My father only visited once, but he made sure he put in place someone from the army to watch my movements, he also made sure I made friends with a lecturer and give him the lecturers number so that he can communicate with him anything he wants.

You can't really just put the whole blame on the parent expect if you dig more into the matter and find out that it was the parents negligence that caused.
There is a lack of feedback system to make parents know that their wards are in school and doing well or bad. In private universities, I heard that they send the students results to their parents.

Parenting is all about taking responsibility of a child and when you are responsible for something, every fault that the thing has become your fault. That is what responsibility means. or are you saying that parents aren't responsible for their kids.

Also about feedback system, a true parent who is responsible for their kids will know how the child behaves normally and foresee possible anomalies if the child is sent to a school far away, so he will put someone there to watch over him. There was a guy in the army watching over me while I was in school and reporting to my father.

So don't tell me about feedback system.

These people have never been online one day to condemn the killings they did it in life and not the e-warriors who wouldn't appear for #EndSars protest.

First, the parents deserve the blame for what is called negligence. Most parents these days give excuses and assume things when training their children. They claim their work is taking a toll on them and they can't provide the necessary attention the child needs.

The ones that provide the attention do it wrong, they don't know that the world has changed and children are easily deluded compared to the past, there are more vices than before and in this world, the only thing that truly exists as fun is immoral things. Most parents neglect these things and say "who want spoil go spoil"...

For me, I don't know what to do because I can't imagine myself in such situation. But I advise the parents to start introducing corrective measures to bring the children to the right path, it will be harder now that they are grown.
