Its been my dream to work for an international NGO. With over 5 years of experience in the media and communication sector haven't yet gotten my chance with them.

Once you have no experience in the NGO sector your chances seem lesser. But na one organization go give person chance one day.

now reverse is the case, unemployment, Naira has no value again, the country is in a dilemma. Our politicians keep driving us back. The smallest denomination which is #5 cannot buy anything in this country. Education is getting worse day by day... I think revolution is the answer to this country.

why not volunteer in an NGO for six months , and move to volunteer in a bigger one thereafter
. While being there , I can bet you your network and the relationship you would have built , would open the door to you. Volunteeerism gives you that edge. I have studied you from afar ,and I can bet you there are a lot of good your media skills can do the development world in terms of awareness, advocacy etc Just imagine what effects the right photographs, words and videos can have on the world's attention.....think about it.

Hi, you are right, although even volunteering with some of them seems difficult, besides I wnt lie at this stage in life volunteering is harder because I have quite a bit on my hands most days which will give me some change, I wish I'd thought about that earlier after graduating... @studying me from afar part! lolz! that's creepy

volunteering is a lifetime thing and it mustn't be an 8am-5 pm stuff. You can volunteer 3 hours daily twice in a week for a cause you are interested in. And who says you must visit only a brick and mortal location before you volunteer? e-volunteering makes it flexible for you to help conveniently. try www .unv.org for example .
