in Brooklyn..... and the small part of Brooklyn Botanical Garden.

NYC ...Brooklyn. following up on the rise of this building...pass here almost every day. Up to floor 2...it's just facin as ting to me...no steel frame...and up it goes!

NYC... on set...movie production...a detective thriller...Motherless in Brooklyn.... directed by Edward Norton ...starring Bruce Willis and Alec Baldwin. A 1950's setting....so the cars etc must be of that era! Thanks to the paparazzi. ..I managed to snap who they were snapping!...then found out later it was Ed Norton!...no time to wait around for Bruce or Alec...kept it moving.
The director....the Extras....the vintage cars....just a few of the support trailers....wayyy out on the avenue.

NYC....small parks and open spaces in every community.

NYC.......this city has its crazies..... but these types to date are,always from elsewhere..... safe places. I still ask why should a civilian need an assault weapon...battlefield weapon. This one killed 17 at his former school. NRA...National Rifle Association...that raises hell when any talks about outlawing any kind of weapon comes up.

This is a man made park..... sits on top of a sewerage treatment plant. Hmmm.....city planning!

Thing I love about changing seasons, is the gradual transformation you actually see the leave changing as the season is changing
All these naked trees will be full of green leaves in some few months, then as the season changes they turn yellow, then drop and the cycle continues with the seasons!

NYC... been busy....the hustle is real! ...got a break...now on vacation!...yes...now on vacation!...have some time to move around. Unfortunately, it's snow snow snowing....Spring is having a big opening show featuring Winter Storm!
JFK International Airport ....inside Terminal 4....International Arrival Terminal. ... welcome area.... where travellers finally leave Immigration and make their grand entrance to America under the clock! First people out..... handicapped.... they are first to go through Immigration... wheel chaired all the way thru. .. courtesy service...a lesson on how to treat those who are not as able as we. Welcome in how many languages!

NYC... Harlem. ...1950's cars ... used in movie shoot Motherless in Brooklyn. Some indoor shooting is done in the red building across the street. Unfortunately, the building was gutted two days ago...a fireman lost his life...20 residents left homeless... 2 of which I know.

NYC.....Harlem..Polo Grounds Project.... largest Public Housing Project in Manhattan. Looking over to the Bronx...Yankee Stadium. Looking over to Queens.

NYC....in city planning... recreation is always considered. In every community there are public recreational areas.... special section for kids. Why adults not allowed without kids in kids'areas?...to help keep away pedophiles. Park Rules posted at entrance/Inside Park...children play area/ adjoining rest area and soccer field/outside park.

NYC...Brooklyn. First 2 pics...on.Flatbush Ave...shopping area. Second 2...in Kings Plaza shopping Mall. Last pic....in a fast food joint...fat guy (owner) discussing with a lady (city health/safety inspector)...then suddenly he announces....Sorry, we're now closed...I have to shut it down...customer asks...is my food safe?...inspector says yes...the food is. Greedy me...now sensing all their food would now be wasted..quietly asks if I can get extras...girl said yes...and if I want anything else? I requested extra fries only but she threw in a whole heap of other stuff. While waiting...the inspector pasted a Shut Down notice on the showcase...aNd was telling the owner the rules about that notice.... if he opens after, or sells after the notice is posted $2000 fine per day...if the notice is removed... $2k per day...if the notice is damaged...he must call the office immediately or.... $2000 per day. My dream of opening a food joint in this city vanished...just like that.

NYC...Massage stations! $1 for 3 mins... $5 for 15 mins in these massage chairs!...insert cash..and they work you from head to ankle!...this guy fell asleep!...over massaged maybe!...but...some people just sit there for comfort...just to relax..or ..take a five since there's no one to monitor chair use.
