What does being the first governor or last governor of Ogun state, have to do with anything? Does Ogun state begin and end in Abeokuta? What about other local govt areas of Ogun state? Don't their roads deserve any attention?
what he's saying is one governor cannot do the whole road in the state,

I reside and schooled in Ogun state and Amosun has really tried in terms of road construction compared to his predecessors(Gbenga Daniel), and if he doesn't do the one in your area, wait for his successor.

Look at them, elections season to Nigeria politicians is as Christmas season to the electorates/Christians and nonchristians.

During elections our politicians will make all sorts of resolutions of what they will do when voted into power as Christmas celebrants always making unkept resolutions.

Guy, cut the crap. sad Amosun has only tried within Abeokuta alone. Did the people of Otta, Ijebu-Ode, Mowe, Ogijo, Agbara etc not vote for him, too? How would he have felt, if on the election day, people within those areas told him to go and sit down, and wait for his successors to come before they think of voting for him? Was he voted into power to cater for only Abeokuta and one or two areas, in Ogun state? You sef, check am nah! angry Or don't the people of Agbara etc pay taxes to Amosun's govt? I smell lies. What is he then spending all the so-called big big igr of his state on? The state has too many abandoned projects everywhere. Uncompleted roads, dead trap roads, uncompleted flyover and bridges lithering everywhere. The man is a scam.

Have you been to Akunte? Alagbonle and Yakoyo axis? Have you see uncompleted flyover that make the place to look like a big red and dusty village? Why did he start projects that he cannot finish? That area is even worst during raining season. It turn to a big river with mud everywhere. That man is a scam.

This road is the deadliest road trap in the world.

Also Amosun embarks on too many projects at a time. Finish one and move on to another, na lie!

In addition, it shouldn't focus all his attention in the state capital. There are other important places in the state begging for serious attention.

First of all, typing in caps shows your level of understanding in a public forum requiring decorum and sensibility. The bridge he constructed in Ijebu ode is in poor state at the moment just having stayed few years of usage, I couldn't believe what my eyes saw when I visited the region last month. The Amosun governance starts and ends in abeokuta, All other local governments are in dire need of attention, from lambe to akute to matogun to sango to Oke Aro to name but a few. Amosun is doing his best but it's a no no stellar performance in anyway.

That's exactly my problem with him! Now he's expanding the road by stadium by kuto -a road that's nearly 100% ok- to 6 lanes when there's no traffic in that axis! Meanwhile not far away in Akute people are swimming in mud after every rain fall! I just don't understand why you have to waste funds building fancy projects when simple thoughtful expansions would do! The money used in frivolities in Abeokuta Iike that footbridge in panseke should have been channelled towards hastening road projects in other areas!
I just weak for the man

Amosun is overhyped. He has become an infallible governor to himself. Apart from Abeokuta his hometown, tell me where else he trully completed any road project.
Roads that he started are widely abandoned across the state but he doesn't see anything wrong in it.
It's unfortunate the state has no pro-masses mouthpiece

wether you want it or not, even if Obama is elected the governor of Ogun state, he can't build every road in the state, let's not be biased with everything.

And please don't mention tax, we don't pay tax in Nigeria, the 1000 and 2000naira a shop is paying per year is what he'll use to construct the whole state in 8years? Do you know how much it will cost to construct a quality 1km of road?

I finished from Abeokuta and I'm currently residing in Sagamu, and I must say he has tried.

If there's continuity with his mode of construction,, I'm very certain every road in Ogun state will be completed in the next 20years as Rome wasn't built in a day, so wait for another governor to attend to the mentioned ones

Oh, we do not pay tax in Nigeria? Then please tell us how Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) made 4 trillion naira from taxes, in 2017. Your response shows that you have never worked in a structured corporate organisation before, otherwise you would not repeat this falsehood. Every corporate sector worker pays PAYE to state govt, which is deducted directly from their salaries every month. Many people like me have valid tax clearance cards, to show for it. sad Then our organisations pay corporate income tax, education tax and all sorts. undecided So stop making ridiculous assertions, that portray you as clueless! In your view, I guess it was ghosts that paid FIRS that 4 trillion naira....

Do you know how much state govts and local govts make from the multiple taxes and levies they charge, all over the states? From signboard levy to PAYE, to environmental levy and other sorts of fees, they reap huge sums from the populace. But the sad thing is that it goes into private pockets of some of these officials. After Lagos state, Ogun state plays host to one of the highest number of industries. Tell us, what Amosun did with all the taxes he collected from them? Were those taxes meant to be spent on only a few communities in Ogun state?

It is people like you that give governors and elected officials a false sense of achievement. Since you feel that he did very well in Shagamu and Abeokuta, tell him to stay in Sagamu & Abeokuta, when the next election year comes round in 2019. He should not go to other local govt areas in Ogun state, to canvas for votes since he did NOTHING in their areas. Even within Agbara with all the industries there that pay all sorts of taxes, he has failed to fix their roads or improve their infrastructure. I guess those people made a huge mistake in voting for him initially. Was Amosun elected to govern just Sagamu & Abeokuta only, or just a section of Ogun state? Nansense. angry

Are they also finding it difficult as they are collecting funds meant for local government developments?

Why are Nigerians always giving excuses for stupid politicians bad governance when in four years term in office?

Until these foolish governors and their mumus state house of assemblies allow local government chairmen function as they used to be way back, Nigeria will continue to be in the state of unkept public toilets.

Oga,talk another thing abeg. Ambode is not overhyped at all. The man is tirelessly working for the betterment of Lagos state and I can vividly say he has achieved in 3 years what some state governors have failed to achieve in 7 to 8 years of office. Apart from Nyesom Wike,no governor is really his match in infrastructural and developmental projects. Though he may has his shortcomings, still we have to cut him some slack.

yes I don't work in a corporate organisation, I'm self employed and i speak for myself and my business terrain when i said Nigerians don't pay tax compared to how taxes are being paid in other countries.

I'm not justifying the corruption of our politicians on how they loot tax payers money but to say because you pay tax then the whole road in a state has to be constructed within 8years is unreasonable.

Is he constructing roads or not? Is Sagamu and Abeokuta roads the only ones he has constructed? What magic do you expect him to perform in road construction in a state that couldn't boast of a single durable road before his tenure. Do you want him to complete the road construction of the whole Ogun state in 8years?

Like I said, wait for your turn! I'm sure you'll rather wish he stops the current projects and come construct the ones in your front yard.

He has done well so far in road constructions in Ogun state in my humble opinion and if you don't like that you can hug a moving truck
