Ok, all is clear. It’s not unusual to have images float through your mind when you are in the process of practising meditation, these are just images that your subconscious throws up whilst you are emptying your mind, again, pay no heed to these at this stage.

It seems to me you are exciting the crown chakra in isolation which in itself can be problematic, this is why I suggested the use of the mantras in the method I gave. This ensures that the chakras are activated in the right order from the bottom up culminating in the flowering of the crown chakra. I would suggest you incorporate the chanting into your practice.

If you already do the chanting of the mantras then I would further suggest that you chant only the first two or three lines. Do let me know how you get on.
Okay
Thanks.

I find this statement of yours that all esoteric texts available to the public are reversed to be rather curious. You do not say what form this reversal takes. To be sure, it is true that in many grimoires, and ancient writings crucial steps within certain rituals were redacted or obscured, principally to protect the uninitiated from harm, some texts being so powerful that merely reading them to one’s self can have profound effects. But even so your assertion that all esoteric texts in the public domain are reversed is in my view simply not rooted in fact.

There are priceless esoteric volumes available in the great libraries of the world, you will find many such texts available at the US library of congress for instance in their original forms, go to libraries in Geneva, London or in fact all over the western world and you will find researchers and practitioners delving into the mysteries of original esoteric texts. Can one possibly read the works of the likes of Agrippa, John Dee, or study the esoteric writings of Johann Reuchlin in 'De Arte Cabbalistica' or the fully extant works of Johannes Trimethius and still state that these are all reversed?
I saw on TV a feature about a traditional diviner being initiated. She had to demonstrate she was the chosen one by writing some unknown things(which the elders watched carefully) on ash.

Could those be similar writings?

There was another one who summoned the spirits by making some faint musical beats on a small calabash using a thin stick.

There are witch cleansers here (rural place with very low literacy) (who use witchcraft to smoke out bad witches, I've met one. Young man around twenty sth, caught and punished using our colonial error witchcraft laws ). Apparently there are bad witches and good witches here - called healers - but most of their healing is focused on the ills caused by the bad witches

They also smoke out implements or charms that are considered "dark" during the process. I find it abit unbelievable at times. But the bad witches here are really bad - according to the cringing tales I hear.

Not a song. Like static. That stuff you hear on radio when the channel isn't right. It happens EVERY TIME

Initiatory process differs from paradigm to paradigm so the writings that I referred to earlier relate mainly to particular western and eastern magical systems. In Tibet for instance, the Dalai Lama as a child has to correctly divine up to three personal items used in a previous life in order to demonstrate that he truly is an incarnation of the previous Dalai Lama, then he is taken to a particular spot where he will be shown the manner of his death.

Many African cultures have their own derived witchcraft systems based on codified animism and each seems to be unique unto itself, of course, there are good and bad witches depending on the path of practice. But honestly a lot of their practise is based on the art of auto-suggestion.

Hello dear, I wish to ask a question with respect to the base instincts of man.

I have gotten to a point where I got "stuck" so to speak in my spiritual progress. As I meditate on the issue and with self introspection, "something" seems to indicate to me that the problem has to do with the base nature.

Provided I decoded the message correctly, it seems that certain heights can be attained only after a practitioner has successfully unleashed his animal side, the instinctive aspect of ourselves which is repressed by society and civilization (rightfully so!).

I have not found a single treatise on the issue, and no mean I have to check how valid this is. What do you think?

On a normal day I would have found such quite dark but it dawns on me for sometimes now.

In simple words it is: You have to satisfy your natural urges and be what you truly are before you can climb up on the ladder.

Hi LoJ, my apologies for the delay in my response, it’s taken a while to gather my thoughts on the issues you raise. I thought long and hard about putting a response in the public domain but I feel that ultimately others silently treading the same path might find something useful also. For that reason I will try to be as comprehensive as I can.

It is not unusual to arrive at a plateau during spiritual practice or a state of inertia, the good news is that your cognisance of such a state is in itself a form of progress. The path to the more obscure realms of spiritual experience requires an immersion into several systems, as well as a natural feelings for these experiences to begin with. Very few will discover what lies above the tableau that you find yourself stranded in the time that their natural lives will permit.

In truth, speaking of these things may only serve to bring one’s sanity into greater question than it already is. But it remains true that for he who has not had the experience, no explanation will suffice. To he who has had the experience, no explanation is needed.

Your experiences are a microcosm reflective of a greater macrocosm. In our quest for spiritual enlightenment, at the dawn of time humankind were infants. The softest of lights blinded us, unexpected noises scared us, and we had no understanding of our individuality. As we grew our eyes adjusted, the solidity of the world around us settled and later we reached out and touched objects, and put them in our mouths, we learned the knowledge of good and evil. The Divinities imbued us with spirituality and magick, so that we could act as They act. As we sought to establish our identities, interests, and goals without falling back on what the Divine would have us do, we distanced ourselves from our Divinities relying solely only on our will, our own minds, and our own strength and the Divine God gave mankind space to explore .

