The west are responsible for this impending carnage! This whole wars are avoidable. The desperation on the part of the western powers to dictate to all countries of the world is unacceptable. NATO should get away from Russian borders so these people can live in peace.. This is exactly how the west pushed Gorgia and shakazvili into a confrontation with Russia and Gorgia suffered heavily thereafter. Why can't the west stay for a single year without fighting?

. . . but Ukraine is a sovereign nation and has the right to choose her friends. Why should that be Russia's problem?

maxwelltony:
Good morning Nairalanders

There is this particular guy that I met on Facebook about two month ago in Facebook, we have been talking and he calls me almost everytime, he has tried to invite me to his house in osun state on different occasions but due to security issue I had to decline his invitation..

We planned to meet on Wednesday and he told me he was coming from osun state, so I told him to drop at Mr Biggs in Iwo Road Ibadan..

I stay at challenge so I had to #200 cab from there down to Iwo road, I was having about #1300 with me before leaving the house, I was already waiting for him for about 40minute before he showed up, he told me his car has fault and that he had to call his mechanic to fix the car for him, we sat down and talked.

During our discussion, he told me to please give him 1k to get something to drink, that he had forgotten his wallet in the car and his phone is off to make a transfer, I gave him and he ordered for soft drinks and meat pie..

Along the line, he told me he needed to make a call and requested for my phone so that he can direct the mechanic bringing down his car, I heard him calling and was directing the man down to Iwo road, all of a sudden he just went outside and before I could know it this guy has dissapeared with my phone and was just looking at him from afar..

I couldn't shout as I was just looking like a fool because I don't know what's happening, I waited for about 1hr thinking he has gone to pick the mechanic, I tried calling my number but was switched off, he has gone with my phone and I don't know his number off hand.
I had use the #100 left with me to buy recharge card and was left with nothing..
It was a bitter experience for me as I had to trek all the way from Iwo road to Olorunsogo, When I couldn't continue with trekking I had to approach a lady to please help me out
with #100 after explaining my situation to her and she gave me #500 and wished me well.

I thank God it was not more than this, he only went away with my phone, what if he had used me for ritual?

Please ladies be careful about the kind of guy you hang out with, always take your time to know the person you are moving out with..

I had learnt my lesson, and have handed him over to God .

What's his Facebook handle let me set him up

Can you pls think ? How was it possible for someone who was shot at but escaped to hear the language of the attackers ? don't leave your brain behind ok.
I can't buy that tribalism

The escaped man said on FreshFM Ibadan that he was asked to come down, that a distraction from accident victim (caused by these people) that ran toward the express from the bush distracted the bandit which made him reverse and fled while they were shooting. He was close to them so he heard them speak besides this is Fulani bandits pattern as done in the Abuja-Kaduna highways

That highway is a strategic federal artery that carries huge volumes of trade and thousands of passengers every day. The federal government can and should get militarily involved in rooting out the kidnappers and highwaymen currently wreaking havoc there.

And to imagine I still took my niece back to school Babcock just last week Sunday, there are times we'll pick family members from airport by 9PM and still enter Ibadan same night. Though they'll want us to lodge but I get strong head say nothing go happen make we dey go home. What do we do now?

So sad to read sarcastic comments from wishful thinkers who imagine that making fun of kidnap victims in ANY part of Nigeria will magically spare the jesters and their loved ones from experiencing the same horrible fate at some point in the near future.

The kidnappers of Fulani extraction that are invading Nigeria constitute a clear and present danger to the ENTIRE nation, and to ALL tribes, therefore only an ignoramus would still continue making light of this unfolding terror threat that faces ALL Nigerians regardless of tribe or region of residence.

Is this the same old Jakumo when Nairaland was still Nairaland before kids and tribal bigots take over? I miss you man, where have you been?

May he be caught. I suggest you send it to various WhatsApp groups in ibadan (eg church groups etc) someone might know him because ib is very small. Goodluck’

*Edit

And for those who seem to get me wrong because I said 'Ibadan is small'; Technology has made the world a global village. The world is 'smaller' thanks to technology. In comparison to the whole Nigeria, Ibadan can be said to be small.

Once there is a face and the face is placed on media, there can easily be a positive ID. Let's hope for the best.

Forget that thing, Ibadan is actually small and don't be deceived by the landmass, you can patronize all the clubs in Ibadan in one night and spend 30minutes in each, so to say, if I were the thief, I would be easily identify and I'm not even that popular. If I spread the picture on my Facebook and WhatsApp groups, someone will know him except if he's just a visitor in Ibadan

Joel Miggler, a 22 year old German who has done several facial surgery, which makes him have the largest number facial tunnels(11) , and flesh holes fitted with expanders

German-born Joel Miggler has more stretched piercings than anyone else in the world and has achieved the Guinness World Records title for Most flesh tunnels (face).

He has flesh holes fitted with expanders all over his face, including his nose and lips, but the largest two are in each of his cheeks and measure a daunting 34 mm … so far. He has plans to increase them to 40 mm.

Joel says he experiences a week of pain after his extremely skilled professional body mod artist creates a new or wider tunnel, but as soon as it has healed he starts thinking about the next one.

He would even like to get an eye-ball implant in the future.

Lol, I was once in that situation as a fresh graduate in 2011 or so, na so my guy forwarded a text message that I had been shortlisted for job interview in a new fruit juice production company at address besides MRS Filling station, New Gbagi, Ibadan (I didn't apply nor send my CV to them o but I wasn't thinking straight) and I should come with my CV, writing materials for exam and interview.
On the eve of the D-day, I prepared my suit and tie, shined my shoes, went to get books on fruit production and read all night like we used to do in school. On that day, we lined up to enter the hall, wrote our names and the contact number who invited us for the interview, question papers passed, I quickly devoured the simple questions (my brain was red hot, even reading before entering like we used to do before exams) and submitted as a bad guy.

. . . To be continue (make i round up from work)
