Quick one please, I've provided my bank statement for last six months but I changed job within that time.

So my bank statement of last six months consists of salaries from both my old and new company, will that be an issue?

My probation in my new company was 3months, so I'm eligible for leave, what do u guys think

Can a bank statement replace payslip? I haven't started receiving one at my new company but my salary account shows my new company name paying my salary to my account.
Sure, bank statement (if it contains your earnings) outweighs payslip

@Vicjustice

Brother do I need a letter from my company stating that I'm yet to start receiving payslips?? Or that isn't necessary??

And changing jobs isn't bad?? Got a way better one... As long as I have been confirm by my new company under 3months and I'm eligible for leave

I'm all good??

Thanks brother

Or should I draft a payslip myself? Explaining how my salary is broken down?? Any advice please?

Drafting a payslip yourself can be deemed fraudulent and that may get you banned for life.

You stated that you got a new job, how long have you been in the new employment?

I got my company to get me payslips, I was employed 6th of February 2018 and was confirmed 7th of may (3 months), I applied for leave on July 4th. This means I will be sending my application may 30th after I receive my salary for that month. Is this OK??

My new company is registered with CAC and has a TIN number from FIRS, so its legit, the payslips will come with letter head and a signature from HR, the most important thing like you said is that payment from my company should show on my salary account (bank statement) which it does, my account is legit.

I saw a post that a guy was refused UK visa because he submitted a payslip without a Bank statement, the eco said payslips can be forged but a bank statement is verified. I think I can only be band if I produce a fake bank statement which I don't intend on doing.

From your manner of writing, it is apparent that you have already made up your mind about your intention and therefore, you're not seeking advice but rather declaring your plans with much assertiveness.
Well, if you're willing to accept it, your chance of being refused a visa is overwhelmingly high for reason of unsustained employment as you haven't yet exceeded one year in your current job.

Sorry vicjustice, didn't mean to appear rude. If I did, I am truly sorry. You have been a great help and I respect you for that, I've been in a shitty job for over five years and just got lucky to have gotten this one. I've never travelled before due to a crappy job but now I can afford to I want to travel. I'll take your advice, its just not fair that one must work that long before travelling, so cos I changed job I cannot travel??

You weren't "rude". it's just that your comments seemed a bit bluffing.
Now that we are seemingly on common ground, I'll tell you plainly that your visa application would be refused because, you haven't yet exceeded the mandatory one year period after which your tax return will be evaluated, and your job sustainability is assessed.

please I need your honest advice. I applied for B1/B2 visa(child birth) with my hubby and we were denied. The visa officer said, she believes we do not have strong ties to Nigeria and hubby has his business and properties for which she didn't ask about. The visa officer asked for his personal statement of account and we took for only his business account because we felt that will be the funding account. Besides he doesn't really use the personal acct so it's not quite funded. If I reapply, what can I do differently bearing in mind that hubby will be my sponsor or do you think I should just let things be?
Thank you

Good afternoon and thank you in advance for your help. I have a good job in a foreign company and my husband has his own business. We want to go on a family vacation with our 2 boys to the US and i'm going to be the principal applicant, but the thing is we both do not even have any substantial savings in our account right now but we'll get the money before early September when we intend to travel. I intended depositing some money in my account before the interview date before I stumbled upon this thread and now o don't know what to do. Please what do you suggest?

Could payments of 100-200k every month, from January to June, aside my salary of about 102/103k be termed as lodgement?
Re: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by aghaibiam(f): 5:07pm On May 25, 2018
I am going for a training in China by June ending .The Chinese govt institution is providing accommodation and feeding while my own office( govt agency) is paying for tickets and sustenance.
I applied and went for interview with all documents but visa was denied.I applied in Abuja center.
No questions was asked and I was not given any reason.
What could have gone wrong?

@vicjustice,

Hello and thanks for all the tips. I have my F1 Visa interview for my PhD in USA next week. However I am a bit skeptical about my sponsorship because there seems to be no direct linkage in our family tree, but he has been sponsoring me since my undergrad due to some child bearing issues. He has accepted to see me through my academic years during my PhD and I have his bank statements and a cover letter from him affirming this sponsorship.

I’d appreciate any advice you can render to convince the visa officer that he’s truly ready to sponsor me.

We also don’t bear the same surname

When you said "he has been sponsoring me since my undergrad due to some child bearing issues", i suppose you meant that he had somehow been financially assisting you in during the course of your undergraduate period. If my presumption is correct, then in the perspective of a visa officer, that person who had been offering such financial assistance would not be in the same capacity as a sponsor for international scholarship.
I assume that you read the front page article in which i explained who is eligible for sponsorship... The question is, can you reasonably articulate what your "sponsor" stands to gain from sponsoring your education abroad?

@justwise
I have read this post about Bank statements but I have a regular job where I earn 6 figures basic salary but the quarterly commission is slightly bigger. I also have a side business, though, unregistered with CAC, has good balance (and good deposits/withdrawal history) and I have a dedicated bank account for that.

I want to vacation soon but if you check my expenses for the travel (lets leave country for now) based on my basic salary, it may not take care (I mean, if I earn a total of 1.6M a year and my trip costs N1.6- 2M) but since my side business isn't registered (more like one man business), Can I combine my regular job salary account and my private business account (also in my name)? Or what do I do?

Again, where I work, the parent company can pay our emoluments with one or two different subsidiary company names.

Although, I am thinking of registering my company soon but I don't know if recent registration is a pro or con to my visa application.

Pls reply.

Using an unregistered business or its associated bank account statement in support of your visa application will negatively impact the application because, in the perspective of a visa officer, this is corruption.
If you decide to register your company, then I recommend that you wait for one year before you apply for a visa with it.
