I studied pharmacy at UNN, while not trying to put down another school, I can categorically tell you that you will better of at UNN than UNIZIK. UNN pharmacy department has a larger numbers of professors, some of which are contracted to lecture at UNIZIK.
Well the accademic challenges might be tougher with UNN, you fail a paper you repeat a whole year.
But overall a UNN pharmacist is better of, even in the labour market.

I think the curriculum is pretty much the same.

It is not the school that matters. The most important thing is how good you are after graduation and that one is a function of continuous personal development because you can't even learn everything in school.

*U still wan suffer ur self go school? All of us with d keys still looking for were the padlocks are kept. Nig. Govt don go hide all the padlocks, ur key would b useless. Just go buy cows and enter bush with them. U can thank me later.

So UNN is still living on past glory??Whereas Unizik is still creating glory and getting accolades.

Whether unizik, unn , ndu or anyother school in Nigeria its the same because they all give you the B.pharm certificate after you graduate..

None. Both useless. All Nigerian schools are useless. Go abroad or at least try private. The same lecturers that would treat you like trash in public uni would be licking your ass in private.

Larger number of profs that come to class to dictate notes. Any foool can dictate notes to students. So having high numbers of sadists, who are frustated add nothing to a school asides research.. If u grad, no one would ask u wia u grad frm! All required frm u is wat u can give

UNN . If you are a female try and get an accommodation at Bello hall. The hall is close to pharmacy department it makes reading at night easier .

The labs are also well equipped .

If you can, choose Uniport. It has one of the best pharm schools in the country.

But be ready to read, I mean read and read your eyes out.

Ppl fail out in all med and pharm achls in nigeria. As a result of depressed, sadsist and witchy profs.. And no, the equipments are dilapitated. Both unn and unizk is shiiiit

Go to any school where u wont meet sadist lecturers that will frustrate ur destiny... all schools are almost the same.. the lecturers dont do much .. you hv to b determined to be d best.

If you want to get the best out of pharmacy please come to UNIBEN.

Uniben pharmacy school would train you to be an all round pharmacist! No one passes through Uniben pharmacy school without becoming a HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT. It is not just possible!!!

The practical exposures are top notch! The lecturers are awesome! Then, you are awarded a Pharm.D alongside your B.Pharm after 6yrs of study. Uniben Pharm.D is recognized in other countries where Pharm.D is the minimum requirement for licensure. What that means is that if you find yourself in one of those countries, all you need to do is to meet other necessary requirements for licensure and then get licensed since you already have your Pharm.D.

Keep deceiving thyself... I have interviewed graduates of pharmacy from your school, and those from UNN, the difference was terribly, ridiculously, and grossly glaring... It is not all about infrastructure, it is about quality of teaching, mentoring, training, and assessments... and in these regards, UNN dwarfs UNIZIK in no small measure....
Not hating o, and not even from UNN... I judge a school not by her size, but mostly by the quality, intelligence, and exposure of her graduates.

uniben pharmacy is actually 6 years and u are awarded doctor of pharmacy (pharm.D) unlike other schools that is 5 years and give B.pharm
note after ur fifth year in uniben, u will be awarded ur B.pharm and after d 6th pharm.D

lolsss Akunyili being a product and professor of pharmacy in UNN says it all. even the Zik in question founded UNN. in short we have two universities in Nigeria which is University of Nigeria and others lolsss

Op just go to anyone that gives you admission and make sure you come out with good grades, thats all. What matters in this country is the grade you made at school. Outside Nigeria, I'm afraid certificates from here are looked at with caution.

Choose UNN,my sis graduated from there and she's grounded. UNIZIK pharmacy department is still new. I was a Zikite though but anoda faculty.

Any of the school is okay for study.they are both very good universities. Meanwhile log on to www.studylocal.ng to find out more information about undergraduate programs.

Both are Good Federal schools located in the South East. They are duly accredited by NUC and PCN .
Now, Unizik has its pharmacy department singly in a town called Agulu near the house of Prof. Dora Akunyili and Nafdac zonal laboratory. Unizik quota of graduating students is around 80 due to the size of laboratories while UNN graduates over 150 students. UNN pharmacy is together with some other facilities hence more social life than Unizik which is monocampus and in a dry Village.
Also, UNN has more lecturers(Professors to be precise) than Unizik which has only two Pharmacy Professors.
Both schools use the Resit /Repeat/Withdraw System.
So do the calculation yourself .
Unizik can make you a pharmacist but timid, not social and political, no ideas of other aspects of life but UNN can make you an all round pharmacist both socially active and vibrant.
But at the end, it's the same degree.
