Nothing like that.

If a couple are truly in God, then both of them are blessed.

And there is nothing like miscarry or barrenness among those blessed of God.

The westerners that brainwashed you Africans with the bible and religion as a whole, don't take it that serious. They have used religion as slavery in disguise to keep Africans backwards. Instead of looking for practical solutions to problems , you sit down and wait for miracles . While the rest of the world is moving forward Africa is not even standing still, they are moving backwards. Anyone with a little bit of a brain is drained out to the western world. When will you people wake up and smell the coffee? angry

Hi Guys, I would like to find out if the 10-15% service charge in the bills of all these fancy restaurants in the UK are compulsory to pay ?

I want to stop paying it, is it weird to ask the waiter or cashier to remove it from my bill ?

You can ask them to take it off your bill, its not compulsory, especially if you received a poor service.

Juliearth:
Spicy Mixed vegetables-chicken wanna-be bolognese sauce is one of my go-to sauces whenever the weather is cold. The heat from this sauce is capable of chasing cold away. This is how I prepare it, but first, the ingredients:
Carrots
Peas
Green Pepper
Pepper mix consisting of pepper, onion, ginger, garlic, spring onion, red bell pepper and a few balls of tomatoes
Seasoning
Chicken
Vegetable oil
I found a chunk of grilled fish and decided to add that to the party
Note that all ingredients a are to be washed and prepped accordingly.
Season your chicken and cook until tender. Fry afterwards (I didnt fry mine thoug). Heat some oil in a pan and pour in your pepper mix. Fry until its beginning to look fried. Afterwards you add all your chopped vegetables, except green pepper. Cook for three minutes and its ready, add your green pepper and turn off the heat immediately and your sauce is ready.

Lool, well, I didn't see any deviation from the topic. I understand that the current conversation may not interest many of us, but I think it's definitely within "life of an immigrant in the UK", I may be wrong. If a "better" topic comes up, we'd all be sure to jump in if we can.

If you think, it's too specialised, you can ask the mod to create a new thread for "switching visas" and "career conversations" but till then, you may have to "manage". grin

So gone are the days of popping into the thread for a little laughter. embarassed embarassed embarassed

Fair point. Two questions though:

1. What was the original intention and appeal of this thread? Its all in the topic

2. Can you kindly raise topics that will re-ignite the "appeal" of the thread? It takes more than one to tango

This thread has been overtaken by the same topics and the same questions for far too long. It has lost its intentions and appeal maybe a different thread needs to be created to answer most of these visa issues. This is just my personal observation.

Just because you were born in Britain, carry their passport, and speak with their accent doesn't make you a British

likewise, a white person born in Nigeria, who has a Nigerian accent, and carries a Nigerian passport also isn't a Nigerian

A black person doesn't have any traditional or historical connection with Britain

Black people, Stop trying hard to be accepted by white people

Comments like yours are the reasons why so much injustice happens all around the world. if everyone had your mindset, women and black people will still be not allowed to vote, black people will still be asked to sit behind the bus. etc the list goes on.
We have got to stand up for what is right even if it makes the majority feel uncomfortable. This lady was born and brought up in Britain, that makes her a black British by birth, it doesn't matter if her parents came from Timbuktu.

This is not true. We will be paying the money wasted on Covid for years!!
The furlough scheme had a lot of issues. Tax payer funds were wasted. I did not see any country that was paying people 80% and also gave them the opportunity to be working full time on another job. A lot of people were just collecting free money while working with another company.

Covid was new to everyone, no one the right solution at the time, even the experts. These mistakes are better than a full blown recession.

In your eyes? This man literally saved 20 million jobs using the furlough scheme.
He was in a rush to support businesses and there was no time for checks. I can tell you what the economy has made since then is far more than they underwrote.

Please remind them.

And everyone knows this. Rushi Sunak is a very smart guy and had the best policies. He saved the UK from a full blown recession during covid .
What is Liz Truss track record?

Exactly...

Imagine a Russian being the president of Nigeria because he has a Nigerian passport and can speak English. Is that not Russia colonising us again?

Truth is reserving that position for themselves is fair. If you don't like it go back to your country.

if everyone had this mentality, blacks would have still being in chain shackles. Even the whites that fought for the freedom of the blacks dont think this way. The freedom that the minorities enjoy today was fought for by both black and white. Not everyone wants to settle for less. Minorities contribute loads to the system, its only fair that they should not be shoved to the sidelines.
Russia and Nigeria are not fair societies so dont compare them to the UK.

Honestly its very sad, anytime something did not go our way we pick up race-card. Its only fair when we win else it is racism.

This is not me saying that racism does not play a part in some decision making, yes it does but not all the time.

I dont think this is about things not going a certain way.

It is fair to speak the truth.

There were two candidates and of the two Sunak had better policies.

Yes, there were many things against him which included stabbing Boris in the back, not being in touch with reality, his wife tax dom ....etc dadidadidah.......

So was Lis Truss, her affairs, integrity and she is also rich etc.........

but the main issue was his race. The main radio and TV stations have debated this and come to this conclusion.

Like someone said here that we should be happy that blacks are included on their table at all. Wow!!! This kind of mentality is self defeatist and baffling.

This is 2022, dont compare the UK to Nigeria. This is a developed country. Blacks and browns are part of this system and intend to be wholly included and not just accept the crumbs from the table.

If yes , what are your main tools and if you’re female I will love to hear from you.

You asked the wrong question?

You should have included Big Brother niaja in your question.

Nigerians are not people that like to do handy work nor read, or do research. You are just wasting your time.
