No reason for resignation?

No sour stories about him in the news, seems he left with clean hands.

Probably got politics intentions or world bank/IMF calling.

This is someone that'll fit for finances minister replacement.

So long it's the Ivorian Finance Minister we are talking about.

Wow, not too good news, I hope it won't affect the Bank's operation, because they have been doing well of recent.

This man was good to his staff here in Nigeria, I could remember when they disengaged their drivers last year. He ordered the management to give all drivers the official cars they were driving at a stipend amount.

He exhibited a good leadership

I perceive financial crisis via insider dealing. The employees had better watch their backs because they may be in for some total wipe out aka winding up.

The Board will immediately activate the process of selecting a successor. The successful candidate will be announced before the end of August. Mr Kie will continue to manage Ecobank Nigeria through the transition period to ensure a smooth handover to his successor.

It’s not a big deal
Ecobank Bank is an international bank with the largest presence across Africa. Over the years it’s been know for sourcing most of its senior leadership from CitiBank
I can bet that the next CEO will ask come from Citibank. They have a well structured succession plan.

This story is totally false and a pure mischief. The man resigned properly and he is currently in charge. He gave the parent company ETI ample time to get a successor.

absolutely true. his resignation has been on the ground for a while n they've been begging him to stay but he complained of being jazzed (he uncovered a lot of fraud recently) that he doesn't want to leave Eco with a bad name.
Unwritten report.
