movein: I went to the immigration office today and i was told i can't renew my passport coz i still have 8 months left on it.. I don't think i have a choice.. I'll just apply like that or is it possible i get my passport from CDHC after some months for me to renew my passport and then return it??
Its possible and I believe you would be contacted and advised to renew (especially when your TRV is about to be issued)at which point you may request to withdraw for renewal purposes. Or you may initiate the request at the appropriate time.

All the best!

tolulopepeter: Please house, I submitted my application on the 5th of April at VAC but I haven't heard anything...please, what do u advise or think? This is the 10th week.
NB : I didn't add letter of intent becos it was not in the checklist.
NB : Please, don't console me..just sincere with me...

I will appreciate your responses.

Fear not for the non-inclusion of Letter of Intent. I did not submit a letter of intent to the Deputy High Commission, and I got my study permit. Be of good cheer and unwavering faith! Victory is at hand!

parisbluefox: Bro please i need to know more about this Maple agency. Are they reliable? please share your contact info so we can talk more please.

In my opinion Maple is QUITE reliable but will make your pocket feel their presence in your life.

This forum is free, fun(minus the occasional insults) & you get hands-on experience on handling these sort of issues... which you would find invaluable for the rest of your "Journey"... You just gotta read through the thread.
All the best mate! smiley

VCTROKOYE: The way the letter from vfs was written is “Receipt of total payment of a year tuition and accommodation fees must be received by 27/6/2013”

In my opinion, the embassy expects you or would like you to pay the school for accommodation for the length of your prog. But what you can do is secure an off campus acc and explain to DHCC that you will like to stay off campus... actually this advise i just gave has been posted on this forum topic so many times... so guys read through and thoroughly... All the best man.

Destiny beckons.

Please throw more light on the CBN form and which bank did u get that

I'll advice you to use a MasterCard or VISA card, via the school's website. Personally I have paid fees to my school twice with no problems. Payment was confirmed immediately and I got a receipt via email within the hour. One of those which I presented to the Deputy High Commission. Call your banks if you feel you need further assurance... grin

I honestly don't think we should be filling form A at this stage in our lives. My opinion... Cheers!

okay thanks alot bruv....but some one told me her husband used about 70-100k ??

That's possible... sometimes due to results obtained from the routine test, the applicant may be required to do further tests which come at additional cost of course.

Am sorry do you mean I should go to vfs in lagos or call dem please explain am in ph nw, like does the message I recive on my screen wen eva I track mean anything. thanks

My opinion: The message means that the embassy has a response for you, its usually "a sealed for you only" kind of thing. So whoever submitted the application is to collect the package at VFS.

Yes you can, but please read the previous parts of the thread for details.

In my opinion you need to read the Deputy High commission's website in- out, then go through the thread to enlighten yourself with people's experiences, if you are serious about your app. All the best...

iwinosajack :

@buchxx, are u on funding? There is no way CDHC wil cll u for medicals w/out asking u to pay a year tuition fees except u ar on scholarship! Even some ppl dat paid for 1 semester were told to make additional payment of a year & in some cases also pay for accommodation. So I wnder why CDHC clld u 4 medicals w/out asking u to pay any bill?!

@iwinosajack
Sir I don't agree o. At least I have a friend who wasnt asked to pay 1year tuition I think it has more to do with the assessment of your funding with regards to duration of your course. Let's all bear in mind there are details that guides these decisions VOs make that we aren't privy to yet. Maybe someday soon an ex- VO will come here and give us real expo grin

lucky Don: i mean the temporary resident visa form...i have already filled the normal study permit application form, family info form,etc...i asked this because the study permit form has the same questions with this tempory resident visa form.

Dude, if you are applying for a TRV, which u are fill the TRV form. On the CIC website the last time I checked there is a page that gives a brief summary and purpose of each form. In the summary they also highlight who should fill the form in view.