So, we have left the presence of the Divine God, and the burden falls on us to make this realm our home, it is a silent sign of our capability and maturity. The gods no longer come unless they are called, and even then, when calling, the Adept must work and create from his own power the essence that the gods and the spirits will use to assume a materialized body. Protection is no longer automatic.

But unlike what the religionists will say, God has not left us here to wallow in our own spiritual bath-water until the day of judgement, we are here so that we can finally mature enough to realise our birth-right. We have been left alone so that we will learn that this world, this realm is ours, and that we must learn how to master it.

We run from our base instincts trying to hide from our impulse to discover the human limits, because deep down we know that we have none, and that in itself is extremely frightening. Prayer, faith, and subservience are simply a leftover longing for an age that is long gone along with the age of worship, being the equivalent of employing the use of a horse and buggy as a means of transportation in the era of super-cars. When we consider the apocalypse of John beginning with the revelations of wars and finally ending with Armageddon, we can be sure it is not a prediction of the future, but a mystical path to enlightenment. The complexity of spirituality only ever increases and we find that the burden of creating our own reality is oftentimes far too great for us, yet, the practitioner is the Gate through which all things must pass, still, yet enlightenment does not come as easily now as it has in the past, here and now it must be learned, earned, sacrificed and suffered for.

I wrote once that I have had to obtain knowledge and learning at times through extreme measures. Once I found myself asking a magickal adept a pointed question, “what is the secret of creation?” and "what are the governing principles of the universe?” the reply was emphatic as it was unforgettable, “I had to learn” my reply was that I had learned everything that I had been taught but I felt that I had become stagnant in my practice.

The next time we met was in a temple for a cleansing ritual, I stood before a deep stone water trough and was asked to dip my head in, as I did so, I immediately felt a hand on my neck and shoulders, I sought to bring my head back up, it was impossible, my head was firmly gripped under water, I could not breathe, I began to thrash around arms flailing to no avail, I started to black-out and it began to dawn on me, not for the first time in my life that I was facing the very real possibility that I would lose my life, I thought of everything that I held dear, and then at the very moment I felt death encroaching on my consciousness I summoned one last supreme effort to break myself free.

I threw myself up with what I thought was every ounce of energy I possessed, at that very moment, he relaxed the grip on my neck and I went flying backwards, spluttering water and thoroughly angry, through a mixture of tears and water in my eyes I could have strangled the guy whilst he calmly stared at me. I asked if he was trying to drown me? He asked me why I fought back, this was an elderly person I would ordinarily never seek to lay hands on, I said surely I could not breathe…

His reply was that Enlightenment is breath in itself and that if breath was worth fighting for, then so is enlightenment and all that encompasses it. The same effort you engender with your dying breath is sometimes what is required to receive enlightenment, I experienced “little death” just so my mentor could make a point, the enigma being that the ultimate revelation, is but a revelation.

Our base instincts are the engine room of our spiritual vehicles, under-powered, you just toddle along. One cannot truly appreciate Heaven until one has been to Hell and you cannot truly Love until you have learned how to hate completely and with all your heart.

What does it mean to see yourself wearing a mismatched pair of bathroom slippers in the dream? i.e. the right foot is from a pair while the left is from another pair.
Sometimes it the same pair with one of the strings cut.
Some other times I'm putting on one and looking for the other.

The last time I was putting a mismatched pair and looking for where to buy a new one. I saw a store and was undecided till I woke up.
Thanks

Your post just reminded me of my own dreams(really terrifying) which i had when i was much younger.
I would appreciate a comment Sarassin sir.

My nightmare always come in these forms, the first three i havent experienced for a really long time.
1) i find my self naked in a public environment.
2) i always get stuck (my legs freeze) when running from danger.
3) i am being hunted by a relative. Ive had exactly 4 dreams of this kind. In one i was pushed down by another me who came out of nowhere and started to strangle me. Other dreams(one for each relative) involve my mum and my two siblings. In all they tried to harm me.

Number 4 below, i experienced recently.
4) in a short sort of lucid, semi conscious dreams i have the feeling of falling down. Its like i trip in the dream(which i usually dont recall) and feel the pull of gravity on my physical or earthly body. Only to fully awake and find myself on the bed.

Apart from the one where you have relatives that want to harm you, I've had almost all those dream experiences. especially the first. But the last time I had it was when I was a teenager. I wasn't naked by I was standing barefoot in the middle of Victoria station and everyone was walking past and could see my bare feet. I felt so ashamed.

Generally dreams are quite subjective and always best interpreted by the person who had the dream but generally slippers in a dream indicate an issue with comfort. This can translate into money matters and can be portentous, the key seems to be a "mis-match" of sorts, so if you were an exchange trader in any form of currency transactions for instance I would advise that you hedge your bets in the near future.
